Though I successfully made the reservation, and received a confirmation email and reminder, this restaurant was not operating when I arrived. A heads up that they were closed would have been helpful. Will not recommend.

Loved the food and cocktails and wine. But the room was too cold and the space was way too noisy. All hard surfaces with nothing we could see that could absorb or diffuse the noise. Also, the front desk ought to have a credit card reader.

We left the restaurant and went to bar Vetti. Rosettes menu was very strange and limited for lunch. Our server was very gracious and understanding. I think the menu needs to be revised going forward. It will not attract locals like us. Sorry to be so negative about our visit.

I have the Angeleno spritz it was delicious The smoked trout was not what I anticipated I could barely tell there was fish on my plate. It was more of a charcuterie board with a couple pieces of ham.

First time ever dining here. Really impressed with everything! The decor in the restaurant and the whole building was awesome! We walked around before our reservation and looked at the gift shop and all the art. Lots of cool conversation pieces. Our hostess was really sweet and let us chose the table since we were the first dinner guests. Our server, Amber(I think) definitely offered a lot of knowledge on the food and cocktail menu since we have never been and were looking for recommendations. Octopus was by far our favorite. Steak frites were outstanding as well. I don’t remember the names of the cocktails but they were on point. Manager checked in on our table too which was a nice touch. Highly recommend all around. New place done right M

We had a lovely Monday morning breakfast. The Really Good Bacon was all that! The biscuit in the Genevieve was massive, and the Hot Madame was a delicious twist on two classics. Lovely ambiance, excellent service and comfortable seating.

Love the space, walked around before dinner and the loved the decor. Server was friendly and helpful when ordering. Food was good but I felt like the menu could have had more options. I ended up ordering the shrimp cocktail appetizer and adding the shrimp to my kale salad. The drinks were amazing. Hope to be back soon to try breakfast.

Adorable restaurant - super cute design, bright and cheerful. The food was blahhhhhhh. Sent back the quiche twice - once it was cold and slimy, once it was dry and tasteless. The quiche was made with root vegetables - completely disgusting to bite into a beet. Instead of a slice of quiche, it was two small quiche-lettes that were more crust than filling. The server was apologetic when the second quiche was sent back. Ordered a decent egg white omelette with small salad. The restaurant comped the meal. Another patron at a nearby table also had issues with her meal. Very disappointed.

Food was too fancy for its own good. If you did not enjoy Everyday kitchen you would not enjoy this. The upstairs bar/small bites Restraunt called hotel Gen. Looks like a great spot to hang and grab a drink.

The people were AWESOME and sincere. The Food TRULY HORRIBLE. And the wait time for drinks and the horrible food was soooo long. We became 'friends' with the people at the other tables around us as we were all aghast at the extreme wait times only to receive inedible foods to each of our tables. We sent back one appetizer, the octopus that our server recommended to us. It was tough, cold and one of my table mates had to leave the table to spit it out. This is the first time I have ever written a negative review. The people were WONDERFUL! THE ONLY REASON THAT WE CAME BACK is because of PAMELA, the front desk supervisor. We met her when we stopped in the previous week; looked around and had a drink on the beautiful rooftop bar. She remembered us and went out of her way to help us with our dinner reservations. She is a GEM!! Most everyone working at the hotel/restaurant/bar were very kind and seemed excited about the hotel, restaurant and roof top bar too. Please FIX your kitchen!! We love your people, the location and the look of your hotel.

Found this restaurant through instagram. Made a reservation same day easily on open table for breakfast. Located near Nulu in Downtown, Louisville. Great location with street parking. If you enter from the street, you’ll see the restaurant in front of you as you enter through the doors. Beautiful decor. A mix of modern, natural, and minimalist with pop of color. Tasteful. Service was top notch. Hostesses are very nice and complimented my outfit, which gives the best vibes, ya know! Our server made great recommendations. I enjoyed the Hot Madame, which is a delicious twist to the famous Louisville Hot Brown dish. I loved it! My partner had the traditional breakfast called the Genevieve but there isn’t anything traditional about their house biscuit. IT’S A MUST! We will definitely be coming back for lunch or dinner!

The steak frites, burger and Benedictine were very good. The spinach salad was wonderful, but the added chicken was on the dry side. We looked at the menu online and it was somewhat limited, but were pleased to find many more options when we actually got to the restaurant.

The menu is very limited to only a few items in each category. With only 3 entrees, hamburger, chicken and a pricey oxtail. It feels like a late night place for snacks not dinner.

Cute space, food is not good at all. So bland. I had the chicken, devoid of all taste and whoever came up with “killed lettuces” should be fired. The entire dish was I desperate need of salt. The Bibb lettuce salad was good, except for the random anchovies that had zero business being in a Bibb salad. Service was on par.

Overall Consensus: Pretentious. It’s a beautiful space, our waitresses was amazing- it’s very redundant that you can’t make any modifications to the food. For example, their $23-$24 burger was delicious - I had asked for an egg on top - although the waitress was more than happy to ask - the answer was likely no - then my friend asked for pickles on his burger and they told him no…. SO I’m sure you can remove things on your food, you just can’t add to it.

This is a restaurant that's still figuring things out. I plan to go back in a few months, because there are some good parts to highlight: + Ambience and decorating. It's like it was designed for influencer social media posts. + Location: Plenty to do on Market St and Downtown. Unfortunately, Rosettes needs work to match the quality of its Market St peers. - Service: our server was friendly and empathetic when things went wrong (more on that shortly). That said, timing was off. We received our appetizer and first glass of wine. Within a few minutes, the main entree arrived. The table was too small to accommodate everything. - Dinner Menu: Only 3 entree choices. Chicken, Burger, Oxtail. -> Chicken: The better of the two we tried. Chicken was perfectly cooked and served with whipped root vegetable (parsnip? can't remember). The green "vegetable" was grilled iceberg lettuce. It wasn't a good choice. The lettuce was a wilted, watery, almost slimy pile that leaked onto the plate, giving the whole dish a taste of iceberg lettuce. -> Oxtail: Tough and fatty. Sauced with a gelatinous stock (demi-glace) that had salty flavor, but was a one-dimensional blob. Needed to be integrated into an actual sauce. Oxtail, when done well, is fall-off-the-bone tender...this wasn't on that level. -> Wine: First, there are no bottle prices. We ordered a bottle of the only Red Burgundy (Pinot Noir) listed on the menu. The delivered wine was made by the same producer, but it was Beaujolais (Gamay). Generally, Beaujolais is a lesser quality wine than Red Burgundy. This was no exception. The explanation I received was, "Our distributor delivered the wrong wine and we're trying to get through these". Fine. Update your menu and don't assume people just won't notice. In short, great decor and marketing that doesn't deliver great food or experience. All sizzle, and literally no steak.
