Rossoblu celebrates chef Steve Samson’s two home cities, Los Angeles and Bologna, Italy. The menu features house made salumi, soulful pastas, market produce, and wood grilled fish and meats.

Located in downtown’s City Market South, the site of Los Angeles’s original produce market, Rossoblu’s vaulted dining room and open kitchen create a festive dining environment. The restaurant’s private outdoor piazza allows al fresco diners to feel far removed from the nearby city bustle. An intimate basement wine cellar can be reserved for private parties.

One of my all time favorite restaurants . The food is exceptional and the team in the dining room is warm and welcoming, they know what hospitality is about. I always look forward to being in Los Angeles and a visit to my friends at Rossablu.

The food was delicious, great time to spend time with friends and family. They let you take your own cake which is awesome and made my experience unforgettable.

We enjoyed a delightful meal with excellent customer service. The food and wine selections are bountiful and the taste of each plate was superb. Temperature and portions are spot on! The service is excellent and the team works hard to create a unique experience for each table. Well with the time to dine here.

It was our first time for our date. They were so very hospitable. We didn’t think we waited long for our food and service but they gave us treats anyways. Food is stellar like the amazing people there.

Service was exceptionally welcoming and helpful. Tried a variety of entrees: the Branzano fish was exceptional as was a “off-menu” clam appetizer was outstanding. Strongly recommend the Stracciatella and citrus to start: Creamy and citrusy and palate cleaning to prepare for flavors to come. Service was exceptionally welcoming and helpful. Fresh-made pasta gave those dishes a great “bits” and the mushroom pasta is among the best I ever had. Don’t miss having a dessert, at least to share. The watermelon gelato was truly delightful. Not inexpensive, but well-worth the value for a celebratory meal. Saw several small groups and families that were enjoying an upscale meal with artsy, open ambience.
