Service was great, food was so good! Really cute spot for breakfast... coffee cups are huge, which is always charming for me!
We have been coming to your restaurant for years and have been very happy in the past. On this visit, I was shocked when I saw the size of my husband's entree salad. Not much there for $19 and he said the tomatoes were not fresh. My chicken noodle soup - a past favorite - was also quite small and lacked flavor and hardly any chicken. The yellowtail sashimi was sliced so thin I could barely even see it on the plate. Very disappointing.
Fantastic! Robinson is a great waiter and food is spot on. Have been many many times over the years. This past visit was partially good. Banquet seat, side-by-side seating with my wife. Loved brunch.
I was not impressed. Small portions of food that cost an arm and a leg, and on top of that the food doesn’t even taste that good. I will not be making a second visit. Would not recommend.
We were here on Valentine’s Day before going to see Josh Groban at Radio City. What I liked about this place was that while they did have a Valentines Day menu, they were also offering their regular menu. Most other place were only offering a limited Valentines Day menu, and that was ultimately why we chose to come here. The service was very good, the waiter worked with my friend to find a drink that wasn’t too sweet for her (I enjoy sweet drinks, but she doesn’t, and most if not all of their specialty cocktails are on the sweet side). The food was outstanding, I especially loved the Rice Tuna appetizer they offer, it’s so unique and delicious! We also had the chicken meatballs and popcorn shrimp, which were both delicious as well. The sirloin burger I ordered was cooked to a perfect medium as I requested, with just the right amount of Roquefort cheese on it. If you don’t like Roquefort cheese, they also offer you American, cheddar, and Swiss cheese. All told, I would come back to eat here anytime!
Excellent service, excellent eats. Very nice menu. Wines are excellent. Will return!
Great venue, service was excellent and the food, breakfast was outstanding. At nine o'clock in the morning there were not too many patrons so the noise level was very low.
The evening was just okay. Everything sounded better on the menu than it actually was. The drinks weren't that great, and our dinners were just average. We almost didn't order dessert because everything else was nothing special, but glad we did. The highlight of the meal ended up being the dessert. The Warm Valrhona Cake was delicious and was the highlight of the meal.
To top it all off, even though everything was just okay, it was not worth the overall cost. I don't mind spending for a gourmet meal and an enjoyable night out, but this experience did not justify the price tag.
Wish the restaurant week portions weren't so small. I ordered the duck and wanted to order a pizza when I got home.
We really enjoyed our dinner together. We could hear eachother talk above a tolerable level of noise. All the food was delicious. Am definitely coming back!
Everything was good, just very noisy for a client lunch
A reliable and consistent standby for us at any mealtime.
Always consistently good food and service.
Great for a business meal
The hostess was disheveled in appearance and with a shortness of tone when she greeted me. Makes sense that Even after giving her my name, she still neglected to check me in for the reservation- already responded to the Open Table inquiry. She was helpful in directing me on where to store my electric scooter- although later she walked by cluelessly and walked right into it, afterwards glaring at me from the host stand as If to say, what, yeah i kicked it. The server was great, very attentive with a professional demeanor. The food was solid. All in all, seemed like a neighborhood midday haunt/tourist trap... good for them.
If there is anything you get, make sure you get the French toast! My sons both also raved about the burgers, and we all loved the truffle fries. The service was very attentive and the management is lovely.
Terrible food and service. Will never return. You have been warned.
Excellent food. Prompt service. Fun atmosphere.
We had a wonderful night and made it to a Broadway show with more than enough time to spare.
Rue 57 was amazing! We went to dinner there prior to going to see Wicked. Our water, Steven, was very attentive, had a great personality and did a great job. The food was spectacular! From the Sea Scallops to the Chilean Sea Bass to the Haricot Verts, everything was so tasty. We told Steven that we were going to a show after dinner and they moved our dinner along in a timely fashion without us feeling rushed. Everything was so good that I almost wanted to go there again the following night!
I’ve been there many times over the past several years and the service has always been outstanding. The server today had an attitude and any question or request seemed like a true inconvenience to him. When I noticed that several other tables that were seated after we were had their food before us, he was bothered when I politely asked if our food was coming.
There is something off putting about sushi in a French brasserie. Otherwise very good!
Very convenient place to eat by our hotel. Fast and friendly service .
It was under staffed or waiter had too many tables. Took forever to order the food. Waiter took to long to take our dessert order - over 10mins waiting when he was standing right next to us on the computer. When the bill came - the tip % were all WRONG. It said that $12 was 20% when in reality $6.40 was 20% which really rubbed my friend and I the wrong way. Food was delicious but service was terrible.
Great place, the food, service are fabulous and I highly recommended. Steven
Always a reliable place to dine! The food is consistent and our server, Stephen is an amazing asset to the Rue 57!
This is a favorite go to place for me. The staff is very professional and friendly. Lovely, vivacious setting.
See you next time. Great food.
The server didn’t know the menu. I didn’t get what I ordered. The food didn’t look great on the plate and it was only okay. The hostesses hang around doing nothing at the door and the servers managed to bump my chair, drop plates and never once ask if we needed more coffee. We gave this place three chances and each time it disappointed. We will never go there again.
Brunch here was a non-negotionable for my birthday in NYC. The French toast and truffle fries are crazy amazing. Everything was perfect. An absolute must every time I’m up here.
Great in every way. Varied menu but still the French bistro vibe, excellent service at every level, delicious food.
This is a very lovely restaurant in a convenient area for Carnegie Hall, the theater district, and anything midtown west side. I have been numerous times and it is usually very good. This last time though we had a somewhat surly waiter and the timing of the meal left a lot to be desired (one appetizer arriving 10 minutes before the others at the table received theirs, etc.) I'm hoping it's a one night glitch because this is normally a wonderful restaurant.
Very good for midtown West dining. Always head there with clients for good food and quite conversation. Price fixe lunch was a great deal. I had the omelet which was very good. we sat for a bit and no one chased us out. Overall, it is a go to place in my work neighborhood.
Food was mediocre. Ordered the omelet and it had no taste. Very overpriced for what was served.
We try to dine at Rue 57 whenever we are in NYC and this trip was just as wonderful as always. The Steak au Poivre was wonderful and the profiteroles to finish were outstanding!
Everything was very good, although a bit pricey for what was on the plate.
A very pleasant experience for the whole family. We enjoyed the atmosphere, friendly staff, and excellent food choices and quality! Highly recommend!
The food was great and so was the atmosphere.
Food was really good. Its a bit pricy... but I just love this place.
Great ambiance, service and decor. Would go again!
Very touristy. Externally, nice ambience. However food standard “industrial” fare - likely pre-prepared, frozen and thawed. You can ask for individual preparation (rare, medium, medium rare, etc) but don’t expect it. Too many really good places in same neighborhood to settle for this
