Patio seating has a great view of the lake. Wonderful food! Avocado toast at breakfast was a perfect way to start the day.
Great place for lunch on Mackinac. Great place to escape the downtown area plus great food, service and wonderful view!
All round lovely!
Exceptional service and food, with great selection of drinks and food. Clean and beautiful.
Simply put, the food was delicious, our server was excellent, and the prices were competitive with other restaurants. One minor complaint ... the gentleman hired to provide the entertainment for the evening was rather loud, making conversation with my wife difficult. The highlight of the evening was when one of the servers took a couple of minutes to sing Unchained Melody by the Righteous Brothers. He was amazing. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Great food and view. Loved it!
Round Island Kitchen is one of the restaurants located at Mission Point Resort on Mackinac Island. We dined there twice while we were guests at the resort. The first time, we had dinner on their patio with our family group of 9. The food was good although I felt that they did a better job on the sandwich & salad entrees than on the main entrees. The kids were very happy with the choices on the kids menu. Our service was excellent. The second time, my husband and I dined inside for breakfast. The interior dining room has a lovely water view and we had a table near the windows. All breakfasts come with a bakery basket and the prices also include beverages. Breakfast was excellent and our service was also excellent.
A nice Island hotel experience. Very good attention and service from staff. Great views from our outdoor table. Breakfast was good but not all dishes lived up to the $19 price tag. Dinner more closely aligned to hotel pricing and value.
Excellent breakfast and great service. Fantastic views
They highly encourage reservations here but it didn’t really ever seem that busy. I think I it’s a con to get you to dine there. Breakfast is a fixed rate of $18.95 no matter what you get and the food wasn’t great and very small portions! The views are great but I’d recommend going for just a drink.
Great atmosphere. Great service. Food is ok , very good drinks. Highly recommend the blueberry mojito.
Fries are excellent.
We were on vacation and the restaurant was at the resort. Food was good and the service was excellent.
We took our bikes with us to discover Mackinac Island. What a delight it was to experience the fabulous view, wonderful service and good food, not to mention to get away from the THRONGS of tourists. It was just what we wanted at Round Island Kitchen. I’m so glad we made a reservation.
We had the greatest service, loved our food, and had the best view on the patio!
The service was awful each time we patronized the restaurant. It really put a damper on our vacation. We had expectations of a restaurant up to par. It was not.
Live music inside is very loud. It’s a hotel resturant. Nothing special as the website makes it look. Food was very good though. We sat out on the patio and had a nice few of the lawn ans lake.
Overpriced for the mediocre food. Desperately needs update in decor. Service was good with a fairly attentive and kind server and very sweet hostesses. Overall would not recommend.
We don’t recall the last time we reviewed a restaurant but the Round Table was so disappointing that I’d like to try to save other visitors from wasting their money. We don’t hesitate overspending on dining; the overpriced menu was understandable considering the beautiful ambiance. We ordered an appetizer and five meals, and every dish was HORRIBLE. The $20 entree salad was an unimpressive side salad and consisted primarily of wilted, bitter kale. The lamb in the lamb gyro was overcooked and cold. The Mac and cheese was equivalent to Velveeta. The cheeseburger was flavorless and dry, and $22 quinoa bowl was so small, we almost got the impression they were struggling to afford the ingredients. We also ordered the $17 beef nachos. The four slices of beef were drenched in such a large amount of cheap sauce, that you could barely taste the beef. The menu reads delicious but the food is basic at best and terrible at worst. When I approached the manager to let her know how disappointed we were with every meal, her uninterested, blank stare was consistent with the flavor and presentation of their meals. There was a time that Mission Point rivaled the Grand, but the Mission Point needs to recognize that they have let their standards drop. The almost empty balcony overlooking the extraordinary view of the greens and lake is indicative that the view isn’t enough to bring folks in to spend Grand prices on Mission Point food. There are plenty other restaurants- the Carriage House, the Pink Pony, Seabiscuit, the Jockey Club- to overspend on food. Mission Point should consider lowering their prices until they can bring their standards back up. Hopefully, enough visitors will steer clear until they’re forced to re-evaluate this establishment. If you have to visit, get drinks while you wait for your table at another restaurant. Side note: our server was a doll and should consider working at another restaurant where I’m sure she’d make substantially more money.
Wonderful! Copeland served us and was wonderful too!!
Breakfast was excellent
The food and staff were both amazing!!
The breakfast was good. Our waiter was less then efficient. Basically ignored us. Watched other tables come and go while we waited. Hopefully he was just having a bad day
Perfect afternoon lunch outside with great service and food.
Great food, but the best part was our server from Jamaica! He was attentive and fun, truly made for a perfect dinner
They not just a sports bar, but also have lovely outdoor seating overlooking the water. Total experience was very enjoyable and we will go back again to this little gem. It is worth the walk out to Mission Point to dine here.
Our waiter was working both outside decks and I believe it was too much to cover.
My nachos needed way more of the vegetables and meat slices needed to be cut smaller. It was about a 80% wonton chips to 10% meat and 10% veggies. My husband’s fish sandwich was mediocre. Overall experience was so-so. However, the atmosphere was awesome and relaxing.
I would give it another opportunity but would not recommend as a “go to” for a great meal 😕
Our waiter was super friendly and view was amazing
Gorgeous location outside!
Our waitress didn’t pay too much attention to us! We asked for straws when given water never received them till our drinks came and so I went to the bar to get them! Took forever to get our bill asked another worker to find our waitress and she was lost!
Chairs wicker need to be either painted or replaced!
The Kale Panzinella was more of a Kale Caesar Salad should be more described as such!
Brussel sprouts were amazing as well as the white fish!
Need to sell the Round House so more visitors besides guests use the restaurant! At 7:00 the place should have had more people!
Everyone is so very friendly. They are polite and gracious. Love the delicious food as well!
Beautiful view and good food. It would have been nice to have a working heater outside and a bigger dessert menu, but overall we enjoyed it
Nice place to dine. Food was good to excellent. Nothing bad with food at all. Service was excellent! We had a great server.
A must visit for those going to the Island. Great outside and inside seating, plus a lobby that is quite unique.
Ate there again Becasue meal was included with our resort package. Got the same God awful server from ther other day. Nothing improved if anything it was worse. Bugs everywhere!!!! All over the outside walls and they have tables set up along them. Disgusting I lost my appetite
Horrible service!!! Beyond slow, wait staff brought food with no utinsela and never seen again for over 30 min. Had to take from a different table. Ask for condiments and you will never get them either. They have hostess staff that should be waitstaff as they are far more attentive. The wait staff needs to be Completely replaced.
Great place for breakfast after watching a beautiful sunrise! We made reservations on the 4th of July because we weren’t sure how busy it was going to be. We had such a beautiful view of the lake. Food was amazing. You get a good amount of food for the price! Definitely would come here again.
Wait staff is horrible!!! They import a bunch if Haitians or soemthing that barely speak English for the season and have them waiting tables, they are slow, no personality, and not attentive at all. Our so called waitress brought our appetizer and walked away. We had no utensils etc. Never saw the lady again for about 25 min and that was after we had to speak to a manager. Food came out, they give u a squirt of ketchup in a tiny cup for a burger and fries. I asked for more and finished my burger before I got it. Highly over priced for portions and food is so so. You absolutely dont need a reservation no matter how much they push the need. The place is empty!!!
Great staff, great view and good food. We had dinner and breakfast. I can highly recommend the breakfast.
Beautiful view if you are seated outside. Busy summer night but definitely understaffed. Took a long time for drinks. Appetizers and entrees came out together. Salads very watery at bottom of bowls. Whitefish was dry and overcooked. Disappointing.
The food was not good. We’re sat on the patio which was beautiful but there was a sewer smell and we had to move. Overall we were not impressed.
