Our server was very poor. She got 2 meals wrong. She didn’t know they were out of hamburgers & it was a downward spiral from there. Only one meal out of 5 came out & we waited a long time when the second meal came out wrong & was taken back to the kitchen. We still waited for the other 3 meals a long time & when they came out they still brought the same meal that was wrong back to the table. No one was able to explain the issue. The manager did make good on the errors , but it was a horrible experience between the kitchen errors & server.
Birthday Brunch for my husband. Service was surprisingly sub-par, and they brought out a single candle on a plate for our celebration. Super weird.
A most comfortable place to eat and drink, and not just eat but eat some truly delicious food.
The staff was engaged, friendly and quite knowledgable. Would certainly return, and if I lived nearby would certainly make it a go to place to spend time.
Service was incredibly slow. None of the drinks in the fall menu were very good. Food was delicious. Salmon crudo and chicken liver mousse were the best.
Great food and great service
Love this place. Been here a number of times, always excellent.
Great charcuterie and raw bar. Duck/Steak/Scallops all fantastic. Bev list smaller but well done.
Exceptional! Best foie gras I've ever had! And I lived in the South West of France. I love their partnership with Arden theater. The service was top notch. And everyone was so welcoming and caring. One of a kind.
Took friends from the UK here. Food was fine though menu limited with no specials. Scallops and pork cutlet were tasty. Good side dishes and excellent service.
Nice atmosphere. Did not love our food.
Was visiting from Canada. I understood this to be a French Restaurant but it seemed more like an Irish Pub. Thoroughly enjoyed myself--cuisine was good but there was little in the way of selection. Staff was friendly and helpful. Again, the name is misleading. Definitely not a French Restaurant.
Waitress was in a rush to get out and was quite pushy.
we had high expectations being a “top chef” restaurant, but we left without ordering because both tables on either side of us sent entire meals back for being “cold” and “fatty”. very disappointed.
We ordered the special which was described as a shareable entree for 2-3 people consisting of pork loin, steak, and 2 pork chops “surrounded by vegetables”. It was COLD pork loin on a bed of red slaw, sliced steak where 2 of the 5 slices were ALL fat, and lamb (not pork) chops. Sadly 2 of us didn’t eat lamb. They said they would reheat our pork and replace the lamb with duck. The two that didn’t like lamb also didn’t like duck. We were told that we could have the lamb or the pork. Apparently ordering new entrees per person wasn’t an option! Extremely disappointing as we had very high hopes. As we were finishing dinner we were asked if we wanted a second drink (our first drinks were long empty.). We asked for a wine list. It took so long for our server to come back for our wine order that we just got the check and left. Our server was very sweet but couldn’t, and shouldn’t be expected to, make up for problems in the kitchen.
I ordered lobster , not fresh ! The ambience is so so
Amazing food and amazing service. I took my boyfriend here for his birthday and couldn't have been happier! It's so nice to go somewhere where the staff is knowledgable and friendly
This is a wonderful restaurant in a great area of town.
The food could not have been better; the service was great and the ambiance was cozy and lovely.
The service was attentive but relaxed. The server was friendly but not intrusive. The cocktails were excellent. The food was divine. Escargot. Squash soup. Salmon. Duck. No complaints, only praise.
Great service and ambiance!
We had the best time celebrating our anniversary. Service was great - our table was in a corner upstairs near the window, very lovely! And of course the food and drinks didn’t disappoint too. We will definitely be back!
Love it here. Always bustling a great vibe. Scallops entree was fantastic, we also enjoyed the mushroom toast, escargot and shrimp cocktail, all fantastic! The server was very patient with my myriad of questions about the wine. Settled on a nice Bordeaux, perfect for the weather and buttery companions.
Escargot and scallops were amazing!
Food was delicious, place was bustling. Service very nice, happy to return again! We had a great time. Thank you!
Maybe the best meal I had in Philadelphia. The escargot and charcuterie are world class. I thoroughly enjoyed the steak as well. The service was attentive without being overbearing. The meal was surprisingly leisurely given how busy the restaurant was. I’m looking forward to a return visit.
Felt ignored under sold and thirsty.
The food and hospitality where perfect and it was a wonderful evening.
Soup came in cold, we had to send back. Then, pasta came in cold, had to send back again.
I was extremely disappointed with the experience I had here. We waited nearly 10 minutes before even ordering a drink, and then had to wait nearly 20 minutes for our raw oysters. RAW. I understand that places get busy, but for the premium you pay here for pay for such small portions, you'd think they would be able to hire adequate service. Not worth the wait, not worth the price. Our cocktails were also a bit strong. I will say that the food was delicious, but outside of that there were not many other positive aspects of my experience at the Royal Boucherie.
If you are looking for a high quality meal at this price, I would revert to the Rittenhouse Sq. area.
Absolutely fantastic! Service was great - friendly and informative. The hamburger was unbelievable! Everything from drinks, soup, fried olives, charcuterie board, salad and dessert was great. A fantastic experience.
The food was really just mediocre. We didn’t even finish any of it. Disappointed... as we love French food. Our least favorite meal of the vacation. Real bummer
The pork schnitzel was inedible. I couldn’t even cut it with a sharp knife.
Best burger in town. Tuna crudo appetizer terrific.
Took my husband here for his birthday. We had a bunch of apps and shared the pasta. Everything was great!!
Good place to have a few drinks and some paté. Food is decent.
I had brunch on a Sunday. Lighting is very dim. Service was attentive. French toast was too sweet and not a good value. Two friends had quiche and salad which was a better choice. A better place for nighttime dinner and drinks.
Terrible service. Server required us to order our entrees while sitting for drinks and a cheese plate. Since I did not order entrees, we never saw him again until I asked for the check. Cheese plate came out before cocktails. Ended up still spending close to $60 for this experience.
Super busy and loud at our first table i. The bar area. They were great about moving us to the much quieter back room.
Our waitress was knowledgeable about the menu helpful and did not rush us.
We shared a charcuterie board, foie gras, escargots, sourdough boule and the wonderful frites. Everything was perfect!
We also tried the steak, duck and scallops. This was a totally enjoyable meal and I would highly recommend the restaurant.
We were celebrating moms 70th birthday with brunch at boucherie. Our server was rad, he knew the menu really well and guided us through the charcuterie board. There was something for everyone, down to cocktails, NA drinks & savory and sweet dishes. Only thing is, I wish there was something special for the birthday lady or dessert offered which may not be part of brunch service. Thanks for a great time! We will definitely return.
Delicioso, comi la pechuga de pato
Fell below my level of expectation. Usually much better. Waiter was not attentive as if we were bothersome. I had the pesto pasta - ate it but did not really enjoy it.
