Terrible experience for a great day! We have eaten at T. Cooks many times before and always walked away feeling we were dealing with a first class organization! Great value it terms of food, service and ambiance. This is why selected this restaurant for our special day. The ham was so dry you can not eat it even with gravy. Beef was average at best and the turkey had no taste! Staff was undermanned except for parking which was fine. The cost was $480.00 with tip for my wife and myself and 2 hours after I got home I toasted a bagel for my Thanksgiving dinner. I felt like I was robbed by a common criminal. Never again…… no ethics from this management team!

This Thanksgiving buffet was a disappointment in all categories. The atmosphere was not festive. The food display was not inviting. For instance: --The dessert station offered mini desserts that had been sitting out much too long -and were dry and unappealing. --Another station offered salads saturated with dressing leaving the guest no choice for a fresh salad that was not limp with dressing. --Many stations were not refreshed frequently enough and begged the question--"is this food a breeding ground for germs".

Absolutely awful. They confirmed our reservation next to the valet area then sent is to the area by the lobby. When we asked about where dinner was, they sent us to T Cooks where we checked in again and they finally sent us to the dinner check in area off the pool. There were about 15 people waiting to be seating all complaining about the wait and the total lack of organization. We waited 20 minutes after our reservation time and we were finally seated. About mid meal we ran into some friends who said their wait was nearly an hour.Service at the table was nonexistent but the woman who appeared with water and to take a drink order was pleasant enough. Food was marginal at best. Turkey was not served off the bone but instead was being sliced from a turkey breast which looked as if it could have been purchased at Safeway. All in all a miserable experience.

Very disappointed with the whole Thanksgiving experience here. Was finally seated an hour and half after our reservation time, the food was cold and the service was slow. Way too overpriced for the food itself and temperature of the food. Will not recommend or be back.

$390.00 for 2 people for their Mother’s Day brunch. Food was vastly overpriced and not very good quality. I have had better brunches at mediocre hotels without a special occasion going on. Never again.

This is a review specifically for the Mothers Day Brunch at the Royal Palms not T Cooks, not the resort as a whole as I really enjoy both. The challenge I have on this one is I love the overall resort and think they did a good job, but they cut some important corners for an experience costing $150 / adult and $60 / kid. First off they tried to cram so many tables into the experience to maximize revenue that many of the table locations were less than optimal crammed into corners that weren't cute, but were just a space they thought they could cram something. Because they tried to cram a table everywhere they could they didn't have enough umbrellas leaving many guests in direct sun including some of ours. The price for kids / minors is a little much for anyone under $12, they can't eat enough to even get close. Then only providing one glass of mediocre champagne as a welcome drink. At classy event like this I understand not having bottomless as that would dumb down the event, but pour something classy, get a Schramsberg, a Veuve, or some other mid grade drink. They did serve excellent food. The salads were excellent, the oyster bar was nice, the presentation was very good overall. The staff were all incredibly friendly, but service was still slow as there were just too many tables and not enough staff, valets, etc. to handle the number of guests. I highly recommend the Royal Palms, but I won't be doing the Mother's Day Brunch again. While it was nice with great food, it felt commercialized and did not create the experience consistent with the exclusive property it was at. Pricing was a little high only because of the corners they cut.

Easter buffet brunch at The Royal Palms is a special treat. The setting is lovely and they spread guests around in different rooms and outside so it never feels crowded or noisy. There are Easter activities outside for the children and they have their own table of food options. The buffet offers high quality fare with a nice variety. They have made to order omelettes and a carving station. The price is a little high but includes one mimosa and there are plenty of things to choose from. I had reserved outdoor seating for our party of three but they seated us inside. We never said anything about it since we liked the location and there were doors nearby that were open to the outside. All in all it was a great way to celebrate Easter.

Loved T Cooks for Thanksgiving and a regular meal but the buffet was a bit of a disaster - they charged 150 per person (food only) plus 20% gratuity so we had fairly high expectations. Despite the menu that was advertised they in fact did NOT even have Turkey for a Christmas Buffet and the food was at best mediocre overall with fatty meat and limited dessert options. They don't do mass meals well there apparently and with a $450 price tag for a lunch buffet we expected much more.

We had a great time at Christmas Brunch. It was a lovely way to share the morning with friends, in such a beautiful hotel. Our server Marcelino was awesome and Allison Shipp took great care of us when we arrived. She went the extra mile to bring us champagne to celebrate. Thanks for wonderful experience.

First class all the way - from the no-charge valet parking to the reception, waiter and of course the food left nothing to be desired. Ive been to many resorts around Phoenix for Thanksgiving buffets including The Westin at Kierland, Lons Hermosa, Four Seasons/Scottsdale and many others. The Royal Palms is my favorite so far. This was my second time there and if memory serves, a few years ago when it was just myself and my wife, it was a fixed menu without a buffet, and we sat at a table placed in what was normally a hallway so it felt like we were just being crammed in which - added up to a 3-4 star experience. This time with the buffet, and being seated in a more open area with plenty of room between the few tables, the overall experience was much better. Out the door price, with the automatically included %20 gratuity was $723 for my family of five, and Im not sure if my 6 yo son was charged less than the adults.

Thanksgiving Brunch Buffet. Beautiful surroundings and wonderful service but the food was horrible. Turkey was very dry and Prime rib was medium well in the middle, Way over cooked. Bugs flying around oysters and shrimp. $99 a person isn’t the most expensive buffet but it’s cheap either.

After attending an Easter Brunch a few years ago, which was amazing, this was a total disappointment. Our table was pushed to a remote overflow room. Opening doors, walking past a private party with loud music was inconvenient. The food was fair, but not worth $100/person. Luckily, we noted the 20% service charge for a buffet on the check and did not make the mistake of adding additional monies. We will certainly not go there again.

We had a flimsy card table that was too small for four adults. Both my son and my husband hit the table leg by accident causing all the drinks to spill as the table wobbled precariously. I made this reservation a month in advance and we should have had a better seating arrangement. Our waiter was very inattentive and we had to constantly flag him down for service. The only thing he did quickly was pick up the check after my husband had barely put his debit card in it. It seems that the experience should have been better and the tip shouldn’t be included automatically for a buffet and small party. Just not the same level of Royal Palm service as in the past.

Came for Easter buffet. Food was good for me but my daughter didn’t like anything on the buffet so she asked if they had cereal. The server brought over two small boxes of cereal but no bowls or milk! Then we never saw her again. Since I prepaid, we just left. I tried to get her attention for the check but she ignored me and catered the larger parties. I was fed up waiting 20 min for her to come to the table so we left. Pretty resort but won’t be back.
