Nobody was at hostess station when I arrived...waited 5 minutes. Husband was parking car and when he came in there was nobody there again so he wandered around restaurant until he found me. We were seated upstairs by window cramped in between another table of two and a table of four ..so close it seemed we were eating with them. Could hear every word they were saying. Waitress was frazzled. We were on time constraint to see a show (we only had an 90 min) and told her that as soon as she took drink order. Black and blue salad had VERY limited ingredients (about 5 nuts, could barely see any blue cheese crumbles, maybe 3 pears). We asked for blue cheese for wings (they didn’t have any). She offered a yogurt dip. But then never brought it. Half way through we saw yogurt dip underneath wings smeared on plate (barely enough for 1-2 wings)...but she didn’t even tell us it was there. My only drink was water and it was never refilled. I literally had to bring my card to her before she ran away from another table so we could leave. My harvest pizza was good and the acorn soup was ok (kind of bland). Nothing special and wouldn’t recommend
Met my girlfriends for pre Christmas shopping brunch. The staff was wonderful. The food delightful. Charming restaurant.
Birthday brunch. Had never visited before as RowHouse ( had been there years ago when Lord Chumley’s). Ambiance was great and decorated for holidays made it special. Food was excellent. Service was spot on. Definitely will return!
Despite labor problems, all seems to be going very well. This restaurant adds a lot to Buffalo. I will come back again and again.
Amazing AMAZING ambiance. This place is beautiful.
The orange juice may be healthy... but it isnt the tastiest orange juice.
Everything in the bakery was delicious.
The place is really, really cool inside. A band was playing when I got there for Sunday brunch, which was nice! Service unfortunately was disappointing. It was not busy at all in there. I stood and waited for a hostess around 5 minutes. Multiple people that worked there walked by without saying anything. None of the staff seemed like they wanted to be there - the hostess, the bartender & our waitress all seemed less than enthused. It took almost 15 minutes to get a cocktail after we ordered from our waitress. All of the food was just ok and lukewarm. Overall it was "meh" which is unfortunate because the place is really gorgeous.
I enjoy the brunch. The French toast is excellent. The service is wonderful.
Service was so slow! People at other tables got up and left.
Had a really great time with family and friends at this restaurant. The inside is incredible. Our whole party was saying such good things before and after our dinner. Would love to come back.
The ambiance at this restaurant was amazing. The bar set up is gorgeous with the huge windows and view of Delaware. We were seated upstairs in an adorable nook next to a couch and a lovely bookshelf. There was a great view out the window and of the full restaurant. We were there on small business Saturday, which was great to see local vendors selling their products and added to our experience. The food however was a huge disappointment. The menu looked great but when we arrived the restaurant was out of multiple things which was a little frustrating. We also had a reservation and had to wait for about 25 minutes and it seemed like there was some disorganization. We ordered a sticky bun for the table and it came room temperature rather than warmed up. A few of us ordered flat bread pizzas and the crusts were burnt and they were all quite dry. The harvest pizza had great ingredients but there was not enough pesto on it and arugula was just dumped on the top. The prices were reasonable but unfortunately I would only recommend this restaurant to a friend for a cute spot to get a coffee downstairs and enjoy the space.
We started our evening with a drink at the bar in the lounge. The drinks were awesome and the lounge was really cool- groupings of chairs and couches by fireplaces, a gorgeous bar. We headed upstairs for dinner. The food was excellent- we ordered most of the menu and everything, including the desserts, was outstanding. Favorites include the risotto, kale Caesar, wings, and the flan!!! The restaurant is gorgeous - original wood, fireplaces, windows, pocket doors.. just beautiful. The service was also excellent! Can't wait to try the brunch menu.
Food was pretty good, service was terrible...luckily the ambience and company made the slow service easier to deal with.
The place is charming with ancozy ambiance . the staff could not be nicer. The Bar is fun with an eclectic design that is great. excellent bartendress. We had reservations but sat at the bar for a bit and they did not rush us.
3/ 4 had the salmon and were very pleased. I had a burger wich I wasnit crazy about. It seemed a bit greasy. It did state a beef pork mix. The presentation of the burger was on a small elevated cutting board with my side salad, and while very pretty, there is not an inch of space to cut or do anything with the meal without it falling off the board. Awkward.
There was live music and possibly a happy hour starting up. Definitly would consider the place again for drinks, happy hour or dinner.
Excellent pork chop and flon. Service was attentive but not obtrusive. Ambiance as always was charming.
Our server Jordan was amazing. Very attentive but not nosy or in the way of a great date night! Can't wait to go back and try another menu item as my sirloin and succotash was AMAZING. My date loved her half chicken.
Had a great meal. Staff was wonderful and very accommodating. Very remember-able evening!
The Rowhouse Bakery is a beautiful venue - Every floor, every room. The entrance to the "outdoor" cafe is incredible!! Worth going just for coffee or a drink to see the decor. But - food was delicious - We truly enjoyed or evening and will be back!
Overall we enjoyed having brunch in this beautiful restaurant. We were given the wrong menus & we received the correct ones after we started ordering. My guests enjoyed themselves.
Really like the ambiance and building itself. The food was delicious although the baked goods were not as good as I had thought they would be. Very pleasant setting and great to linger and chat.
Amazing service and food.
Our waitress was unfamiliar with the menu and the ingredients in the dishes. She was unfamiliar with what was or was not available the evening we were there and one of our group ordered chicken which was clearly undercooked. The waitress tried to convince her that is was, in fact, completely cooked; it was the type of chicken it is that caused the visible blood on the plate. The waitress then said that if she was uncomfortable eating it, she would be happy to take it back and bring her something else. The Manager came to the table shortly after and apologized for the dish being obviously undercooked and comped my friend's drink. I am so disappointed that our experience was not good--we walked in and decided that we would return next month with another friend. It is a lovely place with such a nice "feel". Unfortunately--we've decided to go somewhere else.
Outstanding dinner. Very friendly staff and a diverse menu.
A very pleasant surprise.... will definitely go back.
Excellent service .. loved the brunch menu.
Service was extremely slow. They were out of most beers and multiple things on the menu. Food was great and ambiance was incredible but it seemed employees had never worked at a restaurant a day in their life.
Went for restaurant week. Good menu and the food we eneded up with was very good, but wanted to add something to the pizza and offered to pay the upcharge but was politely denied. Then they don't have cocktails anymore just basic drinks. Our waiter Jordan was the most polite guy in the face of not being able to order what we wanted to have. Can't say we will be going back anytime soon. The idea of not being able to get what you want at a restaurant reminded me of when I was little and had to eat what was on my plate before I left the table...
Nice location just north of downtown Buffalo; easy to park on Sat. midday. Lovely building. Very friendly and accomodating staff but not well trained. Sweet young folks without a clue. Tasty brunch food, tho a bit over priced. NO bread for sale in the bakery. They "lost their baker a month ago"? Should have a sign posted.
We had a farewell dinner for a good friend and it was a very enjoyable evening. The food was good and the service was quick and efficient. We will come back the next time we are going to be in the area. What worked out best was that after 5 p.m. the parking is free right in front so it was easy peasy. The location was also outstanding.
The place is beautiful, but our cauliflower soup, while beautiful plated on a very hot plate, was lukewarm and bland; the second bowl was also lukewarm and bland. My martini was weak, and the squash dish, while innovative and also beautifully plated, was lukewarm. The menu is wonderfully veggie friendly with creative dishes, and small plates are fun, but they need to be flavored and cooked well, with decent drinks.
Rowhouse consistently exceeds my expectations! It's great for breakfast, coffee, and full meals. We recently went to multiple business lunches and it was perfect. Creative food, good service, quiet enough for conversation but not awkwardly silent. A win-win!! We are quickly becoming regulars!
The cauliflower soup wasn’t as good as the last time. Too chunky but flavor was good.
Our server Arnold was very attentive and helpful. Ambience and decor wonderful.
A beautiful find on Delaware! Can't wait to visit again!
The pastries were delicious, as were the drinks. The French toast was fantastic, but the hash was just ok. The poached eggs were overdone and the overall dish was underwhelming. However the meal was a plus thanks to the ambiance fresh pastries!
Food was bad and the menu was very limited. Service was good and it is a gorgeous building.
The restaurant has a great look, delicious food, and friendly servers. I enjoyed the catfish and my friend had a burger. The star of the show was the delicious cauliflower soup as our starter!
The Rowhouse restaurant decor was stunning. The lounge was very cozy as we waited for our table. The furnishings were lovely, and placed thoughtfully to give the place a nice flow sans clutter.
The service was professional and friendly. Our server was very familiar with the menu. I would definitely return for dinner, or perhaps a pastry and coffee at their bakery.
There is a very comfortable and historic feeling to the restaurant. We were greeted immediately when we entered the restaurant and taken to our table. Our waiter was a little slow with drinks and service in general. However, he was very friendly and helpful so it was easily excusable; and perhaps partially explained by the multi-floor setup of the restaurant which can't be easy on the wait staff. Our first course were Caesar salads amd they were excellent; not drenched in dressing like they are so many other restaurants. My wife and I shared a pepperoni pizza which was slightly undercooked and not especially good. I would not order it again, but dishes served to other tables looked really good and makes this restaurant worth a second look. But all in all, we enjoyed a good, if not spectacular, evening.
The food was good, although very limited menu. The wait staff needs a lot of training. Really did not have the knowledge of anticipation and accommodation of the guest. Real rookie service.
Six people in our group for brunch. One persons breakfast pizza arrived well after everyone else finished eating. The late meal was taken off the bill.
Our only issue was with the Very Berry Dessert... could have been cooked a little more and more heated through.... not that we didn't eat it though!
Half of my party enjoyed their meals, half didn’t. Stick to a pizza or burger and you’ll be safe.
