Located in downtown’s City Market South, the site of Los Angeles’s original produce market, Rossoblu’s vaulted dining room and open kitchen create a festive dining environment. The restaurant’s private outdoor piazza allows al fresco diners to feel far removed from the nearby city bustle. An intimate basement wine cellar can be reserved for private parties.

Wonderful spacious patio with well-spaced tables. Delicious seasonal salads and pasta dishes. And the deserts and cocktails are great too. Excellent service. The larger mains looked great too, but will try that next time.
Without question one of the best meals we’ve had in years. In a foodie city, Rossoblu stands out as a restaurant worth seeking out and making time for. The staff, service, food, and wine were exceptional, and I genuinely cannot think of a single element I would change. We will be back.
This is my favorite restaurant in Los Angeles and they continue to serve absolutely delicious food. The manager and staff are unbelievably gracious and efficient. They have made modifications to the outdoor space in response to the COVID crisis and these modifications have made for an even better restaurant environment than before. It is a perfect place for your party to share lots of dishes including wonderful appetizers, amazing pastas, excellent meats and fish, and yummy pizza. I am so grateful that they have persevered through this weird COVID time and are still here providing great food and service.
We had the most delicious dinner at Rossoblu! Even though it was a Saturday night, the service was wonderful and our waitress was super attentive. We got the eggplant antipasto, pasta in brodo, charred snap peas, and a honey and spicy salami pizza - plus a few awesome drinks. I would highly highly recommend Rossoblu to anyone looking for a good meal at a fun spot. :)
Excellent. Food, Service along with the vibe outstanding.
All of the food was tepid and bland. Don’t really understand the raves the restaurant gets online. All
Of the staff were incredibly nice, so lovely and everything was clean and plated well. It just didn’t taste like anything. We ordered bread basket, seafood frito misto, ribeye ($90+), a pasta dish with mushrooms ( unremarkable, can’t remember name), and roasted cauliflower. No dusty cut flavors or tastes came through. We had leftovers but no interest in taking most of any of it home for later. Lively restaurant just unremarkable, bland and cold food. Maybe something was off in the kitchen today?
Lovely atmosphere. Food was wonderful. Service was excellent. Value…I’d say I’ve had better food for a more moderate price tag. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed it. I don’t know if I’d go back as nothing stood out…except the anchovy butter. The anchovy butter was exceptional.
Best Italian food in town! Pasta was delicious. Great outdoor dining.
We enjoyed the share plates. The food was phenomenal. The outdoor seating has a nice view and warm patio heaters. The service was exceptional.
First time here. Heard nothing but great things about it. Certainly did not disappoint. Very friendly and personable staff. Will definitely be going back soon.
Special occasion. We received excellent service. The menu choices included the freshest seasonal ingredients. The dishes we ordered were excellent. The atmosphere under the huge tented space was quite impressive and lovely.
I love this restaurant. It's worth the drive downtown from our
Excellent as always, one of my faves
Always love the Orata! Best in LA! Also appreciate the PGA tent and heat lamp at every table
While dishes are slightly on the smaller size, every vegetable and pasta dish was incredibly well seasoned and flavors were great! You can tell the ingredients are fresh and made to order. Service was top notch and the ambiance is great for a romantic dinner or night out with friends.
Treated someone for their graduation. Great service and ambience and the food was definitely fresh. Liked their spin on certain dishes to give it some extra Italian flare.
Great food - wonderful, interesting variety - great cocktails too
Had a really wonderful time. The food was terrific, the service was warm, and the outdoor dining with the large tent is spacious and fun!
Wonderful food and delightful staff. Even the salad was interesting.
Excellent in every way
Excellent food, service and awesome outdoor seating, as always. Thanks
Wonderful food and service. Cocktails were also amazing (Summer Smoke is a great choice). Everything was fresh and delicious. A surprise oasis in the middle of downtowns fashion district. We will be back. :)
We always dine at Rossoblu. With the service they always give us, all other restaurants are ruined. This is our home!
We had a wonderful outdoor dining experience! Delicious food and cocktails, great service, and effective CDC measures in place.
Nice space, very attentive service, good food, but very expensive - not quite the value that I would have expected.
The orata was a little bitter from blackened skin. Otherwise good was excellent.
Always a special treat. Best service and food in town!
Los Angeles has many good restaurants. Rossoblu is among them.
My family and I tried a number of items. All were competent.
But none was memorable.
Lovely and delicious
Amazing place in DTLA. Recommend the fish, bread, and honey pizza.
Was looking forward to our evening, but felt very rushed. Don't understand why we had to hurry and order our appetizers and food all at the same time? Our reservation was at 715 so we were there hours before closing.
Experience was a mixed bag. Great food, sub-par service. We were in the area early for a 5:45 reservation and the restaurant was pretty empty, so we asked if we could have a few drinks before our reservation time. They said that was fine and seated us. Our waitress kept pressuring us to place our entire order (apps & entrees) but we really didn’t want to be rushed and weren’t ready to eat. When we did eventually order, our apps and mains came out practically at the same time. One of the entrees was cold (the lasagna) they said they’d get us a new one, but what reappeared was the same entree with bites missing, just reheated.
One of the dessert wines was sold out, and our waitress recommended something else that totally missed the mark (different varietal, way higher proof) and was kind of snarky when I tried to send it back.
The food was tasty (pizza not as good as pasta), though the appetizer portions were on the smaller side. Would come back, but only if I was in the mood to be rushed along.
Ordered the pork meatballs, they were cold. Waiter brought another order but they were also cold. Waiter wasn’t very helpful but the manager did apologize for the problem with the meatballs
We received a warm welcome back even after one year of not dining. Everyone loves Hans for his warmth and friendliness. And the Orata fish is still to die for. Had been a pining for that for over a year. What a treat! And the newer risotto also wonderful! Spacious seating under the tent was so comfortable. So excited to be able to go back and dine frequently.
The waitress was really knowledgeable about the food and drinks, which made it easy for an indecisive person (like myself) to try something new.
The food was great, the drinks were outstanding! I will definitely be going back.
Rossoblu never fails! Love coming to this place!!!
Great dinner! Great vibe! We really liked it!
Rossoblu is one of the top restaurants in Los Angeles. It’s atmosphere and electricity are only exceeded by the quality of the fine Italian cuisine and artful service. The proprietor, Hans Luttmann, will make you feel comfortable and at home. If you skip the handmade pastas, you are missing out on one of life’s special delights. Order the bread; it’s worth the carbs. We will be back every time we come to LA.
Thank you so much for my first Post - Pandemic dinner !
Well worth the wait ~ Cheers
Absolutely fantastic food. The valet is a rip off. They park your car 10 yards from the valet stand and then charge you for it.
