Birthday girls-dinner. For a Friday night during the coronavirus it was not exceptionally busy. The host stand gentleman gave me such an awful first impression that I almost didn’t want to stay. With the market and the virus and upcoming shut-down I really would expect the employees to be grateful for business and show appreciation.

Our server at the bar was very good. We sampled several appetizers and shared plates. The bar area was very nice. The food was acceptable but nothing stood out as extraordinary.

I had asked for one of the managers to stop by, which our rude host said he would be sure to have someone come over. No one ever came over.

It was my second time dining here and although the space is nice and hopefully once LEY reopens after the virus subsides the deck will be very nice. I love the riverwalk and hoped this would be my new favorite neighborhood restaurant. Doesn’t seem like that will be the case.

Excellent location, service and food! We thoroughly enjoyed our experience. We love RPM restaurants immensely. Oh, and the Giuliana Prosecco is my go drink when visiting (and at home)!

Had a great meal with excellent service. No complaints until our check was brought to us almost simultaneously as our desert. Felt like they were pushing to turn over our table. My wife and I rang up a $350.00 bill (with tip). For that amount of money I shouldn’t feel rushed. Plenty of tables upstairs for them to use.

The atmosphere and food were great! Our server was nice but we waited an awful long time for our entrees with no word about the delay or even acknowledgement of the delay once they arrived. My expectation for a fine dining experience is that the service is top notch. Unfortunately, this time it fell short.

We had an amazing time celebrating my boyfriend’s birthday. We have a lot of dietary restrictions and our waiter and the kitchen did an amazing job making sure our needs were met. Everything was delicious, the staff was amazing and the interior was giving off great vibes. Would 10/10 recommend!

The ambiance is really pretty and I'm sure once the weather gets nicer the patio will be the spot everyone wants to be.

The food. Nothing blew me away and I think the value was terrible. We started with the petite seafood tower... we had to add 6 more oysters to get a dozen. I just felt like this was a rip off for $90 and then some. Also, for a pound of crab meat we got one tiny tiny leg of crab. That's it.

We also ordered the citrus cured salmon. It was overpowered by the jalapeño and ginger. The crab de jonghe was good. The golden spaghetti should have been better for $50. The problem is that the ingredients that were supposed to shine like the truffle and uni just didn't. There was way too much going on. It wasn't bad but it wasn't worth the cost. The banana cream Napoleon was delicious. We also ordered drinks.

After tip our bill was almost $400. I just don't feel like it was worth it because none of the dishes were that impressive. I probably wouldn't run back to this place as a go to. Perhaps in the summer to sip cocktails outside on the river.

Bavettes and Maude's still have a more impressive seafood tower.

First of all, the cocktail options are well crafted. I've been to restaurants where the cocktails are an indicator of the food quality. Both the cocktails, appetizers, and entrees were well crafted. The seafood is amazing! My husband and I ordered the petite seafood tower. Normally, I'm not a fan of oysters, but these were so fresh I devoured them. The sauce selections are stupendous they really accented the seafood. Our lobster and king crab were presented on a bed of rock salt; perfectly broiled with toppings accentuating their flavor profiles. My husband spent a lot of time in the French restaurant industry and he was impressed! Definitely going back!

We had an 8:30 PM reservation on a Saturday which is already late for us. Since we were excited to try it, we figured the reservation would be worth it. We arrived on time for our reservation, only to be told that they were running about 30 minutes behind. Major buzzkill. 30 minutes turned into 45, 45 turned into almost an hour before we were finally shown to our table. Meanwhile as we waited at the bar, we heard a couple hosts says “oh don’t worry, we can get you in right now”... seemingly to people who just walked in off the street. This definitely made us feel less than welcome in the “cool late night” restaurant crowd. While we are understanding of a new restaurant opening, RPM restaurants typically have service that raises the bar in hospitality, but our experience at RPM seafood fell short. Food was good and prices were to be expected, but it may be awhile until we return to RPM Seafood.

The overall experience was great. The reason why I did not give this a 5 star was because my steak was supposed to be medium well and it was medium and when I tried paying with cash they told me they are a cashless restaurant. I don't remember seeing that anywhere on the website. Other than that food was delicious.

Nothing was a standout. Food was good, but somewhat pedestrian. Fried Dover Sole? Not many types of fish. Food choices from RPM Steak and Italian though. Disappointing - we will not return.

The miso cod was a perfect 10.The swordfish was large enough to share. Your menu has many great selections. Thank you for having oat milk- I’m dairy free. Also, thank you for taking my dairy allergy serious.

Went for my 30th birthday and had a wonderful experience! Damon took GREAT care of us. I have Celiac and my sister is dairy free and he had an answer to every question we asked. Everything we had was absolutely incredible, we had an overall lovely experience and will be our new go to. Because the food was so amazing, but also because of Damon. It was the best service we have ever had in a restaurant in Chicago, period! Thank you!!!!

We were seated and sat for approximately 15 minutes before our server came to our table. We specifically had an earlier reservation to avoid extremely busy dinner times. He asked for our drink order and was asked about their signature cocktails. After a recommendation we placed our order. Another 15 minutes went by before our drinks came. Another round was ordered when the appetizers were finished but we didn't see the drinks until dinner was almost finished. For a dinner that tallied over $500 with the tip, I would have expected the service to be top notch and have people that were attentive to their tables. I did tip more than 20% because I realize that this is another persons' job, but it really isn't an establishment I plan on returning to any time soon.
