Roy's - Kaanapali
Atmosphere comfortable and attractive.
Food amazing . Service exceptional!
Service was fantastic! Brussels sprout and cauliflower dish was very outstanding. ( we had Brussels sprouts the next night at another restaurant- no comparison to how Roy’s pulls the dish together!)
We enjoyed our full meal of appetizers!
Calvin was a very personable and efficient server. The food was delicious.
The portions are much larger than we remember. We had the ceasar salad- YUM- one had the meatloaf- tons and the mushroom gravy was delicious. The other entree was the short ribs- my favorite part of that was the gratin potatoes.
Of course you MUST have teh chocolate souflle
Kept picking Chardonnay bottles only to be told they were out so switched To a red and several of those were out of also so finally picked one only then to be told they were out of that so they bought us another one they said was better and would charge the same price.
Duck was good, desert was like a keylime with Gram cracker crust but the Keylime filling was liquidy
Miso butterfish is still most EXCELLENT! Three of our table had it and raved about the sauce.
the brussel sprouts are legendary!
Good experience. Food was very good. The lava cake was a little overdone. The chocolate didn’t ooze out!
Enjoyable dinner, liked the setting, but it felt a little bit too much likea business/hotel bar, which it is not. It's on a golf course. Maybe the lighting was too bright?
Roy's always provides well prepared food, with a bit of originality. Attentive staff too. Enjoyed the dirty martini. The ahi sushi roll was very good, and I usually do not do fried rolls. I like my sushi raw, not cooked. Perfectly cooked Is fish, would order it again!
Very not server. Felt very comfortable at Roy’s !
The Caesar salads were short on lemon and Parmesan but ok.
The cauliflower soup was tasty but a little too salty.
The mashed potatoes were the biggest disappointment-much too dry.
The Filet was a little pithy-almost like some tenderizer had been added.
We were quite dismayed.
Every meal we have at Roy's is a delight from the moment we are seated until our meal ends. iIt is our favorite Maui restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
All good. Food, service, and ambience as expected . Well done.
My wife and I eat in restaurants on Maui about 100 times per year. We try out the vast majority of restaurants on Maui, including all fine-dining restaurants. Roy's is our favorite restaurant because of the wonderful food and excellent service.
Roys is a staple of our Maui visit. Download the Maui dining app for great lunch BOGO. Remember keep it classy and tip your server on the amount before discount!! Yummy ribs. Aloha
Wonderful service and the food was outstanding
We always enjoy our evenings there
Also our breakfast was amaze the other day
Love the food. Always the best service and quality
The food was as wonderful as always, but the noise in the "quiet corner" was so loud my husband and I could hardly talk to each other even though we were sitting next to each other. It was all coming from two couples near us.
I love coming here. Service is spectacular. Barry is the best
We ate at Roy's in Kaanapali and loved it. 5 stars all around. I found the ambiance at Roy's in Waikiki chaotic. The restaurant was over crowded, tables way too close to each other. There were lots of waiters running around but the food was very slow coming out. So I would say the food was very good but the ambiance was lacking
Food was just ok and service was adequate. There’s a lot better food in Lahaina and Kanaapali.
Birthday Luncheon with youngest daughter. Naomi the manager was very attentive to us.
We are on a Anniversary vacation
Great food and wonderful service!! Can’t wait to eat my jeftovers!!
We were not real hungry but needed something of quality.
We were able to enjoy cocktails and share a plate. Our waiter was amazing
We spend the month of Jan here and will dine at least 2 times a month at Roy’s
I’m gluten and dairy intolerant along with other food allergies but the waiter helped us choose options
I can only eat chicken and fish also
So on my limited diet it’s a nice place for me
This used to be our favorite restaurant on Kaanapali , if we were there for two weeks, we ate an average of three times there
We Went there yesterday and as usual I ordered the appetizer size ahi with beurre blanc and the appetizer size butterfish.
The ahi was outstanding, my husband had the diner size and it was a fabulous, unfortunately when I got the butterfish, it was definitely past his time, I had my husband taste too, to make sure , it was not fresh and I had to send it back, to their credit , not a peep from the waiter, he asked if I wanted something else, I did not know and they brought me the full size mahi-mahi which was delicious and they apologized.
Unfortunately, in the last few years, we have had similar experiences , I can remember two times when we had to send the fish back, you could tell when the dish came and the smell that lingered that it was bad, another time , the manager , gave us a hard time about using the card from Marriott for a free dessert, really, a party of 11, so you can image our bill and you are nickel and diming us. Same manager yesterday, he stopped at some tables but not ours. I think Mr Roy’s would be appalled and I really cannot figure out how the chef can send those dish out.
Again, next time we are here, we will go back, the ahi is just fabulous but not as frequently as we used too
We have eaten such wonderful meals at many different Roy’s. Last night was such a disappointment, as was breakfast this morning.
Last night, my entree, butterfish was a bit charred on the outside.
Our crab cake Benedict this morning, left my husband & my stomach queezy.
Don’t waste your time or money.
It was a nice place with excellent food. Price was a bit high for every day but once in awhile it works
A lot of tourists so I’m sure they will do fine
We ate there 2 nights in a row.
Service and food great!!
Hostess at the front desk; worst ever; almost made me not return the 2nd night.
Menu needs some new items.
I thought my food was excellent, my dinner companion thought it was just alright. Either way, we both agreed the cocktails were great.
We ordered swordfish & MahiMahi, best preparation we have had. Excellent!
Good food, good service, high prices - good for an occasion
Nicest high-end restaurant in Kaanapali. The food and presentation was amazing. Best "Surf and Turf" I've had. Served on exotic wood dining tables and handmade ceramic plates.
New Years Eve party
While pricey, it is worth it The food is unique and fabulous.
Service was great. The food was mediocre. Quite disappointed. Won’t go back again.
Food good. Environment MUCH TOO LOUD for expensive special occasion place
Roy's never disappoints. The consistency over the years is amazing. It's always a wonderful place to be for a special occasion. Or a quick bite after golf or a wonderful dinner with family.
