The lobster appetizer was one of best I’ve ever had! Tail meat delicious and the salad made from arm&claw meat was scrumptious.
Royal Boucherie was able to seat us after a crazy day after being unsure who was going to show up with our constantly changing dinner reservation. Thank you! The cheese and charcuterie boards were lovely, as were our apps (mussels, escargot, onion soup- we were soooo bougiee and frenchhhh that night). Pasta and steak/frites were lovely (portions could be bigger... just saying... but probably more appropriate, especially after gaining my covid 19) ) and the cocktails rocked which added my own buzz to the place's, as the restaurant buzzed with the music, the chatter, and the joy of being out in a cozy, dark bistro on a winter night in Philadelphia. I will go back anytime.
Our food was delicious (the burger and the fettucine, along with creme caramel for dessert). The portions were good (without being too much). The ambiance was great, it had great mood lighting. The cocktails (we had the Parisian Spice and the Castles Made of Sand) were delicious. Our server was nice and also attentive. We had a great night out!
One of the best meals my husband and I have enjoyed in quite a few years! Definitely will be back and recommending to friends!!

This is a true neighborhood gem. Warm and cozy, lovely food, and the service is always outstanding. One of the best raw bars in the city, and their Negroni menu is stellar.

I like this restaurant, have eaten there before and will again, this is constructive criticism about poor service. We were seated and our server said he would bring water, takes awhile, comes back drops water bottle and takes off, doesn't ask about drink from bar. We were seated 10-15 minutes before he asks for a drink order. We order an expensive bottle of champagne, he returns 15 minutes later, no champagne glasses, warm champagne, wine was corked (not his fault). Overfills wine glasses with warm champagne and takes off. We are 30 minutes in, no drink yet. We order steak and some sides. Sides come out, 15 minutes later steak comes out. The whole meal was bummer, all service related. I had to wave the server down to get him to come to the table. The food was good and well prepared and maybe the server was new. If you are going to sell $200-300 bottles of wine, your servers should be we schooled in wine service. Seat your guests get them a drink and bring the food in an orderly manner. The manager came and tried to make things right, I appreciate that. They comped my sides and offered a comp dessert which was not necessary. I like the place and just want it to be better.
Food was not great. We had a few small plates that were ok, but our mains were pretty bad. I had the spaghetti with shellfish, mussels were cold as if they weren’t cooked to order; the dish wasn’t great. My wife had the steak frites- something any place should be able to do serviceably - but the steak came out cold. Not rested before being cut, like cold as if it came out of the fridge. We mentioned this and they just microwaved the steak to warm it up. Didn’t eat it after that, They took that dish off the bill on their own, our waiter was great, seemed like he was used to dealing with issues like this.
Every dish was fantastic and enjoyed the ambience greatly.
I went on NYE based on recommendations from a friend and had a terrible experience.
Went for New Years and was really nice. The charcuterie plate was excellent and there was a nice variety. They sold out of some items but gave us some free drinks to make up for it. Service was really strong and the place is attractive. This will be a great late night spot.
New Year’s Eve
Our New Years Eve dinner was great, from the delicious food to the attentive server. We most enjoyed the cheese board and the steak frites! Thanks for a great meal

The outdoor seating set up was fabulous! I was so excited, I have eaten there Many times! What happened to the food, tho? Didn't compare to previous times. talks to friends after, They said same thing! SO disappointed.
Excellent meat and cheese boards! We ordered the boards and a few small plates, which was plenty of food for 2.
We ate dinner late night, food and service was great however they served us old, lukewarm coffee.

The restaurant is beautiful and the service was excellent. Unfortunately, we did not love the food. The only bread was a tea bread, which was very nicely flavored, but was not an actual bread, and which was $8.00 for four slices. I totally disliked my trout which was smothered with leeks and a tasteless oyster sauce. My appetizer was a raw fish special (yellowtail, I think), which I usually love, but this was smothered in a heavy oil with minimal citrus. It was certainly different from the usual ceviche, but different does not mean good, at least to my taste. Sides such as fingerling potatoes, are typically $12, which I think is rather high. My friend was not excited about his spaghetti with seafood. All he could say about it was, "It's different."
The rooftop patio was a lovely setting. Toasty warm. And we liked that proof of vaccinations is required. Food was delicious. The escargots, tuna crudo and seafood pasta especially yummy. Great service. Next time tho, I’ll go with a dining companion who eats meat so I can have the charcuterie platter!
Everything from the atmosphere to the food and drink selection was superb! We live in the neighborhood and will definitely be back sometime.
Very disappointing food
4 pm dinner after an early movie meant for a perfectly quiet room and very attentive service.
I ordered 3 types of oysters, which were deposited on the table with no indication of which was which; I was almost finished the oysters before the wine arrived (after solicitation), while the scallops arrived before I had finished the oysters and were also deposited on the table with everything else. The restaurant was almost empty, so being busy was not an issue.
Upon leaving, I asked that someone call a taxi, as my phone is Italian and cannot receive an sms in USA. I was told that last week, the taxi service didn’t respond after a certain hour (it was 9pm), and couldn’t I call Uber or Lyft? I preferred to walk the 20 blocks back to the hotel.
My wife had mussels and I had escargot and scallops. Everything was delicious. And we were served bread with our order without paying extra. We began our meal with drinks--a serviceable Chardonnay for Fran. I had an Orchard Equinox (hard cider, honey syrup and lime).
I attempted to go to the rest room. The rest room is on the second floor and extremely steep. The waiter hustled over to me and led me to an alternatuve rest roomon the first so I could avoid the steps. It's the kind of thoughtful service I need these days and I received it from my waiter.
We shared chocolate cherry ice cream to finish the meal. My wife had an excllent decaf coffee.

Great brunch option. Menu is diverse with some really fun offerings. We will be back. The sweet bologna sandwich is outstandingly creative and delicious, as were all of the meals our group had.
We did feel a bit rushed by the server, although he was very attentive and nice. Knowing the price point of the restaurant, I would caution that when a patron states, they haven’t decided yet, then give them space. It is a small quibble though, he was very good.
I felt a bit crowded where we were seated, especially knowing that there were empty tables and booths in the back and center areas which were never used.
Getting those things out of the way, the food was delicious! The pork chop special was one of the best pork chops I’ve ever had. A nice selection for the charcuterie board. The escargot was delicious and good oysters. The drinks were made very well too. Steak frites cooked to perfection. The linguine with mushroom ragu was the minor disappointment. I felt it needed a bit more salt, and it was a tad greasy. That being said, it had substantial flavor and I ate every bite.
At the end of dinner, we were all very pleased! Thank you for a great night!
