About
My complaint here is that the menu is limited and that every side is an extra charge...Atmosphere is great, service was just ok ( I have been there for breakfast and service was ok but food selection great)
Always a winner, and dog-friendly also! They could step up replenishing the buffet a bit, but other than that, outstanding as usual!
Fancy place!!!
Excellent!
As a long time resident of the neighborhood (30 years) and a previous patron of the buffet, I was not quite as satisfied as I have been in the past. Yes, the buffet looked good and there was a variety of choices. But, items were slow to be replenished. I had to ask for bagels for the fish display. How did the staff not notice it was empty for over ten minutes? However, for me personally, the most missing piece from this buffet was the peel and eat shrimp. When did they take that off the menu? I know it’s been awhile since I’ve been there, but for $39.99 per person (alcohol not included), they ought to include it! The table staff was attentive to our needs. Although I am a fan of the Roxy Hotel, I probably be a very long time before I return for the buffet.
My reason for going was to listen to the Ed Cherry guitar trio. Their music was fantastic. The room is crowded with lots of walking back and forth to the food service area, that was a bit distracting for a serious music listener. The brunch buffet is outstanding, with many options for vegetarians and non-meat eaters. Service was attentive - coffee refills, water glasses refilled.
Everything was truly enjoyable except the service lagged.
We loved our seats and appreciated the live music.
Love The Roxy. Great vibes. Excellent food & service.
the bar is super cool and has a very good vibe. the decor is very charming and the live music adds even more charm to the place. but the service was very poor. we had two tables of six people each for my birthday and it was really a bad experience. the waitress didn't pay attention to our table at all and we had to place the same order a couple of times to get it done. the hotel is great and I'll definitely be back and stay there but the bar won't see me again, that is for sure!
Ambiance and music were great. Service was attentive. The Bar Steak was pretty good but had way too much salt.
Brunch was exceptional. The live Jazz music was unbelievable in a wonderfully relaxed environment.
We had a wonderful dinner. I had the bar steak which was absolutely delicious, so well seasoned and juicy! I’ve had steaks in many fine restaurants and this was right up there with the best.
You can’t beat the piano , ambiance and the decor. Truly a fun and delicious experience.
Fantastic like always
Great burgers and steak.Limited menu but what they have is good .Nice buzz with the live music. The wine list needs to be expanded
I’ve been going to Roxy bar for years when it was known as the TriBeCa grand. I’ve hosted and had many events here from my own engagement party to countless birthday celebrations and even Sunday jazz brunch. Needless to say I come here a lot. This is why I feel compelled to let you know how disappointing it is for me to write this. The service has really gone down hill. We were a party of 6 for cocktails and food. I made a special request for a couch area and even though the place was empty we were denied that spot. Fine. Second our waitress not only was not attentive but she left 1/2 way through out meal without even checking on us. The gentleman who took her place was apologetic but again it after a while we had to flag him for drinks and eventually the check. The place was empty by the way which is also a sign. Usually this place is very busy, even on a Monday. Food and drinks were still good it’s just the service that needs an overhaul.
Great atmosphere, great food, great service, very reasonable pricing for NYC, what more can a traveller that wants to fine dine and listen to music ask for !
Love this place! I’m a NYC gal but it was my first time there. Had a great night. The Roxy Bar now has a special place in my heart. We’ll be back!
Great spot! Love the ambiance, location, food usually good, bathrooms are private and clean! My go to spot for any meet up!
This was our first visit to the Roxy. My wife and I are locals living in FIDI and we’re excited to try this place and see the live jazz. The only reason I give it two stars is because the ambience and food is amazing.
What is shameful is it was the worst service we’ve experienced in a restaurant. At any price we shouldn’t get bad service but when it’s $28 for a burger which I’ll pay for the right place with no problem the service shouldn’t be so abysmal.
We sat at the table for close to 15 min before the server came over.
After that when the food came it was great but for the next 45 minutes the server never came back, we did have bussers fill our water but no one seemed to care that our drinks were empty or thus ask if we’d like another.
After our plates were taken away we waited 15 minutes and then I finally gave up, got up and got the check myself from another server.
Awful.
We like The Roxy
Through a birthday brunch for my sister the atmosphere was great the food selection was a little bit limited the service itself was incredible.
We were sat at a beautiful table, perfect ambience of lighting, crowd noise, and an amazing jazz band. Paired with delicious food and drinks, we had a perfect evening. It was awesome to take an elevator ride to our room with an amazingly comfortable bed. Thanks for an outstanding weekend. We will be back.
great place for a happy hour - nicely decorated and staff is super friendly. piano player was outstanding!
Father’s Day
Amazing service food environment perfect scene for a classy dinner/brunch. Can’t wait to come back!
Superb food, service and atmosphere! Can’t wait to come back to the hotel and restaurant/bar!
Wonderful service, will definitely be coming back.
Great spot, normally really like this place but was even better this time. The manager even came over to check on everyone and was very accommodating. It was my wife's birthday and they did a very nice cake and candle for us, above and beyond to what is normally a great place anyway.
Birthday brunch
Really poor quality food and drink, reminiscent of a TGI Friday. Not the food you’d expect at the extravagant prices on the menu, you can eat at beautiful Michelin star restaurants across Manhattan for cheaper!
We ended up leaving after our appetizers as we couldn’t really eat them, and heading to Odeon down the street which is so much better.
Great lobster rolls and fries. Good salad for vegan, nice waitstaff.
The Roxy is very unique. The atmosphere reminds you of the 1930s. They have some playing the piano in the background. The food along with the service was excellent.
They also have an oyster bar and happy hour.
Would definitely recommend you try this place. Reservations are recommended
Went to the Roxy for lunch with three friends. The service was impeccable. Lobster roll was amazing! I will definitely go there again.
Brunch at Roxy is my favorite in the city. Great ambiance, service, food option and live music on both Saturday and Sunday. I go at least twice a month and always leave happy.
Starting off at The Roxy made our first evening at the Tribeca festival a wonderful start. Never having been there before we were pleasantly surprised at the comfort, luxury, service and delectable salads and drinks there. Having background music yet with the ability to have a converation set the stage. We had the lobster salad with avocade coupled with my whisky on the rocks helped me sail through the short walk to the festival. We certainly will go again and I even bought a gift card for someone else!
Been here numerous time always excellent - good service good food good music, great for hanging or business
Spectacular restaurant and hotel! Ambience was like taking a trip in time... Art Deco meets hipster. From the receptionist, hostess to the exceptional waitress and waiters. Top notch service and dining. The jazz in the evening was alternative with a French flare. An added bonus was the tango dancers that make the Roxy their Thursday night meeting spot. Their dancing was fluid, beautiful and oh so entertaining! The Roxy is a shining gem in TriBeCa
We enjoyed the Easter Brunch, the Jazz and the venue was amazing.
Everything was wonderful but it was hard to even get a refill on water and the cocktail/wine list was subpar. Way too small. We would have spent more money but we’re not going to spend on a cheap wine.
Had a very pleasant experience. The food was fantastic. The music was great. This is a gem in NYC. Will return
