Roy's Beach House at Turtle Bay
The concept and design for the new 140-seat open –air restaurant are a reflection of Roy’s love for white sandy beaches and the ocean. Roy has fond memories of potluck gatherings on the beach with a variety of his family’s favorite dishes- a memory he hopes to create for you at the Beach House.
So please come and indulge in one of our spectacular hand crafted cocktails or choose from a selection of ice cold local beers while you discover the fresh ingredients and outstanding seafood, expertly prepared by our local chefs that have made Roy’s famous.
Oysters were served room temp not cold. Main dish was butter fish which was weighted down with a sticky sweet barbecue sauce. Overall way overpriced for the food.
Truly one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. We had a group of 4 and we ordered 2 different appetizers, 4 different meals, and 2 different desserts. Every single item was INCREDIBLE. We sat outside beach front at sunset at a very comfortable table, next to a singer / guitar player who played soft Hawaiian music. One of the best moments of our vacation was this dinner and we will 1000% be back. (We literally went back again the next night haha)
Beautiful, casual setting with upscale food. The staff was attentive and friendly. Price reflective of quality. The food was prepared to enhance, not hide the flavors of the quality ingredients.
Excellent food. Excellent drinks. Excellent service. Beautiful views.
Excellent food and cocktails A pleasant surprise for a resort restaurant! Returned to the bar the next day to try some of the appetizers that looked interesting the night before again, all really good will return
We had reservations for 3 weeks and put in a back area with no view. We then found hair in the desert. It was over priced for the value, only nice thing was our server Walt. He was very friendly and informative.
Shawn Garnett’s music is what we go for. The food being excellent is just a bonus.
Great butterfish. Casual beachside dining.
We live on the windward side and have always visited Royʻs for our very special occasions. I like the Prix Fixe meals because it offers my favorites (short ribs and souflee). There was high winds and waves this weekend but the experience was not dampened. The entire staff worked flawlessly to provide excellent service throughout the evening and the food was no less that wonderful! The Beach House is a little more informal but you always know what to expect from Royʻs.
We were on our honeymoon and wanted to have a special dinner at Roy’s where we had dined two years ago. We could get a table on the beach(terrace) due to the season and weather this time but they prepared a table by the window. Their meals were tasty and the service was friendly and cheerful. They surprised us with a special cake to celebrate our honeymoon. So sweet! We love to go back again next time we are in Oahu.
Went for our 25th wedding anniversary. Food was awesome and service was excellent. The price matches the quality and service!
Let me start by saying I’ve been to multiple locations of Roys throughout Hawai’i and the mainland US and generally had an excellent dining experience
Was Very disappointed with this branch of Roy’s
Lovely location at the Turtle Bay resort but extremely slow service and inexperienced waitstaff
Food took 45 minutes to arrive
My ahi bowl was inedible
Servers were not particularly helpful
Overpriced mediocre food with slow service is not worth your time and money despite the lovely beachside location
People at reception were dull in helpful and didn’t look like they wanted to be there. Rolling their eyes at customers requests and unfriendly. It was a real let down.
Nice vibe. Decent food. Hotel prices.
We went there for our 10th anniversary. Making the reservation online was easy. Traffic to the North Shore was heavy so we called and reset the reservation --- no problem. The service, the food, the value were all excellent. Thank you for a great lunch.
Consistently delicious food and good service in a beautiful setting. Always a stop when we visit Hawaii.
Best food in town with local flavor but kind of casual on the beach.
Pineapple upside down cake dessert is to die for!!
Always a great experience at Roy's both on the mainland and now for us, here on Oahu.
Great! Food good, tables spaced apart so not disturbed by others. Service great.
I have eaten at Roy’s both on the mainland and Roy’s Beach House in Hawaii before, and was usually satisfied. This experience was a complete let down. We were staying at Turtle Bay resort, and booked more than a week in advance. Still was only able to get a 9:15 seating even though we requested earlier, including after we checked in, and restaurant had open tables. When we came to be seated, we were seated outside at a table where it was incredibly windy. We’re finally reseated after we requested to be moved. Ordered the New Year’s Eve 4 course dinners. Lobster bisque was odd as it had only 2 bite size pieces of lobster, rather than shredded as I am used to. Crab salad was a strange combination of flavors. Snapper fish special started off crisp, but quickly became mushy as it cooled. They were out of all dressers except for one, which was a green tea mocha like dessert which tasted odd. After request for an alternative, we were brought a very dry chocolate cake with ice cream. There was a hair in the ice cream. For $250, I would have expected much better, and staff seemed very inexperienced.
Rib eye steak was tough
Celebrated our 38th Anniversary in New Years Eve . Ordered the 3 course meal. Every dish was on point! Perfect place to celebrate!
Our lunch was especially delicious. We had the harvest salad and fish dishes and both were outstanding- tasty, fresh, and expertly prepared. We have come for other special occasions and our food was some of the best we have had. Our servers, Travis and Kyle, were friendly, attentive, and on top of it. The view is of course incredible too.
Our only “meh” is the beer and wines by glass choices. We love that they have mostly local beer, but on a list of 9 beers, almost all were light beer or hazy IPA. The wine by bottle list is nice but by the glass choices would benefit from more interesting value choices.
But that is a small improvement suggestion. Overall we had an amazing holiday lunch with terrific food, views and great staff. Kudos!
Great beachside location.
The staff and Management is always outstanding!! This restaurant is our favorite on the island. Brandon the manager make the experience for all guest very special because of his professionalism commitment to excellence...
Travis B was an excellent server. Singer was most enjoyable. Great evening.
We had the prix fix. Sampler appetizer was mediocre except for sashimi which was delicious. Macadamia crust mahi-mahi was good, chocolate soufflé was more like a lava cake but good. My son had Brussels sprouts which were excellent and the scallops then the bread pudding (mediocre) Bill for 3 was $400. At a resort, lots of kids, not worth it!
Love it here! Amazing staff, amazing food. Wish I could eat here everyday
Staff tried to rush us through dinner. Ordered drinks and dinner was served first and was dinner was cold. The server was nice and friendly but it was not a relaxing Christmas Eve dinner.
Great service combined with yummy food makes this a fantastic choice, especially if staying on the north side of Oahu. Don’t be afraid to try several different appetizers....they are great!!
Location is spectacular. Food is consistent if not tried and true at this point. Cocktails could be better. Service was wonderful!
Anniversary and Family Vacation
Came here for lunch. Delicious fried Brussels sprout appetizer but downhill from there....have been here at least 15 times but this maybe the last...Patio was closed despite perfect weather conditions so we were relegated to a view of the kitchen and pathway. Calamari tasted like cardboard, crab cakes were fishy. Foodland has better spring rolls and poke (which looked like it went through a meat grinder with hard, cold rice). Main course fish had a sweet sauce. Stomach ache for the rest of the day/evening. Saw all the dishes passing by and they looked terrible. Disappointing. The pork nachos when it was Ola’s a decade ago used to be so delicious....
Roy’s never disappoints. It was our best meal on Oahu.
Amazing views along with great food.
Everything was great! Enjoyed going there! Will definitely go again!
Ahi tuna app and curry Brussels were delicious. Seafood uni pasta needed salt or more uni. Manager was outstanding.
