Rudolphs Bar-B-Que Ratings and Reviews
I am so sorry to say but they have changed there menu again. Everything is A la Carte, you only get bread with your meal. This use to be a $40.00 meal with my wife, you would get salad, potatoes and your meat. I spent $60.00 we split a salad both ordered chicken with potatoes. The owner of this restaurant use too own St Clair Broiler in St Paul, that is now closed. I see the same thing happening here, Rib and Chicken joints are not A la Carte that is for Steak houses and good ones. I am sad to say I will not be going back until the menu changes back
We dined here with a group of 10, including 2 young children. We couldn't have had a better wait person...Mike, did an excellent job being friendly, attentive and fast. The food was great and we were all pleased. Don't miss the collards! They are an amazing side dish!
We went to Rudolph's for my husbands birthday with our boys, one that lives in uptown, the other in St. Paul for school. We hadn't be there for over 20 years, and he remembered Rudolphs having the best ribs and wanted to show our kids. The ribs were great, and the brisket was even better. The sides were plenty and tasty, the only thing I think was missing were some healthier vegetable sides in though- so we added a salad to share too. All in all everyone loved it, any very nostalgic for us.
Very accommodating! I planned a small intimate family lunch to do a Gender Reveal- I called a week or so in advance to verify we could be separate, so we didn't disrupt other people dining. We were off to the back and had more than enough room for my family of 10. They charge $1.50 per person if you bring in a cake from outside but that wasn't too bad. The food was on time (considering we had a large group of different requests) and really, really tasty. I loved my experience (hope we didn't get on the waitresses nerves too much lol) but I would definitely consider having more dining event here.
My Daughter and I were having brunch and it was her first time there. She really enjoy both the food and services. We Really enjoyed ourselves. She said she wouldn't mind coming back again. It wasn't my first time. Have come there quite a few times. Love the food and PRICES ARE VERY REASONABLE. DEFINITELY WIL BE BACK SOON. THANK YOU FOR YOUR WONDERFUL SERVICE AND FOOD.
As always, the service was great and the drinks and food very very good. One person couldn't get a special drink but the server suggested something else and the person had two of those-also two other people had one. Always been happy with the choices of ribs and food
The ribs were burnt to a crisp and the bill they brought me belonged to someone else. I sent it back and they brought one which did not include 50% off father's dinner on Father's Day so I sent it back a second time. When the waiter brought the bill back the third time he claimed that even the manager could not figure it out. I returned home to find three charges on my Amex account. I told them I would only authorize one charge from Rudolph's. What a disappointment, this used to be such a great place, of course that was long ago.
I'd recommend with a few caveats. I hadn't been to Rudolf's in many years, and decided to try it due to the location. The food was OK, but not of the quality I remembered. The service was good. I had a glass of wine and it almost seemed like it had been watered down.
Very outdated restaurant. Our ribs were over cooked and the fries were typical frozen fries. The restaurant is about 25 years out-of-date with filthy carpet, scuffed tables and chairs, and an odd smell. Our waitress rushed us through our meal while the place was 3/4 empty. She actually asked us if we wanted dessert while we were just starting to eat our dried-out ribs. I would not recommend this restaurant- go elsewhere. It may have been good at one time but no more.
As usual, the Mother's Day brunch didn't disappoint. Typical breakfast offerings and a great variety of lunch/dinner selections: included salads, salmon, gumbo, mac and cheese, rib tips, St. Louis ribs, carved ham and beef. After the main course, there was a dessert table that included fresh fruit, cornbread, muffins, sweet rolls and cake.
You could enjoy your dining as there was no pressure for your table. My issues included: the aisles were so narrow that you had to move aside for the help to pass (they weren't curteous to customers), and we had a waitress who didn't treat everyone at our table equally. She seemed to go out of her way to ignore a couple of us!
Just as good as the Easter Buffet. We were all a little turned off by the 20% added gratuity for our party of 7. Especially since our service wasn't exceptional and it was a buffet, not full service. We'll probably go back to our local place because of that. Sorry.
We haven't been to Rudolph's for quite a while, but we were going to a concert at Pantanges to see Jesse Cook and thought, "Why not go to Rudolph's again?"
When we arrived we were greeted by pleasant, friendly staff and escorted to a nice booth that appeared clean and neat. Our server greeted us quickly and got us refreshments right away. We ordered ribs, of course, and they were like we remember them; excellent. Try the Ultimate Rib Feast For Two for $35.00. Plenty of ribs, good smashed potatoes with sour cream, excellent corn bread and I've always loved their cole slaw. Very good meal, served quickly and hot. We'll be back.
