Accommodating and relaxing lunch time. Exciting food that the kids (9 and 6) loved. ..
ROVI has flavourful dishes to fit every taste and a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. It is perfect for brunch!
Surprising, carefull and delicious food in a beautiful surrounding (warm wooden walls)
and a relaxed, though very professional, atmosphere. We will certainly come back to
this new Ottolenghi loot.
Overall food is very good, there were a few dishes that i didn’t care for however, this is to be expected when trying new unusual flavour combos. Service attentive and ambience was great.
Expect Michelin star prices!
It was a dream come true. The pace was quite high: we were the first diner shift.
Volamos desde Madrid solo para probar la cocina de Ottolenghi y desde luego mereció la pena. Todos los platos estan deliciosos, son originales y con una estupenda presentación. Una maravilla. GRACIAS
Great tasting amazing fresh food. Nice ambience. Not too crowded or too loud. Very knowledgable, helpful and friendly staff.
Incredible food, with fab service. Would defo recommend.
Flavourful dishes, great service and good value for London
Lovely restaurant, food is amazing. Will be back again to visit all the other restaurants.
Awesome food experience, super delicious Kombucha, lovely service. I will definitely try and come back! Thank you so much!
Yes, great for brunch. Lovely atmosphere and service was great
Delicious dinner, very good service, nice ambiance, little expensive but worth it
All in all very good. Service great and food excellent; only issues being the knives were too blunt to cut some of the food and our seats were close to the door so we felt the cold whenever it was opened.
Drinks amazing, food delicious and imaginative with a rich palette of flavours.
Service quick and ‘having eyes’ on our table.
Although our table time was running out they politely invited us to stay to a different area of the restaurant where we could enjoy finishing our desert and stay for a while. Impressed!
Amazing restaurant, best Ottolenghi around! Celeriac shawarma and mackerel both to die for.
ROVI was welcoming and enjoyable. The food was delicious and the staff friendly.
We will be back, highly recommend
I am an Ottolenghi fan but was a bit disappointed with Rovi. The flavours were good but portions were small for the price. For instance, the hogget ribs at £16.50 consisted of two single lamb ribs which had more fat and gristle than meat and not at all tender as I would expect. So lovely food but you can find much better value elsewhere at lunchtime. Decor, service and ambience was excellent, so would recommend if you're not fussed about the value.
The food was very good - as expected. Similar to other Ottolenghi restaurants, the portions aren’t designed to be filling and you shouldn’t go there if you expect value for money.
What really let this down was the extremely poor and disjointed service. As it was for my girlfriend’s birthday I wanted everything to be perfect, however we ordered cocktails which came after our starters and after two reminders. The wine also came after our mains were served which is very poor considering how expensive the meal was overall and included service charge.
I have already let friends know that we had a disappointing experience and recommend that they don’t repeat it.
Poor service let an otherwise good meal completely down.
I went to Rovi to celebrate my partner's birthday; everything was perfect from the food to the drink to the overall atmosphere. Our waiter (Fred) was so friendly and gave great advice on what to order. Definitely made our day special, can't wait to come back.
Food great and good value. The let down:
1. Trying to be put on a communal table when we booked well in advance and there were lots of tables empty.
2. Trying to make us feel grateful that they were not going to turn our table in 2hours.
Honestly they need to do better and subtract the ego.
Amazing food however the service feels completely insincere when they’re trying to rush you out within the two hour time frame.
It’s the reason we came to London; and it didn’t disappoint! From the moment we walked in, the staff was attentive and accommodating. The food was amazing!
Unable to secure a table in the evening had to settle for a very early supper. Was worried that there would be no atmosphere but it was busy and buzzy. The service was second to none. The food really really good innovative and different. I was with a friend and we shared three small plates and two large which arrived as and when the server thought we should have them. Would highly recommend this restaurant and the great thing is that one feels one ate well and healthily. Quite pricey but really worth it.
Did not enjoy evening. Delay in seating us at start & giving us menus. Kitchen were having a bad night & serious delays getting food totally spoilt evening. Lots of apologies but no one took control to ensure we got adequate service. Had to send back one dish as roast onions were raw. Nothing tasted particularly good except lobster roll. A shame as it was lovely when it first opened
It was a great Ottolenghi experience. They serve the best eggs Florentine you'll ever have!
It was sensational — Everything was delicious and creative! Lots of amazing combinations of flavors!
Food was great but despite prebooking a table and arriving early we were asked to vacate our table less than an hour after arrival ( the booking info said table would be available for 90 mins) so no desert and felt our custom not really valued
The variety of vegetarian food was excellent and the flavours delicious and exciting. The restaurant looked beautiful and the staff were lovely. Really enjoyed the experience.
Things that could be better:
- more info on origins of the ingredients - e.g. are the vegetables organic, local?
- reception was a bit confused - waiting for person at counter and then someone else came up but just said talk to person at counter
- noise levels were OK as we were in the corner but seemed high in main part of restaurant
- some of the dishes seemed a bit mean e.g. 6-8 sprigs of broccolli
Best brunch I've had in London, will be going back a lot!
Second experience at Rovi and the service was dreadful. We arrived late so we enquired with the waiter who placed us whether we would have limited time at the table. We were told that it would be fine and if the table was needed they would move us to a different table so we could take our time. After the main, a waiter came to give us our bill saying that the table was needed. We asked him whether we could order dessert and he said that there was no dessert for brunch... not nice being thrown out of the restaurant this way!
Thank you for nice stay and surprise normy boyfriend’s birthday. It was awesome! :)
We've been wanting to dine at ROVI for a while and the experience did not disappoint. Every dish was delicious and the service impeccable, with great recommendations. And the miso caramels were unforgettable. We will definitely be back.
Lovely atmosphere, amazing food, very attentive staff. It was my birthday and my desert had a little Happy Birthday message on it :-)
It looks like a very nice place for a girlie catch up. The restaurant was filled with family gatherings and groups of girls.
Lovely food and nice drinks as well. So nice to go to a restaurant and find the majority of the choices veggie - no problem in finding anything nice to eat here!
The ambiance and service were good but we were oddly let down by the food - dishes were either bland or had delicate ingredients overpowered by batter. The desserts were good though.
Really enjoyed the food at this lovely casual dining experience. The lobster crumpets and celeriac shwarama are a must. A little disappointed with the mixed vegetable grill.
Delicious food & very nice service. The room is strikingly decorated and the staff were very welcoming. A really interesting menu - delicious!
The room was very pleasant, lighting level flattering but sufficient to read the menu by (!) & tables placed to give conversational privacy but maintain the feeling of conviviality & community. Our waiter was truly excellent on the wine list - when we didn't like any of our first three wine choices, he brought another three to taste & we found a beauty we were very happy with. The food was outstanding - inventive, highly tasty and satisfying to the eye and the palate. We had a terrific evening, our best food experience in London (visiting from NZ).
