Service and food amazing.
Between the food and the service everything here is great! The staff is super friendly, knows exactly how to cater to your taste buds. Ambiance is amazing
Great food, service, and wine!
Normally I love RPM but tonight was underwhelming. The bolognese was thick and a bit chewy. The veal chop wasn’t bad but a bit boring in flavor, missing some saltiness or acidity.
Service was also lackluster. Just didn’t seem to have the same feel we are used too. My wife and I will still come back, but hope it’s a better experience.
As a last minute decision, we decided to go RPM on Saturday to satisfy our Italian food cravings. We started at the bar for a cocktail, all which were very good. Rather than sit in the dining room, we decided to sit at the high top tables in the bar area because we liked the vibe, hostess was accommodating. Our server, Jose, was so delightful and thoughtful...especially in terms of the food timing given that we didn't have a lot of room on the table. In general, service staff was great at filling water and taking completed dishes.
Appetizers - Lobster Caprese, Wagyu Beef Carpaccio and Mediterranean Octopus
Between the 4 of us we ordered - Prosciutto Toretlloni, Sardinian Gnocchi, Spicy King Grab and Veal special
Dessert - Bill's Chocolate Budino
Alexa, Sommelier was helpful and very passionate about her work.
Overall a wonderful experience and would totally go back.
I went to RPM for my birthday and I had such a great time. The ambiance is everything! I loved their gluten free menu. I loved everything about RPM. I recommend you try it out.
Dad ‘s birthday
For a special occasion, my wife’s birthday, it would’ve been nice if we had been seated at a small booth especially since I had made the reservation a month in advance and I am a repeat customer.
Our server Daniel, was very nice and attentive, but he could’ve brought the appetizers first and then the beet salad after the apps were cleared rather than bringing all three plates at the same time since the table for two was quite small and very difficult to maneuver two large appetizer and a salad plate.
Food was outstanding, but gnocchi portion a bit small.
Wine overpriced.
Happy Birthday cones art the end of the meal was an awesome touch.
All in all, a 4.5 out of 5.
We Loved everything about RPM in DC.
The menu is well planned witb options for all in our group. Standards and new twists populate the menu with specials. Both the drink list and wine list are creative and offer many choices. Our server was exceptional and seemed to know when to appear wothout being intrusive.
Great food and excellent service. The house dessert for the best ever.
We had a table at the bar. It was an amazing experience
Our waitress was outstanding, one of the best we’ve ever had. When we asked her to get the sommelier and then it was taking a bit of time to get our wine, she asked if. We wanted her to hold our first course until the wine was served. Perfect! She totally understood our ordering 3 courses and sharing each and had no issue getting the kitchen to split a pasta course before it was served. her great service just mad a great meal into a great evening. Each course was delicious and served perfectly.
Always love the food and ambiance at RPM and normally the service. This time we had a server switch almost immediately and had to request a gluten-free menu twice and repeatedly had to request water. If you’re paying close to $200 for dinner per couple, you really shouldn’t need to be asking for anything repeatedly. Empty water glasses all around is a problem.
Birthday Dinner
Perfect in every way!
It was wonderful! We got to the bar before our reservation, had a drink, and got seated right on time for our actual table. The waitstaff was very helpful and knowledgeable; he listed all the specials with ease, was clear and concise on ingredients (we both have food allergies). He even threw in a small scoop of the vanilla and salted caramel gelati as a celebration for my partner’s promotion! Not our first time here- so it was a delight to see consistency even a year later!!!
My only complaint is the chewing gum that was stuck to the side of our table from a previous patron. Sadly it ended up on my husbands sweater. I did not expect this at such a classy establishment.
Always extremely attentive, you get what you pay for. The service is top notch.
I enjoyed the extra touch of the hot cherry peppers and the seasoning salt with the steak.
Simply the best DC has to offer. RPM is my favorite spot in DC and everything I try there just gets better and better.
We picked this restaurant strictly from reviews!
We arrived 30 minutes before our reservation and had to sit at the bar.
No worries! Service for appetizers and wine were spot on!
The server was helpful! The food and wine excellent!
Would definitely return and recommend!
Our favorite Italian restaurant in DC, the food and service is great. Been there many times and recommend it very highly.
Ambiance is very New York sexy-chic. Prices ain’t cheap but it’s worth it.
With no one else in the restaurant at 3:30 pm until we left, was so disappointed in the service and restaurant. The waitress could hardly be bothered, was hurried, and hardly came back. Warm tap water served, was a $7 or $9 charge for bread. The pappadelle pasta hardly had any short rib meat. The dessert was ok. The restaurant was lovely, but that’s about it.
Great place...food was outstanding. Carbonara, Misto Fritto, Meatballs, Artichokes were all stellar.
Enjoyable experience at RPM. Drinks were great, recommend the Spritz “P”. Service was friendly, food was pretty good although I would recommend the ravioli over the gnocchi. Finally the dessert was wonderful, would highly recommend the lemon cake.
This used to be our favorite spot. Not anymore. Had a 845 reservation. Waited for almost a half hour only to be told they’d like to sit us in the crowded bar, on a Saturday night. No thanks.
Excellent food and service
The wine list was a bit overpriced
