   Restaurant Review: Row 34 We had a fantastic dining experience at Row 34, made even more memorable thanks to our wonderful server, Carolina. From the moment we were seated, she struck the perfect balance of attentiveness and timing. After we placed our full order at the start of the meal, she paced each course flawlessly—no awkward menu juggling or wondering when the next dish would arrive. Everything just flowed. Carolina’s recommendations were spot on, especially the oysters, which were impeccably fresh and flavorful. We also tried the scallops, fries, crab cake, clam chowder, and the lobster roll—each dish was beautifully prepared and delicious. The scallops were seared perfectly, and the lobster roll was rich without being heavy. Sides like the fries and the creamy clam chowder rounded things out nicely. We finished with carrot cake and banoffee pie, both indulgent and satisfying. Carolina’s warmth and thoughtful service made the experience feel seamless and relaxed. We left full, happy, and already planning a return visit. Highly recommend Row 34—and if you can, ask for Carolina!

   the services is very welcoming and professional, and the manager was on duty to supply extra oysters when we saw how small the ones we ordered were. All of the staff is super. The shellfish is terrific as are the mussels. We were not so taken with the seasonings and flavor in the tacos, the snap peas salad.,. And the smoked mackerel was served very cold, with bland sauce. So, a fun time, great atmosphere, terrific bivalves and wine, but a little uneven on the mains and appetizers.

   Our table had the shrimp/pasta dish, the fish stew, the hake and the skate and we were all loving our dishes...salad to start was fresh and good also. I've never had a bad meal there and everyone is so accommodating and nice. Often we have the oysters too but last night was cool and we chose not to.

   The service was great, as was the food quality. The menu is limited but everything was well prepared and extremely delicious. Out table ordered the burger, fish tacos, shrimp pasta, and lobster roll, everything was great. I recommend this restaurant.

   Our family was so looking forward to an early Easter Dinner (2:15 pm) at Row 34 Cambridge. However, we were all very disappointed in the food preparation, quantity, and quality. I expected that this would be an expensive meal, but we also expected a wonderful meal and experience. The food quality was very poor. The $68.00 Lobster Rolls (we had 3 for $204.00 plus tax & tip) were bland, tasteless, and small. The Toro Tuna Pastrami appetizer was terrible - it was a very poor use of the tuna. The raw bar oysters were good, as was the fried oyster appetizer. However, everything else (Lobster Bisque, Blue Crab Bowl, and gluten-free roll for one of the Lobster Rolls) was very poor tasting and of low quality for the price and reputation of this establishment. Our server was very good and made the best of it. We still tipped him 20% because it was not his fault. This was a very disappointing experience, and we will not be returning to Row 34 anytime soon. We were excited about a really nice Easter meal at Row 34 Cambridge. Instead, we came away very disappointed with the food quality, the tastes provided, and the exorbitant cost for the quality provided. Almost everything we ate was bland, tasteless, and expensive (for what it was). We expected an expensive, really good meal. The good meal did not happen - only the expensive part. I can not recommend this restaurant to anyone. The value and fine dining experience were just not there.

   Do they do this for every patron? Mentioned it was my birthday when I made the OpenTable reservation. Was handed “Hey! It’s your birthday!” menus when we sat down, along with complementary glasses of champagne. Then got a free appetizer: scallop tacos. Finally, a free slice of carrot cake for dessert. I figure that’s about $60 of free vittles. I’m definitely impressed and will certainly be back! Felt very noticed!

   Pan seared trout was swimming in butter or oil. I could only eat half. Also, service was very slow.

    The food is great. But, it is so noisy that my companion and I could not have a comfortable conversation. Why the music needs to be so loud I will never understand.
