The sibling restaurant to Island Creek Oyster Bar, Row 34 serves up a seafood-heavy menu in an industrial-inspired setting. Chef/Owner Jeremy Sewall's menu offers fish entrees and an extensive oyster selection, along with craft beers and an eclectic wine list. Classic comfort food side dishes round out the menu.

Perfect every time!
We had the best server and such a wonderful dining experience tonight! First time at Row 34 and can’t wait to come back! Thank you!
Service with Matt was impeccable. Do not miss the tuna crudo or butterscotch pudding. Ask for the Malt vinegar aioli with the fries. HEAVEN.
Absolutely horrible service, from the greeter to the waitress. Incomprehensible attitude. Food too salty almost inedible. Smallest oysters I have seen in a restaurant, not even sure they are of legal size. Waste of time and money.
Crudo is a must - so fresh and delicious. Love the variety of beverage choices.
My sons 30th birthday dinner..
I feel like the service and food quality have dropped. We arrived on time and only to be told that our table wasn’t ready and we had to stand somewhere to wait for a good 15mins. They were also very understaffed that we had to wait for a long time to be served and before food was brought out (we ordered oysters and clams for starters... only require shucking). The daily whole fish was cooked to perfection so that saved a lot of points. Finally we were seated next to a crying baby plus the music (and it’s a work dinner)... we all left with a headache to say the least
Thanks for going above and beyond for a very special
Birthday dinner! Cheers!
We liked it so much, we booked dinner here the next day
Row 34 is the best restaurant in Boston, by far. In my opinion, it’s a must when you visit the city.
We were visiting Boston from Toronto and while dining at the Island Creek Oyster Bar, our server recommended Row 34 (their sister company) - and we are SO glad he did! Absolutely loved the vibe and we opted to sit in the shaded patio. Split the lobster roll with fries and the lobster tacos. Service was good too and everything went smoothly!
This place was wonderful. Reservation was hard to get so we went relatively early for dinner so we had the oysters and a bottle of wine. Daniel our server was on point. The oysters were amazing. It was a relaxing experience and since it was my daughter’s birthday they gave her a treat. Thanks for acknowledging we were celebrating a special occasion.
Large selection of excellent oysters. Very attentive and professional service
This restaurant reaches above and beyond. I would rank it against the other famous seafood restaurants any day!
I have been to Row 34 several times and it has always been great! I was disappointed with the Oysters this time, several were extremely large, and with oysters, it isn’t the bigger the better. I frequent The Landing in Duxbury, same owner, and the oysters are perfection! The salmon was fine but the beer was served less than cold and the service was just ok as well. I don’t go there because it is cheap and tip reasonably well, I just expect to get better than ok.
Thank you for a delicious meal for our anniversary! Delicious and the staff was super friendly!
I always come here for business lunches, I love the warm lobster roll.
Excellent seafood and great beer and wine list. Service a little impersonal, so don't go alone. I've had a great meal every time.
Fresh see food, a lot of beers and wines.
A fun and lively place! Great food and the servers are always so nice and helpful. Our server was Jill and she was excellent!
Food and beer were fantastic as usual. Only complaint is that the service was woefully slow. We waited quite awhile for drinks and our order. It took way longer than it should have and no real explanation as to why. Maybe because it was Saturday night but this place is always busy and usually quicker.
Crab cake was mostly filler. Little crab and not that tasty
Tuna tartare pretty good but needed at bit more seasoning
Service slow and waiters looked overwhelmed. Food good but desserts way to sweet. A little overwhelming
Row 34 oysters are must-haves, basically all the seafood dishes were best of the kind. Love the atmosphere as well.
It’s great place to eat oyster!Good wine and good seafood.
Food was really good. So was service.
This is my favorite restaurant in Boston, consistentlyrics offering the best combination of fresh seafood and outstanding service. I've never had an experience here that wasn't memorable or impeccable. The branzino is my favorite, and the seafood board is a must have.
We had a great time and the food was good. Just good, because of one thing: salt. Everything was so salty that it really took away the taste of the meals. We could see that every meal we had would have been so amazing with maybe 50% less salt on it. Truly amazing food that was spoiled by a quantity of salt I have never experienced before. Maybe we were unlucky to go at this time, I cant understand how the restaurant have such good reviews with this much salt.
Service was amazing and the place looks great.
Great experience- loved the food, music, and ambiance!
I ordered lobster roll. The bread bun was little too oily, chips were too salty, and coleslaw was terrible. I prefer the Capital Grille.
Grazie per tutto ,gentilissimi e molto preparati,
Lo consiglio a tutti coloro che vogliono mangiare a Boston bene ed in relax in un ottimo ambiente.
Amazing place. Atmosphere was a 10 and the food and beer selection were amazing
This is a tough review to write because this was my 4th time to this restaurant, and the previous three were fantastic. I will say right away that we love the food overall. Smoked and cured board is still one of my favorite things anywhere. And for a seafood focused spot they make a VERY good burger (it's my daughter's go to).
But this trip was a huge let down and I'm going to make sure I put this review in a few places.
First, about the service. I think it's one of the high points of this place, IF you get the right person. Our server was fine, but not great. We felt like we were mostly ignored and when we did get attention it was quick and curt.
Second, the food was really good. The lobster on the pasta dish was the exception, because the lobster was very over cooked, which is a real surprise for where we were. The other dishes (including the burger, and the monkfish) were very good and cooked perfectly and of course the cornbread skillet is a MUST try.
Most importantly, the entire experience was just not good, with the main reason being the amount of time it took, and the lack of acknowledgment. From the time we ordered our main dishes to when we actually received them was a clocked 1 hour and 5 minutes. In that time we did have the server come by once and say she would comp us an app because of the wait. But it was a very very long time. I realize this place gets CRAZY busy, but it's always that way, so that's no excuse for that long. Plus not one manager or supervisor ever came to talk to us.
I really like this place and feel like it's a go to stop if you're a foodie in Boston, but I was really disappointed with this trip we booked two months in advance, as a special dinner for my daughter, which we left feeling frustrated and sad that it took up most of our night.
Went here for my fiance's birthday. Firstly, the environment is very chic and comfy. We were sat by the window that overlooks the patio. It was rather quiet for being a spacious restaurant, which was nice. My fiance started with 6 oysters from the raw bar and liked most of them. We also shared the mussels and shishito appetizers -- both were very yummy! For our meals, I got the small fried oyster platter (perfect size, as I had filled up on apps) and he got the fried fish sandwich. We both enjoyed those as well.
He considered getting the lobster, but for $32, could not justify the price. Other places in the are have rolls for half that?
Service was fine. Staff was attentive but it kind of seemed like no one had a "section" and we have 3 different people coming to our table asking us the same questions. That said, we never ran our of sparkling water (complimentary, which was great!) and we always had what we needed.
The location and service are great. The appetizers were great but our fish dishes were a bit salty.
Not what expected from a majority of the reviews. Service was fine and food was good, but value lacked big time. Price was way too much for the portion of food served. Noise level off the hard concrete floors was annoying. And no liquor other than extremely high-priced wine choices and above-average priced beer options.
Disappointing, love the oysters but the lobster roll was tiny especially especially compared to other restaurants. Wait staff was rushed brought everything out at the same time and forgot aspects of the order. Overall was expecting more.
We sat outside on a beautiful summer evening, and while we could hear the traffic going by, it was still a great urban setting with view of skyline around the Seaport.
The service was fantastic. We did have to return one of our Monkfish entrees twice, the third time, the head chef cooked it himself and it was much better. It was such a thick cut, and they were just not allowing it to cook through quite long enough. Fortunately we had the time, and it was an AMAZING entree, worth waiting for! I just had to eat alone as I did not make my table mates wait that long to eat!
