Inspired by Midtown Atlanta’s multiple periods of prohibition during the middle of the 19th century, Rowdy Tiger Whiskey Bar & Kitchen channels the city’s unruly past, which included local speakeasies known as ‘blind tigers.’ In celebration of whiskey, legal or otherwise, Rowdy Tiger boasts one the largest selections of scotches, bourbons, and international whiskeys in the city, complemented by a quintessentially American menu, including Southern favorites like Brioche French Toast, Lowcountry Cioppino, Fried Green Tomato Caprese, and Bread Pudding.
Our Atlanta whiskey bar and kitchen commemorates the city’s storied past by raising a glass to an exciting future in our Midtown Atlanta neighborhood.

Server was AMAZING, wonderful personality, great conversation and down to earth. Food was great: Chicken BALT and Burger both with awesome fries! Will definitely be back!
Food was very bland
Wonderful choice for our monthly Culinary Club. Our outing to try different restaurants in ATLANTA since 2000. After our 14 mon Covid hiatus, we are back! We have visited this space before under prior name, but THE ROWDY TIGER is the best. Each meal was delicious and prepared well. Service was exemplary. The best part was the bread pudding with scotch caramel sauce! To die for. Thank you to the chef Andy for coming out to meet us!
The service was wonderful, I really enjoyed how friendly my server was, as well as the exquisite food that we were served
They don't tell you that besides street parking, it is convenient to park in the Renaissance paid public parking deck right next door. Also half of your party has to be there before the seat you...even if you want to start ordering.
Horrible place. We never got greeted by a host or hostess. Never got sat. Actually ruined our date night. Won’t be coming back. That was our first and last time.
Our server was beyond the best! He was super super nice! The food was great!
I came here on a date for the first time but I wasn’t impressed with this visit. I made the reservation to sit on the rooftop which currently isn’t available (which I was called before time to be told it wasn’t available I definitely appreciated that). I still decided to go through with the reservation just because its still a place Ive been wanting to try. After we were seated our server kept forgetting about us and often times we waited long periods before being able to put in orders for appetizers, entrees, or even drinks. It was very loud inside I’m guessing because there were 2 or 3 large groups there. A big issue is that I counted 2-3 guests that were seated after us and received serviced before us and it was mildly frustrating. There was even a party of 6 that came in after us that got all their orders and drinks taken, served, and devoured before we even got our entrees.
The food was pretty good though, and the drinks were good too. I’d still come back another time to try The Rowdy Tiger out again since I’m sure this isn’t typically how they operate. Everyone else there seemed to be having a great time and I just wish I had the same feeling.
Food was delicious and the service was excellent but the entrees and cocktails were a bit pricey for the dining experience.
The food was super delicious and we had an amazing server who was also hosting. He did a great job! Highly recommend the fried green tomatoes and the shrimp and grits. The cocktails were a little $$$ but so so good! Overall great experience
Fathers Day. Literally never got a server. We had to call the manager over each time we needed something. Food took about an hour to come out and was missing sides
Service was HORRIBLE. The manager was nice and compensated well. The food is very good. The waitresses all need to be fired.
Arrived a few moments early for our reservation. After being seated we waiting 15minutes without anyone coming to the table. We noticed that people that arrived after us had already been helped and attended to. At that time we got the attention of someone and let them know that we had not been helped, she stated they would get someone. 10 minutes later we had still not been help totaling 25minutes at our tablet with no service what do ever. We decided to take our buisness elsewhere but before we left we notified the manager of the poor service we received. We came to atlanta from NC and was looking forward to this restaurant but it wasn’t meant to be. I cannot recommend this establishment to anyone and we will not be visiting there again.
Everything was just ok. Will i return, probably not
It was my birthday. The restaurant experience was pretty good but the service was terrible. Drink orders were ok but the waiter waited until 5 minutes before the kitchen closed to ask us if we wanted to order food. We had been waiting for him to come to the table but he rarely did.
The environment is beyond great, services engaging and well knowledgeable of the menu
Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review, Lulu! We are so happy to hear you enjoyed your time with us! We will pass along your feedback and positive comments to our management team. We hope to see you again soon!
Disappointed the rooftop is closed, slow service, okay food.
Thank you for taking the time to give us a review, and rate us on our food, service, and ambiance. We have an exciting renovation refresh happening on our roof, and I would love to have you back personally as our guest at the end of July when it's opened for the public. I've reached out offline to set this up for when we re-open the roof.
Outdoor section won’t be open until July 2021. One of the best parts of this restaurant.
They were out of most food and drinks. Complete mess of an experience.
Thank you for taking the time to give your feedback on your experience with us. I reached out to you privately to discuss, I hope you’ll take me up on it so we can make this right and you get to experience things the way they should be.
I won’t be visiting this place any more. I pre-made a reservation for a large party but they only had 2 bartenders serving as bartenders, barbacks and servers. Needless to say, due to the understaffing, we waited 45 min before receiving our first round of drinks and over an hour for the food. When the food finally came out, many dishes were incorrect. This place is overpriced, understaffed and a bit on the quiet side for an in-town restaurant. I was extremely disappointed- they completely killed the party I planned. I would not recommend them.
Thank you, Alicea, for taking the time to share information about your recent visit with us. We are sorry to hear that your experience did not live up to our expectations & yours. I take what you said very seriously and have addressed this with my team. I want you to know that what you experienced with your long wait times for food and drinks is not who we are. I would really like to make this right and invite you back to enjoy the great experience you deserved to have.
Came for Mother’s Day. Waited about 35 minutes for service when the restaurant was pretty much empty. Open to coming back in the future.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review! We will pass along your feedback to our management team. We hope to see you again soon!
DO NOT EAT HERE. We went for Mother’s Day brunch and waited two hours and never got our food. It was a terrible experience.
Wow.... I never leave reviews but this was unbelievable. We had a reservation at 8:15pm, waited for 20 minutes without being greeted by an host or hostess. Three times I walked into the back and found a water or waitress to ask to be greeted. We were eventually shown to a table for two (we had 5 in our party) and tried to explain how this wouldn't work - - but the way, there were several open tables around. After our arrival, while we were standing at the table for two a mom and her daughter were seated alone at a 5 top.
We also were told that the kitchen would not accept any food orders for at least another 20 minutes. Two other parties after us and our group all left and walked to other restaurants. We tried talking to a waiter or to find the hostess even after that to find out if the kitchen would ever be open... to ask if someone had called in sick, we tried to be cooperative and understanding.... but at some point you just recognize that this place didn't want our business and didn't want to work with us - or even serve us drinks... so it is definitely not a place we will revisit.
We had a reservation for 8PM and were not seated until 9PM. They said the kitchen was backed up and so they were staggering table seatings. We did not receive our food until 10:30PM this is simply unacceptable. Food was mediocre at best.
Terrible service! I made reservation for my birthday brunch with a party of 8. Also, I sent an email about setting up on the rooftop. I was informed by the director that the rooftop wasn’t available for groups because it was in the process to be renovated. I settled to dine inside. We all arrived on time. The restaurant was empty but it took 5 minutes to be seated. Not sure why it took that long to be seated in an empty restaurant. I had no idea about the outdoor seating was available but the host didn’t give us that option to sit outside.
The Host/Hostess wasn’t professional, friendly and very unhelpful. After the host seated us, we didn’t get any water. I had to ask for it. The host didn’t bother to bring it. We waited another 15 mins to find out our server was the bartender/barback. Oh i forgot to add, the hostess decided to tell us about their closing time at 2 while we waited 15-20 to get our water and the menus. We had no idea about their in between closing time. I would have moved my reservation at noon instead of 12:45. We had to quickly ordered our food. The server was very nice but i felt sorry for him because he was working tables and bar. The host didn’t help or anything. What I noticed shortly after we got our water (finally), a group of white customers came in, seated by the same unprofessional host (who didn’t want to deal with us), and received service with no issues. They even got their food before us.
BTW, The food wasn’t good at all. I ordered the chicken and waffles. My chicken was over cooked and the waffle was hard. I didn’t eat all of my food. Very disappointed.
I wouldn’t recommend this place. I emailed the director expressing my concerns and bad service.
I’m still waiting for him to respond back.
Thank you, Chris, for taking the time to share information about your recent visit with us. We are sorry to hear that your experience did not live up to our expectations & yours. We want to sincerely apologize for the service you received on your birthday. The things that you described about your experience is something that we take very seriously. I have brought this to the attention of everyone involved including our hostess and will use this experience for coaching and counseling my team. The fact that you gave us a chance with picking us to dine with is very important. I know you really only get a first chance to make a great impression, and we failed you with your impression of us. I would really like to make this right and invite you back to enjoy a meal on us.
Ambiance was nice only negative was that they have substituted the Chilean Sea Bass meal with a cheaper fish citing “covid” as the reason while keeping it the same price but are undertaking a massive rooftop remodel make that make sense 🤨 other than that friendly staff and nice ambiance was a saving grace for this restaurant.
Excellent food and service. Great location. Looking forward to the rooftop opening in July!
We went to Rowdy Tiger for Easter Sunday brunch. The food was great and the service was excellent. The brunch menu was varied with enough of a good selection for all our party. We will definitely be back.
Food is bland and over priced
My fiancée and I just moved to Atlanta and this was our very first dining experience in the city — our server Mahalit (unsure on the spelling of her name) was amazing and so personable. She chatted us up about some of her favorite things on the menu and made us feel really welcome!
The food was awesome — we ordered a few different starters for the table and breakfast entrees and it was all wonderful. We’ll definitely be back!
Incredible food and excellent staff. Tony was attentive without being intrusive. Be made excellent food and bourbon recommendations. We will be requesting him on our next visit.
Server Tony was phenomenal!
My 30th Birthday
Had dinner their Friday. Food was good and the service we had was outstanding.
The service was great! Drinks weren’t good, but the ambience and the Customer service is amazing
Excellent Service overall food was good and customer service was on point!!
We had brunch there and everything was delicious. Johnny (our server and the bartender) did an outstanding job.
Not good- overpriced
Great Great Great
