RPM Italian - DC
Coworker lunch during restaurant week. It was busy but the waitress was really good, attentive, super jolly, and service was fast.
The food was delicious, but the service wasn’t great - which affected the overall rating of our visit today.
Love RPM! This was my fifth time for dinner, and I always look forward to coming back! Is it the absolute best Italian food? Well.......no. But it's sexy, and that's very rare for DC. Our server, Caleb, was perfect - gave us great wine recommendations, was attentive, and the food came out fast after ordering. High marks for the carpaccio and pistachio gelato. The sea bass was good but not outstanding, and the chicken parm and appetizer meatballs are tasty, reliable standbys. Side note - if you want to get dressed up, go for it here!
I will also note that I went to the bar here for dinner + drinks one night and the service was extremely slow (after sitting down it took over 10 mins just to get a menu, and then another 10 mins to actually order a drink!) The bartenders didn't seem to care and spent most of the night chatting with their friends/each other, so definitely worth waiting for a table -never had any problems that way.
Horrible service- the waiter brought us the check while we ate our dessert. He did not ask if we wanted to order anything else. We continued drinking our bottle of wine and he came over and asked us to take care of the check. Keep in mind, we had been there less than 2 hours. If I'm going to pay $30+ for an entree, I expect better service.
The ambiance and service was amazing but the food left a lot to be desired.
I enjoyed everything I ate and so did my friend. The restaurant was very chic and I look forward to going back.
Food was amazing. Restaurant week.
Great deal during restaurant week, I’m definitely going to come back even outside of restaurant week now that I know how good the food is. We had an awesome experience.
Lovely looking restaurant. Ambiance was warm and welcoming. Staff at the hostess desk were exceptionally nice and accommodating. We ordered from the special cocktail menu. The food was not that good. I ordered tuna bruschetta, but if I hadn’t known it was tuna, I wouldn’t have been able to distinguish what it was. My friend ordered pizza. It was ok; lukewarm and a little soggy. Not sure I would eat there again, but for just drinks, it’s very nice.
Very good food, however same menu from past years, maybe time to update. Seating was a little slow due to restaurant week full slate.
Great overall—great drinks and nice ambiance. Burrata and meatball appetizers were excellent, chicken parm was good. Olive oil cake was extremely dry (weird given olive oil cake is typically so moist). Great service, love the ambiance.
Our server Luis was Extremely Great!!!! Very Locked in!
Awesome anniversary dinner experience! My partner and I had been wanting to come here for a while and finally got the perfect chance through restaurant week. We ordered from the restaurant week menu but also a few on the side from the regular menu. While waiting for our food, we were asked if we could move tables due to a mistake on their end, but we happily obliged and they ended up giving us some extra items on the side which we were pleasantly surprised with. It was a great opportunity to try several things from their menu and overall we loved it. Tortelli was a little too salty and olive oil cake was a bit bland but everything else was great!
Definitely a good deal for restaurant week. Was very good. Not mind blowing.
Made a reservation for my friend’s birthday and it clearly stated that in the notes. Server did not acknowledge the birthday at all. I felt like she continuously tried the rush us and at one point I grabbed my plate back - of which still had plenty of food on it. Prime reason why I stick with Tyler (who was not working tonight) because he always gives AMAZING service!
Always quality... great service...I shall return
Price for Valet parking perfect. Customer service friendly and good. Food was delicious. Overall great experience. We will definitely be back. 😋
Service was outstanding - from management to our waiter - all of whom were informative, respectful, etc. The food was below expectations.
Shrimp scampi was an awkward twist of lemon butter garlic mixed with a tomato sauce. It was my mistake of not knowing the carpaccio is served raw, but we ordered it and didn't even touch it because of this. It would be more helpful to have a more descriptive menu.
Not very much to write as the waitress spilled all the drinks at the damn table all on me.
