The restaurant seems dated and dark compared to other Roy's. We ordered the Price fixe meal and the meat was very dry for both meals.

When we inquired about the happy hour drinks, we were told that it ended at 4:00 pm and we had a 4:30 pm reservation. The Open Table web site indicates that Happy Hour ends at 5:00 pm so this discrepancy should be addressed.

We've frequented 4 other Roy's restaurants and never before been disappointed with our meals. Maybe this was just a miss.

Great appetizers. Great service. The staff was in large part management and they all were hustling their rear ends off.

Food was very good, as was the service. I think the dining room used to be a golf course restaurant, so not a great vibe like you find in other Roy’s locations.

It’s definitely for the post golfers on the course. No ambiance whatsoever. Food was amazing so it made up for lack of service and friendliness of the staff

Roy’s! How have we missed this place? We’ve been coming to Maui for 10 years and NEVER eaten here... until now. Maybe because it’s off the beaten path, but don’t let that keep you away. Now that we’ve found this place we will be eating here EVERY time we come back. Great calamari. The fish preparations are 5 star. Definitely makes my short list for any visit to the area.

We had the ahi appetizer which was amazing. Melt in your mouth. The entree we had was butterfish. It was delicious. The service was a bit slow but overall very good. Nice view looking out over the golf course.

We love this place! Have been coming to Maui for 10 years and this is our first time trying Roy’s! We will try to make up for it on this trip alone! The food is amazing!

The servers were very nice, but there was a long delay in getting both the appetizers and the food. The servers apologized many times, but it did not change the fact that the food was over an hour in arriving.

The menu, due to COVID, is extremely limited.

I have been to this restaurant many times and like it very much. But this time, in part no doubt due to reduced staffing due to COVID, was the least impressive of my visits.

The ambiance is non-existent. It's like eating in a high school cafeteria. Very loud and too bright. One would expect a Hawaiian vibe as Roy's is a premier Hawaiian establishment. Zero vibe. Their old location had a lot of charm and a feel that you were eating at an upscale restaurant. This has none of that. The food was decent and the waitstaff was pleasant enough, but we will not be back.

Food was awesome- best meal I’ve had at Roy’s!!! Service was great! Restaurant is old and dingy— as someone said it looks like a 30 year old Denny’s. Way outdated. Having guys come in w/ workout shorts and tshirts doesn’t help any w/ most guests are dressed up.

I always love Roy's and they have been really good with service during the pandemic. It was a limited menu but I found many delicious dishes to pick from and I wasn't disappointed. Still kind of hard to get reservations so book early through Open Table.

Due to Covid, there are few tables which made the resteraunt feel industrial looking. No ambiance at all !! Not even music ?? I would think they would make an attempt to decorate a bit, to make the place feel more cozy. Perhaps groupings of plants in the wide open spaces !! Love Roy’s, always have. Just need a bit of ambiance during these times.

We go to Roy’s every time we’re in Maui and it never disappoints. Food is consistently delicious, fresh and beautiful. In fact, we go more that 2 times and this visit, we’ve gone to Roy’s 4 times. We would have the blackened ahi every day!

A small birthday party for a friend took us back to Roy’s for dinner on Wednesday, The restaurant has done a great job of spacing out the tables for sit down dining, and eliminating the bar stools. Our server, Kyle is one of the managers at the restaurant, and he was the epitome of gracious service. He helped advise us on our choices for the delicious meal and brought individual delicious molten chocolate souffles with vanilla ice cream...and a candle...for our dessert. We chose the seafood in pasta sauce and the Duo fish selection of blackened ahi and monchong in delicious sauce and lots of fresh veggies. It was good to hear that as visitors are now slowly returning to Maui, Roy’s was fully booked that night! We continue to be grateful that Roy’s has bravely made all accommodations possible, for staff and diners, in order to present a lovely meal in safe surroundings! Mahalo nui loa!!

The ambience was no fault of the restaurant, the shades were down, so no view.
The food was excellent, the Caesar salad was perfect, however if the calamari had a dip, it would have been perfect. The rest of the dinner was excellent. Lot of food!
Thank you.

Our waitress was awesome. However, the food wasn’t good... we ordered their short ribs, fried chicken, rib eye, & sushi...... because it was our first time there we tried everything and wasn’t impressed..

Roy’s exceeded my expectations. From appetizers to dessert. We had sashimi sampler, a couple sushi specials that had butterfish on the rolls and ribs. All mouth watering. For the entree I had monchong perfectly done with Mac nuts. My husband had they honey glazed ribs, fall of the bone good. And of course chocolate soufflé for dessert. The Keiki meal was amazing - carrot sticks to start with gourmet cheese quesadilla and for entree we chose hibachi salmon with rice and veggies and ice cream with sprinkles. Overall, amazing food and service was unparalleled.

A group of three of us went to Roy’s to celebrate a birthday, and we were so delighted with our evening. This was the first time we had come back to Roy’s following weeks of temporary closure due to Covid. The restaurant was immaculate, there were fewer tables than usual that were spaced far apart. Our server, Konrad, is also a manager at the restaurant. He was polite, efficient, jovial and a real gentleman. Our dinner was superb...delicious fresh fish with to die for sauces, fantastic calamari and shrimp pupus, and a couple of the specialty Roy’s Yamaguchi sushi selections. There was a surprise dessert we shared in honor of the birthday. In all, we could not have been happier with the entire experience. We applaud Roy’s for their excellent in customer service and food as well as clear and present attention to all health considerations during this difficult time. Thank you! A hui hou!

Have been here many times pre -pandemic and always enjoyed the experience here. In its current operating ability....its
not a good place to have a meal. Stand up only at the Bar, no bar stools...not good for anyone that can’t stand for a long period to have a couple drinks and pious. Meal presentation in a typical Roy’s style was non existent. Both our meals looked like To Go in a styrofoam box, everything piled on top of rice or fries. I’ll wait to go back here after the pandemic is over.
