Royal 35 Steakhouse Ratings and Reviews
Best Steak in the planet came here on a business dinner with my partners. Second time in this place Ive traveled around the world and this really is the best steak in NYC. Ive never had a better steak and how they prepare it is even better. Dry Aged 30-35 days, served sizzling hot!
Id recommend doing a seafood tower for your appetizer, followed by a bone in ribeye medium/rare. Sides are the best are the German potatoes and mac and cheese!
What happened here... been a steady for months. Always have and recommend the chopped salad and steak for lunch. Came out like a crappy dinner 4 pieces of steak one one side of a shallow oval plate and a little lettuce on the other side. Was so embarrassed in front of clients!!!!!!
Beautiful restaurant in midtown Manhattan close to The Empire State building, can't wait to go back. Service was outstanding from beginning to end. Great wine list. We started with Crab cocktail, we both shared the Tomahawk steak, grilled asparagus, and German potatoes everything was a wow!
I celebrated my 60th birthday. Adam was very accommodating when my daughter called from Baton Rouge, Louisiana to surprise me with a card, flowers and payment for my dinner. They arranged for everything. It was perfect and the food was excellent!! Highly recommend!!
Food was excellent. Had the bone-in ribeye and it was perfectly cooked; the way that a steak should be. Service was excellent at the beginning of the evening when the dining room was not busy, however, as the evening went on and more tables were seated, the attentiveness of the waitstaff decreased significantly. This last comment is not something that should scare anyone from trying Royal 35, it is intended as a note to the management to address this issue because, otherwise, the restaurant is fantastic.
The service was only average (which was disappointing given some other reviews I read that really said the service was so inviting). The seafood appetizers were terrible and I swear were either frozen or simply not fresh. I guess it serves me right for ordering seafood appetizers at a steak restaurant but I was hoping everything would be fresh. Without a doubt, the steak was great. The ambience felt dated and unwelcoming. I appreciate a steakhouse with dark wood and leather interior so I wasn't looking for something "fluffy" but I don't know, this felt like a big box with no windows ... like a place where you might play racquetball or squash. They need to do something to make it more appealing.
We have dined at Royal 35 three times in the last six weeks, twice as tables for four and once for a family event with 14 people in the private upstairs room. This restaurant has been a wonderful discovery for us. The specialty cocktails were exceptional. Royal 35 does your steakhouse basics exceedingly well, with some innovative appetizers and desserts. Make sure to try the brioche crab cake, Applewood smoked bacon and lobster cocktail (enormous) appetizers. For the main course, the filets were done perfectly, and the sea bass was excellent as well. If you can save room for the desserts, the orange butter cake, the warm chocolate cake and the lemon cheesecake are all winners. Royal 35's dining room is fairly small and quiet, perfect for conversation. This restaurant has quickly vaulted to the top of our list of Manhattan favorites.
Smaller resteraunt...but what they lacked in size...they made up for in service and quality food. Price is on point with other high-end steak houses in NYC...but the service was a notch better. Have been to steak joints in other major cities...the only place that beats this is Gordon Ramsay Steak in Vegas. This place is going to be around for quite a while. If you haven't tried it...go now before they get so popular that you can't get a reservation.
Nice dinner for my husband and I, we ordered the porterhouse for two to share. I like my steak medium rare and my husband prefers medium. Steak was ordered medium to medium rare to accommodate both of us but was served very rare. The wait staff attempted to cook it a little more on the sizzling plate it was served on but we should have probably asked for it to be cooked a little more.
Had a really lovely evening at Royal 35. My hubby & I had some great food & wine 🍷. We were visiting New York from the UK and heard about the restaurant from RHONYC!!!
It had a great vibe, the staff were really friendly 👍👍
Will definately visit again when back in NYC..... 5 out of 5 from us ....
