Phenomenal, as always. so happy they are open again! the roof patio was magical on a rainy Friday night. food from the new menu was exceptional. top tier cocktails, but that goes without saying. best spot in old city!

They changed the sacred burger. The beef is better in the new burger, but bring back the truffle Mayo & pickle PLEASE!

Very nice place with friendly staff and a nice ambiance. Perfect for a date night or night out. Drinks and food were good with quick service.

Great time. Food was incredible especially the oysters. Service was sub par which was surprising since the place was empty. Our waitress was not attentive and it was reflected in her tip. Will go back and hope we get a better waiter/waitress.

The menu is so small and what we got wasn’t even good. It was brunch and it was half dinner food. Lastly our waitress was really rude. Do better !

Incredible burger!

Everything was solidly OK. The food tasted fine, but nothing really blew us away. Escargot was disappointing: too herby and not garlicky enough. Steak frites were good but not great. Chicken was, again, fine but nothing special. We ate outside, so it was a bit noisier and chillier than indoors, but that was our choice. Service was spot on. I don’t mean to sound disgruntled—we enjoyed our meals, I was just hoping for some WOW and didn’t quite experience it.

As always, everything was perfect at Royal Boucherie! Our table on the upstairs patio was lovely, our server was both kind and knowledgeable. And the food and drink was stellar, from the thoughtful cheese plate to the precisely cooked steak to the clever cocktails.

We had dinner outside out-front on the street. The street was closed off and there were patio heaters and twinkling lights and an Irish band was playing by another restaurant near by. We felt like we were in Europe! The ambiance was terrific and we felt very (covid) safe. Bistro tables were socially distanced and the hostess was very accommodating and followed all covid protocols. Our dinner and drinks were delicious! We had a chefs special appetizer that was out of this world. Service was perfect! When I went inside to use the bathroom I glimpsed at the upstairs patio and it was beautiful too! We will be back!

The very best brunch in town. Went for the Eggs Benedict, but it wasn't on menu. Had something called the Breakfast Muffin that we supurb and filling.

Our experience was fine. Everything we had was good but not memorable. We were not disappointed but will not make RB one of our go to locations. Expectations go up when a restaurant declares itself french. I would classify as casual american with a french flair.

Wasn’t too happy about my experience here. I guess the food was French inspired? Steak frites was ok, fries were overloaded with salt, my wife got some meat sandwich that she took two bites of and then couldn’t eat anymore. Her fries were over salted as well. Way overpriced for my experience. My wife were looking for a French experience, we’ve been to Paris and Royal Boucherie was nothing like it.

Loved roof top. Was somewhat disappointed the the brunch menu was more limited than what I saw posted on line.

Had a fabulous time. We were seated on the upper patio and felt very safe with respect to COIVD during the entire time we were there. The food was excellent as always. Dining at the Royal Boucherie is becoming a family tradition for our visits to Philadelphia.

Royal Boucherie is one of my favorite spots in Old City. We had a fabulous meal and wonderful outdoor dinner. A special thanks to the RB staff for accommodating my request for rooftop seating. It was very much appreciated. And the rooftop is gorgeous. The food, as always, was spectacular. We started with the raw oysters - always exceptional - and I had the spaghetti with crab and my dining partner had scallops. Everything was delicious and the cocktails and wine we enjoyed with the meal were just perfect.

Sat outside. Excellent service. Ate chicken liver pate, a green salad, crispy chicken wing confit and a hamburger. Great ambiance and food. Will be back. We could never get reservations before the pandemic so we’re thrilled to have had a table at this chic authentic French restaurant.

Food was disappointing compared to previous experiences at Royal.

Waiter brought drinks, starters, and entrees all at the same time. Additionally, the crab spaghetti and trout was lackluster. Expected a much better experience considering the positive reviews and price point.

The food was delicious, especially the charcuterie and cheese tray. It is enough food for aa meal. We also split the hamburger since so many people raved in prior reviews. It was delicious but too much food after the tray. The only downfall of the experience was that the bootle of wine we ordered was not opened in front of us, nor poured, which is not proper wine service.

Will NEVER go again. The front desk young lady was rude and unaccomodating. Our reservation was at 4pm. and she would not sit us upstairs in the patioZ wanted to put us in the street. It was 4pm. I’m sure there were tables upstairs.

Lovely staff and great food! Cozy and warm atmosphere. Unique options with great flavors, and everything was cooked and crisped perfectly. Amazing wings!

The upstairs patio is very nice for brunch, and the food was excellent.

Great outdoor atmosphere

The rooftop was a lovely setting for an amazing meal; with exposed brick and lots of shrubbery and sky overhead. Our server was attentive, warm and very professional. I don’t usually eat pasta but as it was house made with lump crab meat I had to give it a try. It was exquisite! I highly recommend Royal Boucherie if you want to enjoy a top notch meal and a magical setting.

WE had heard a lot about La Bouchier and Nicholas Elmi being the owner. WOW what a disappointment for us. We thought we were going for great French cuisine and the meals were not that but simply average.

IF YOU want great FRENCH go to PARC!

Our server was spot on! We couldn't ask for more. The food is always great here but during these trying times our meal was as good as ever.

The escargot and prawn appetizers were out of this world. The perfect start to a most wonderful meal. I had a great, juicy steak frites and my date loved the crab spaghetti that reminded us of a great meal we enjoyed recently in Maine.

Our total experience was perfectly capped by the dessert we took home. fresh peach over pound cake and the chocolate mousse with blackberry topping.

Nice experience, great server, food was good just not great.
