Roy's Beach House at Turtle Bay
The concept and design for the new 140-seat open –air restaurant are a reflection of Roy’s love for white sandy beaches and the ocean. Roy has fond memories of potluck gatherings on the beach with a variety of his family’s favorite dishes- a memory he hopes to create for you at the Beach House.
So please come and indulge in one of our spectacular hand crafted cocktails or choose from a selection of ice cold local beers while you discover the fresh ingredients and outstanding seafood, expertly prepared by our local chefs that have made Roy’s famous.
Travis K was exceptional for the music. Menu is limited but butterfish was great. Wait staff needed reminders of our wine pairings. It was a hot humid evening and that may have slowed everyone down.
Date night celebrating our honeymoon.
Roy’s mosoyaki butterfish is always excellent. The lava cake is delicious. The pineapple upside cake with caramel sauce was new and awesome. Highly recommend the seared ahi and ono crudo appetizers, too. Wait staff was superb.
Wonderful service, Food! Brussel sprouts are incredible‼️
Shawn the manager is the epitome of hospitality‼️
Food was excellent along with the service but the highlight was the entertainment. Shawn Garnett was excellent.
Beautiful view of the beach, staff were professional, food was delicious!
Kevin was the best waiter ever ! Mahalo !!!
Dave was super too
Atmosphere and service were excellent but the food was just OK. We were at a Roy's in Kawai over 20 years ago and loved it but we have been to a few since then and been underwhelmed. Frankly, the food at Lei Lei restaurant at the golf course at Turtle Bay was a better fish entree for less money. Maybe go to Roy's just for lunch on the beach.
Roy’s beach house was outstanding. Great view and their reservation system made it very easy for me to plan our trip up to turtle beach. No fee to park at the resort. Brought my family over to celebrate my birthday. Food was amazing the service was pleasant. Overall a great experience. A little pricey so go for a special occasion.
nice view great service
The food was excellent, our waiter was very nice and helpful. The view of course is wonderful especially at sunset.
Outstanding service and delicious food! Ambience is fabulous. Very open air environment even if you aren’t sitting outside. Tables available overlooking the beach. I wish I would have reserved one. Would definitely go back. They had a happy birthday sign at the table and every server that walked by wished a happy birthday.
Our favorite place for great food and service. We love to come here for all our special events
Celebrated our 32nd Anniversary in Turtle Bay. Everything was perfect. Perfect table. Food and service was outstanding
The location is really romantic, service perfect, food good. Just too expensive.
This is one of my favorite restaurants. The ambiance is so perfect: open air, right on the beach at Turtle Bay Resort. The food, service and attention to detail are wonderful. Sometimes, we like to just go to the bar for appetizers and drinks. Other times, it’s dinner for a special occasion. Prices are resort level, but it is worth it. (Heads up: Roy’s gift cards don’t work here for some reason.)
The food is tasty, but ridiculously overpriced for such small portions.
It has no air conditioning, but the fans are ok if you come after the sunset.
The service is great, they checked up on us probably more than 10 times to make sure we've got everything.
The staff was very friendly. I asked to be seated where we could see the sunset and our requests were met. Our waiter was very nice and knew a lot of fun facts about the fish that was being served. Great experience all around.
We were also surprised that the portion sizes were as big as they were. I got scallops and they were gigantic and my boyfriend got the snapper, which was also a nice sized portion. I wish we hadn’t gotten as many apps because we were too full to try the desserts.
The music and location were both breathtaking!
The ambiance was nice and relaxing and our server was very professional and knowledgeable. The cocktails were good and the food was ok, I just wish they didn’t put so much sauce on everything. The fish was already so fresh and tasty, but all I could taste was the sauce. This restaurant is also on the pricier side, even for Hawaiian standards.
Lovely food in a beautiful setting. Great way to spend a last night (or any night!) in Hawai`i.
One of the best overall dinner experiences we have ever had!! If your coming to the North Shore you have to come to Roy's.
Fantastic food, service, and atmosphere. What a view too over the ocean as the sun sets. Pricey, but you get what you pay for.
The food really wasn’t that good and was expensive.
Nice food, 3-4 options for vegetarian as well. Good location, ambiance.
Great food. Lovely ambiance. Service outstanding.
Excellent food quality and taste. Our favorite place to go splurge a bit on special occasions
Entrees are very over priced. Caesar salad had enough garlic to keep all vampires away. Caprese salad was to be served with purées tomatoes - fresh needed to be specifically requested. Waiter was pleasant but kept talking about Roy like he was some kind of god. Really overselling the experience. Overall underwhelming.
Excellent all around. Roy’s called before my reservation to confirm that if I was celebrating any special occasion. They also honored my request that I wrote on my reservation to sit near the water. Our table was the closet we could get and I really appreciated their thoughtfulness.
Our waitress was excellent, our waters were always full, dishes always cleared. Food was pricey but delicious. Views were amazing. The hotel unfortunately blocks the sunset view but we still loved dining by the beach.
Best service bar none. Totally recommend for honeymooners and couples celebrating anniversary
They went above and beyond. Felt so taken care of including our 3 year old!
As always no matter which Roy's you go to, food is awesome. Great service overrall.
We eat here quite a bit, but this night was a miss. Server forgot my child’s meal, rushed us out because we split an entree, and Mahi dinner tasted like it was prepared hours earlier. Ambiance can’t be beat, so we will be back again.
Great food and beautiful views!
We had a special evening with our whole family at Roy's Beach House at Turtle Bay! Perfectly chef prepared dinners and excellent service! Great atmosphere with open air seating and music!
I usually visit Roy's at least once every year when I visit the North Shore and, normally, it is a pleasant experience with excellent food and ambiance and decent service. I was excited to share this experience with my family. Sadly, it was memorable for all the wrong reasons.
First, our table was as far from the beach as possible so the beach ambiance was non-existent.
Second, our waiter seemed overwhelmed and had a difficult time remembering and delivering items that were ordered.
Third, the drinks seemed watered down. Possibly this was in part because it was warm and the ice melted quickly. But that would not fully explain it since they seemed that way as soon as they arrived.
Fourth, the food was mediocre at best.
Overall, this was a disappointing "final dinner" for our trip. I am hopeful this was an outlier and not an indication that the restaurant has degraded this far. That hope is the only reason I stand by my "recommend".
Celebrating our anniversary. In my opinion, five-star is not a high enough rating for Roy’s. We had a wonderful table with a view, the food was outstanding, the weather absolutely picture-perfect, and the service was excellent. We had made reservations elsewhere the following night, but canceled and returned to Roy’s. My scallops were the best and my Hubby’s lamb was the best he had ever eaten. The chocolate soufflé and the pineapple upside cake were over the top! We had never been to the Turtle Bay Resort, and we did not want to leave, but we WILL be back and we WILL eat at Roy’s.
My family thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Roy’s. Service was excellent and the food was delicious. My only complaint was my rack of lamb was cooked perfectly, but the chine bone was not completely removed so it was impossible to eat with my knife and fork. I hope that was just an error by the prep cook. The entertainment was excellent! Our server, Avery, was wonderful.
Delicious food and drink in a tropical setting on turtle bay beach. The food was fresh and tasteful. Only shortcoming was the heat. When it’s 90” fans just aren’t enough. Some of the food was pricey for the portion but overall a wonderful meal.
The food was not worth the price. None of the dishes we had stood out. Portions was small, pricy and not memorable. Our seats were damp from the rain. The two glasses of champagne cost $30, which is outrageous.
