   I booked for 7 people which was confirmed via opentable. On arrival I was told that they has no table and they have not worked with opentable for three years. Which is strange as I see there are reviews from last year. I felt they were not very helpful. This was a special family occasion so very disappointed. Opentable have apparently suspended the Ettrick meantime

   I booked a table for 20 of us before attending a football game at local stadium. The meal was pre-ordered and all arrived perfectly on time after we arrived. Everyone was very happy with the food and venue. The staff were very tentative to us and we would all certainly return again.

   Food at Royal Ettrick was lovely, really enjoyed my evening there catching up with my friend, the only downer was that it was little cold in the conservatory, but it didn't spoil our evening and we enjoyed the meal and the relax atmosphere.

   Had lunch at the Royal Ettrick Hotel, Edinburgh in the conservatory restaurant. A good place for a quiet catch up with a friend with easy parking and a reasonable menu. Very acceptable food and pleasant service.
