Our newest restaurant in Fitzrovia is different to anything we've done in the past. The 85 seat restaurant serves a menu with vegetables at its heart but with a fresh focus on fermentation and cooking over fire. ROVI also features a large central bar with cocktails based on seasonal spices and house shrubs, and a dynamic low-intervention wine list from small producers.

We've teamed up with farmers who are passionate about growing great produce while respecting the environment. Fruit and vegetables will be come directly from biodynamic Brambletye in Sussex, and from Organiclea, a cooperative in East London.

In the center of the room is our bar which is reservable for guests dining with us over the age or 18, or 16 if accompanied by an adult. The rest of our seating is a mixture of standalone and communal tables which can be be converted into a semi private area for up to 10 to 12 guests. To host your event in this area please contact us directly.

The food made up for the experience. When you arrive there is no space at the central bar to wait while your table is prepared...you are reminded of a 2 hour dining slot yet the service is slow and orders do not arrive together. We were then asked if we really wanted to order that second bottle of wine as our main course arrived? And then made to feel like they were doing us a favor when they managed to give us extra time at the table!
Fantastic food such a shame they try to fit in 3 evening covers when 2 is plenty.

Like the concept of the menu, but I would if the menu can highlight the spice level of some dishes. I personally like spicy food, but would prefer the spicy would not over take the dish.

Ottolenghi food experience: it's always a good idea! Every dish contained a fermented part but mostly on the side. We had brought our kids who are Ottolenghi fans but were not so much into the fermented parts. It was easy to skip for them. For us the combination of all flavours was delicious with every dish. Overall quite pricy but quality and good food comes at a price.

The restaurant is very nice, food is good if you like fusion and unusual combinations. Is quiet noisy and we were seated next to the kitchen, even more noisy. Overall is a nice restaurant, but I do not think I’ll go back.

Nice service, nice room but underwhelming food (much preferred Nopi) and would much prefer to go to Caravan for food and value!
Came home with a burnt garlic taste in my mouth.

Table was only for two hours. We barely had swallowed the last bite of the main course before we were asked to leave. So we could not have desert or coffee. The food was nice, but this spoilt the evening. Got the feeling that ROVI’s goal is to get as much money out of the evening instead of giving their guests a nice evening.

Loved the food! Nice ambiance. Front door did not close very well, which made it a bit cold.

We’ve enjoyed very much at all levels, only the door (at the entrance) was not working properly
So when customers entering or leaving the restaurant it stayed open.( cold draft towards our side)

But the rest was excellent.

Crowded, very noisy - not energetic, NOISY. Had to wait half an hour to order after we'd been told that we had the table for two hours.
Service left us feeling that the restaurant was understaffed. Or over-occupied.
Food was bit of a disappointment (tomato sauce blisteringly hot, mushrooms bland, halibut dry), while wines were good.
So, unfortunately, not a very good experience.

Service could have been better. The bartender wasn’t the friendliest - he could have smiled a little more. Wines were expensive, so I didn’t think it was good value. The prawn crumpet was disappointing but luckily the charred leeks more than made up for it. It was truly outstanding and classically Ottolenghi

This was one of the most delightful meals I have had in a long time. From the service to the wine to the food - fantastic. The polenta crumbed oyster mushrooms and charred leeks were great and set the stage for the halibut (for two), which was beyond all expectations. Though the dessert list looked great, the flavors of the meal were so perfect we didn’t want to disrupt the party going on in our mouths. There is something amazing and unique about the tastes, textures, layers that just makes every bite an “experience”. The care and attention that goes in to the food and the service makes it first rate!!

Pure chance that we visited Scully a couple of weeks ago so can’t help but compare Rovi to it now we’ve been to both! We’d say the ambience and service were perfect at both (Scully a little more intimate). Again food outstanding at both, maybe a bit more of what you’d think of as ‘Ottolenghi’ at Rovi, but still with some new flavours. Scully felt like more of a culinary adventure where you just trust the chef and every single element to a dish was delicious and on point. Rovi there were just a few things within dishes we didn’t enjoy so much. Very accommodating of dietary requirements and made sure we weren’t late for the theatre! Also very kindly wrapping our Miso Fudge to take home with us was a lovely touch.

Fantastic food that is so different. So many options for vegetarians and vegans. We shared dishes tapas style which was a great way of trying the innovative flavour combinations and they were all fantastic... even the Jerusalem artichoke ice cream!

Just what you’ve come to expect from Ottolenghi: tasty food rooted in the Eastern Mediterranean, clear views of food being prepared (or already on offer), more communal dining than most, excellent service that was actually helpful.

Absolutely gorgeous food. First visit to ROVI we love Ottolenghi’s food & it didn’t disappoint. There wasn’t any pretentiousness just very friendly staff who know the food.
The food was awesome especially the lamb ribs and the celeriac but so was the prawn crumpet and the beans oh wow they were beautiful. Just need the recipes now Yotum to try at home.

Food was fantastic - both my friend and I had the JALAPEÑO CORNBREAD, scrambled eggs... Followed by shared PANCAKES... The fresh grapefruit juice was delicious too!
We were only one of a few tables & had to ask several times for things that were forgotten hence not giving 5* for service.
Loved the open chef space / kitchen!
Can’t wait to return for more yummy food...

We were a bit disappointed as we had to wait over 30 minutes for our table and we asked for a complimentary drink while we were waiting. They instead give us free nibbles which were delicious and rectified the situation.

The most ridiculously uncomfortable chairs spoilt the whole evening. We were a party part seated on the banquette which was comfortable but the wooden, woven strapped chairs are a disaster. Too low, too tilted away from the table and very unpleasant.
Having said that the food and service were excellent.
