Rossoblu
Located in downtown’s City Market South, the site of Los Angeles’s original produce market, Rossoblu’s vaulted dining room and open kitchen create a festive dining environment. The restaurant’s private outdoor piazza allows al fresco diners to feel far removed from the nearby city bustle. An intimate basement wine cellar can be reserved for private parties.

Always love this place!
Always outstanding. The patio dining has been planned well...room between tables, good heating. Service, wine, menu and food are great. The only thing I don't love are the desserts right now (good not great) ...I remember them to be better pre-COVID...but if that's the only thing, it's a huge winner!
Very efficient. Hasn’t lost any quality in food or service since the pandemic. Very impressed!
Great outdoor area. Food is amazing.
Overall the experience was great. It was a chilly and windy night nonetheless there plenty of heaters around to keep us warm. Great food and great service.
One of the best Italian restaurants I've ever been to.
Love love love. All workers were truly polite as good as service comes together. Every dish was fantastic. Definitely will visit there soon. Can't wait to try other menu that i've not had yet
Excellent food, drinks, & service. This is our favorite restaurant.
Great food, extremely helpful and caring staff. Owner came out to greet us personally and made us feel at home. Such a special evening - can't wait to go back!
awesome all aroind
One of the best if not the best restaurants that I've eaten at in Los Angeles. Hans (the owner) and Skyler (our server) were beyond excellent. The whole experience was fantastic! Oh, and the food was incredible!
Service wonderful...food amazing!
The food was perfect and fresh. I visited from out of town and would go back again whenever I’m back in the city.
Rossoblu is ALWAYS great; but during COVID, they are just wonderful. Careful, safe, and of course, delicious!!! I was there recently outdoors during COVID with out the canopy, now there is an open canopy with heaters. And I am bringing a tight safe, small group here on December 6!
Everything about our dinner together and as superb! First, the welcome greeting. Second, the giant high-ceilinged tent - we were able to talk together in a normal tone of voice! Third, our very attentive and friendly service. Four, the warm acceptance of our well-behaved dog. Finally, the EXCEPTIONAL FOOD! One of us is vegan and ALL of us were thrilled😋!
Dinner was not only delicious but Rossoblu has taken so many safety protocols in this covid works. Tables were spaced with ample room between
Amazing place for pasta, but their pizza is also so good! Great drinks, great wine list, great atmosphere.
Love the Covid modifications too, definitely feels safe.
Highly recommend!
Very friendly host. Very cool place to hang out. Pizza is excellent.
The quality of the food is not the same as wher they just open the restaurant
Hans, Steve, and the team behind Rossoblu continue to make my wife and I feel so special. Johnny, our server did a beautiful job of coordinating the dishes so that they arrived within enough time to allow us to enjoy our meal. Alan made a delicious cocktail called the Golden Hour. And on a chili night like it was, the tortellini in brodo was the perfect warm-me-up. Oh, and the TENT! You really feel like you are dining in a five star, world class space. And with the pandemic going on, you couldn't feel safer and better taken care of. I hope Rossoblu stays around for years and years to come :)
Rossoblu is the best restaurant in LA, IMHO. The regular manager (so sorry I don't have his name at hand,) along with all of the staff, are superlative. The food is of the highest quality and almost entirely made in-house, the wine selections are thoughtful and creative and the space itself is, perhaps serendipitously, perfectly adapted to the requirements of Life in Pandemia. I (and my extended family of East-Coasters who spend lots of time in and/or are LA transplants) either dine at or order takeout from Rossoblu as often as possible.
Everything was superb! Rossoblu has done a great job handling service during the pandemic. The staff is so professional. The outdoor patio is lovely. The food, as always, was amazing!
Though the menu has less selections than pre-Covid, the choices were excellent. It appears that care has been taken to ensure a safe dining experience.
service was excellent. pizza is a must.
incredible place in the least unimaginable place. food was OK. prices a bit high. very good service but the vibe on this place is amazing. Recommend
This is my favorite Italian restaurant in Los Angeles. The chef is amazing!
Always a good meal. Pizzas are very good. Skid Row Oasis.
These guys have created an amazing outdoor space. Dining here feels safe. Menu's are on your phone, servers wears masks and face shields, and yet the service is still warm and thoughtful. The food and service here are great as always. We love the tortellini and tortelloni and the seasonal salad is always creative and delicious.
The food was amazing and the drinks was awesome. Loved the outdoor seating and there is enough space between tables. I would love to come again
We almost felt like this was a normal date night! The wait staff all have face masks and shields at all times. The tables are set up socially distanced outside with heat lamps. The courtyard now turned outdoor restaurant is beautiful. The food was delicious! We ordered the seasonal salad with roasted squash, pomegranate and greens; drunken octopus ragu chittara pasta; classic tagliatelle al ragu Bolognese, milk-braised pork short ribs; and frozen chocolate tart. Loved the food, the service and the al fresco dining!
This is my favorite place to eat and celebrate
Everything is GREAT here, you can't go wrong.
Food, service, ambiance... all 5 stars
We will be back for more and more and more.
Outdoor patio was very nice. Staff was attentive. We ordered *almost* everything on the menu and were disappointed at most, meh at some, impressed by few. The bread with the spreads, seafood misto, and maltagliati pasta were all Overwhelmingly salty (and I tend to like salty). The snapper was fishy but the potatoes it came with were delicious. The New York steak was ordered medium but came very rare. The chicken had good flavor but was a bit rubbery. The stuffed squashini and the grilled house sausage were a complete waste of money. The highlights were the tuna tartare and the tortellini. Also the apple tart and the panda cotta were delish. Would not return here except maybe for drinks.
Horrible arrive and food was not the same.
Good times. Loved their pizzas and tagliatelle pasta.
Our waiter was the best! I forgot her name but she recommended a really good cocktail with tequila and watermelon to my friend. She was energetic and my table had good conversation with her. There was also this other waiter who brought us this delicious eggplant dish because we were served the wrong salad. He didn’t have to do that but it was a very nice gesture! Thanks for the great service and great food. Highly recommend.
The place had a nice charm or vibe to it and overall had a good time. The food itself wasn’t anything amazing and was good. The reason for 3 stars is the price for the food. I could’ve gone to eataly and paid about the same amount for better tasting food. Also note that this restaurant charges a 4% fee so the employer can pay healthcare for his back of house employees.. correction, you are paying for their benefits.
Rossoblu is a little oasis in the heart of Downtown LA, just a magical night under the patio lights, beautiful warm weather and just the perfect dinner to end a long work week. We could not asked for a better evening.
The food is so delicious and creative. We love coming to Rossoblu
Amazing as always. We had eight dishes and every one was great. The service was exceptional.
