First trip to Rudy's was Valentine's dinner. Given the large numbers of diners, it was a good experience. I had the eggplant parm w/ spaghetti; very good. My wife was happy with her entre as well. The selection of Italians wines was notable. Solid.

Rudys is our new favorite Italian restaurant. It's romantic, authentic and a fun place to go.

We enjoyed this restaurant very much. It was relaxing, not too noisy and the wine and food were delicious. We look forward to going back and trying other menu options.

Rudy's is an excellent choice if you're looking for authentic made from scratch Italian inspired food. It's consistent and doesn't disappoint. I had an outstanding grouper special with a light sauce along with capers & kalamata olives. My elderly mother had veal Marsala that was also an excellent choice. My husband had pasta with shrimp & raved about it as well. If you haven't been here yet, you don't know what you're missing!!

Tough to review. On one hand the mussels were fabulous and my wife had a very good shrimp, pasta and sun-dried tomato dish with seemingly fresh ingredients. But I ordered veal parmesan which was so obviously made ahead of time. The sauce was ok but the mozzarella cheese was under-cooked. It came with a small portion of spaghetti that was drowning in sauce. The service was very good and the owner/manager was visible and active with the patrons. I may have to try it again but, I mean, how do you screw up veal parm?

The place needs a major face lift. The place felt stuffy and dark. Food was good but would try other Italian places before we go back.

We are not local but were going to be in the area on our way to the airport to meet family. The food was good, but it was a Saturday night and the wait staff was busy. It was a nice change of pace for us and if we lived in the area, we would try it again.

We are transplants from the NYC area and we've been struggling to find authentic Italian food in Charlotte. After trying several other places, I was so thrilled that we finally found the real thing! The food was delicious (try the stuffed pepper appetizer) - as close as I've found to my Italian family's Sunday dinner in the South. All you struggling Italians here, take heart, Rudy's is legit. Make a reservation- it gets crowded

Consistently good food. Small and intimate setting. Mussels appetizer was delicious as was the stuffed mushrooms. My husband had the veal special which was great and my pasta was wonderful. No room for dessert but heard it was fantastic. Great service and value.

We have been eating at Rudy's for many many years and we are never disappointed with the food or the service.
I love the Pollo Valdosta- the chicken comes out very tender every time and the sauce is superb.
Try the in house gelato. Just let being in Italy.

Saturday night dinner with friends. Good service, nice Italian fare at a reasonable value. Only disappointment was the kitchen running out of the lamb shank special.

Excellent food...excellent service...great atmosphere. Rudy's italian food was great and the value tremendous. I would definitely recommend for a family night out or even a date night!

This place is amazing. If able to go on Thursday for the gnocchi you will be in heaven. The owner is a sweetheart and always so kind. The staff is nice and extremely helpful when trying to decide from all the options.

We went to Rudy's after a movie and ordered Veal Parm, Gnoccis and Chicken Parm. All the dishes were very good, with large portions. The waiter was knowledgeable, attentive and pleasant.

Some of the tables are a little too close together and the only problem we had was the very loud, obnoxious group at the table immediately next to us. If not for them, I would have rated the noise level as moderate.

We had a great evening. Everyone enjoyed their dinner, and we could hear one another talk.! The corkage fee is $15.00 so we brought some special wine to share. Our server, may have been new, as he was not as attentive as he could have been and when he was at the table he appeared nervous. Despite that we had a great time and we will go back.

Rudy's is my favorite Charlotte Italian restaurant; it was excellent, as usual. I went with my family to celebrate three birthdays--mine and my two grandsons'--and brought a birthday cake, which was just fine with them. I don't know what to say about it except that the food and service are always terrific, and I like to go there when I'm in Charlotte during the winter. (I live in Massachusetts.)

Have been here several times and always incredible. My go-to for Italian.

Great food, great service. Proximity of next door neighbors a bit too close. Had a noisy table next to us that did not allow for complete enjoyment of our dinner.....noise polution. Maybe not cram so many table into the space to allow for some separation between table.
Otherwise, the restaurant always serves up good food with good service.

Love this place, wonderful date night restaurant

The six of us had mostly different entrees. No one said anything during the meal except for REALLY good, VERY tasty, INTERESTING combination. You know it is good when everyone is focused completely on their meal. When I looked up fifteen minutes later, everyone's plate was empty. The portions were perfect apparently and so were the entrees. We didn't have time for appetizer or desserts, but the entrees were absolutely delicious. Compliments to the chef! We are definitely coming back and hope to try gnocchi thursdays.

Have eaten at Rudy's twice. Both times wonderful. Fresh ingredients prepared with care and to taste. Service is very good. Water glasses always full and never noticed the process.

Overall, good, basic, Italian fare. All our dishes were good. They kindly prepared a spaghetti carbonara which had been on the menu but take off. It was OK, but the sauce was a bit thin.
The other pasta dishes were very good. The bread was excellent. Service was excellent.

OUTSTANDING! Our server was very knowledgable & attentive. Everything we ordered tasted AMAZING! The calamari was crispy, the caprese salad was fresh & delicious. I ordered the ravioli--it was so good I honestly considered ordering seconds! The sauce was so light & the pasta was full of flavor. My husband ordered the sausage & peppers dish & said it was "perfect"! We also ordered the lemon cake for dessert--so refreshing! And the foam on my cappuccino was thick & fluffy like a dream...seriously, I cannot say anything bad about our experience! We will definitely be adding Rudy's to our faves list!
