This restaurant used to have the best burger in the city but it left with Chef. The new burger is below average.
The food here is outstanding and the upstairs patio is such a beautiful backdrop. Perfect for a date night or special occasion dinner, but also great for brunch or a casual night out! Love it here!
Food was amazing. Service was fine. Most expensive burger I’ve paid for in a while but quite tasty.
Largest and most mussels ever. Lots of bread. Good cheese.Good beer.
Delicious meat board and cocktails! The service was also very good.
Always great food and cocktails!
Service was great! The food was awesome!
Great food, great service. Drinks were on point! Room felt nicely spaced and would love to sit outdoors next time!
Well done as usual. The foie gras terrine with candied kumquat was better than expected and delightful.
I'm still craving those snap peas. Everything was fantastic, charcuterie, veggies, scallop. Our server Nikki was super nice and well informed. We'll be back to this gem of a place.
I was super excited to try Royal Boucherie, as I love French cusine. The interior was the equivalent of a Bistro in Paris, super dark, cute little booths. Our server was nice, didn't seem very happy to be there. The food was fine, honestly not as great as I would have expected, I will likely go to Parc to get my french fix moving forward.
My only regret is that we were not informed that there was an outdoor area upstairs and would have preferred to have been offered that and sat there.
Everything was great.... service, food, location, atmosphere
We had a great little table for two on the second floor garden patio. Tables are spaced out great for the narrow space, and it was breezy with lots of great greenery. Make sure you book the “experience” if you want a table up there. Service was super attentive, and we even got a complimentary shooter during dinner. Food was good as usual. We had the grass fed burger, chicken cassoulet and the choc cake. My burger was cooked exactly how I asked. My hubs said his Jack & Cokes were perfect.
Love Royal! I can go every week.
Everything was perfect! The ambiance and service was great and the food and drink was as usual amazing. The bartender even made us a special coffee cocktail to end the night-delicious!
Fantastic meal out with friends! The prosciutto cotto and scallop with bone marrow were knock-outs. The build your own spritzer selection is great, my friend tried two different versions and now has a new favorite due to wonderful suggestions from our server Jelani (who was super nice and upbeat). Great staff, great meal, already thinking about my next visit.
One of the best restaurants in the city. The food is remarkable and the beverage program is extremely underrated. Some of the best cocktails in town.
So great! Best burger in the city!
Highly recommend the garden patio for a quiet setting.
I’ve been twice and the service, food and ambiance have been excellent both times.
ALWAYS OUTSTANDING !!
5 Stars across the Board, folks !!
I wanted to love this place but the food was disappointing. The appetizers were great, however, the main courses were not. The pasta in particular was terrible, I have frankly never eaten such bad pasta. It wasn't very well put together, all I could taste was the salty water in which the pasta was cooked and some low quality olive oil. It felt as if chef was not in the kitchen. It was a shame because the appetizers made us feel as if we were in for a treat.
Great food and drinks! And our server was excellent as well! Will be back again in the near future.
Steak tartare and cassoulet were the highlights of an enjoyable meal. We sat in an extremely comfortable booth, it was an extremely busy Saturday night but the staff was efficient and composed.
Burger was inedible
Steak was miscooked as well , thankful manager comped entire meal. Waiter was useless.
First time at RB, as I moved to Old City in December and it was not yet open due to the pandemic. As such, I didn’t know what to expect, but wanted to give it a shot. RB far exceeded my expectations. The food was delicious, waitstaff pleasant and engaging, and the ambiance was perfect. I’m looking forward to heading back again soon. This will definitely be added to my list of favorite neighborhood gems.
They just reopened so some of the main dishes were disappointing. The mussels had no salt, fries were cold. The cassoulet was delicious as was the scallop app and Brussels! Great wine list and beautiful ambiance on the 2nd floor patio
Enjoying our Saturday night dinner in bustling Old City!
Seems to still be working out the kinks after reopening. Service was a bit slow an inattentive. Cheese plate was a highlight but charcuterie was lacking. Fries tasted like they had been made hours before. Mussels lacking in flavor and served without bread (what's the point of sauce!?). Overall experience was just OK.
Amazing food and amazing service. Can’t wait to sit outside next time
Excited to have this gem back open. The new chef has some great additions but hoping to see closer representation of our old favorite the escargot. Still the best in the city by far, don’t get me wrong. Also missing the chicken liver mousse and pate. The staff was excellent as usual and the restaurant was perfectly decorated. Welcome back and we will see the staff again soon.
We adore this place. Food, drink, and service is always exceptional. Get the oysters and thank me later.
Amazing setting, great service and really good food!
Phenomenal, as always. so happy they are open again! the roof patio was magical on a rainy Friday night. food from the new menu was exceptional. top tier cocktails, but that goes without saying. best spot in old city!
They changed the sacred burger. The beef is better in the new burger, but bring back the truffle Mayo & pickle PLEASE!
Very nice place with friendly staff and a nice ambiance. Perfect for a date night or night out. Drinks and food were good with quick service.
Great time. Food was incredible especially the oysters. Service was sub par which was surprising since the place was empty. Our waitress was not attentive and it was reflected in her tip. Will go back and hope we get a better waiter/waitress.
The menu is so small and what we got wasn’t even good. It was brunch and it was half dinner food. Lastly our waitress was really rude. Do better !
Food is always amazing ! They also have the best cocktails ! Friendly servers and love the cozy atmosphere
