This restaurant is a welcoming neighborhood gem. They ask for your vaccination card upon arrival, which helps to make the dining experience more relaxing. Service is attentive and the food is delicious.
I love this restaurant. The food is so good - the way dishes are spiced, prepared and cooked is terrific. The people working there are very friendly and make a point of remembering their regular customers. Hamad and Tim are two of the long term waiters and are so nice - they make me feel appreciated.
I also love me that they require vaccination proof. This is the only restaurant I feel comfortable going inside to eat.
The food was excellent! Best French restaurant in the DC area.
The outside eating was great.. with two heat lamps for our group of four. The traffic noise was a bit annoying. But the outdoor eating was worth it.
Food was excellent, but with only two waitstaff the service was slow. Took a long time for someone to take our order. Very noisy inside, which I hate. But I would go back just for the food.
This was our second recent dinner at Rosemary. On both occasions food and service were excellent, well worth the cost. This is now our neighborhood go-to restaurant. We already have another reservation.
The food was good. I have already recommended it . The service was friendly and helpful. I believe that the seasoning and portions need to better. With the small tables, I understand small plates, but not small portions. I will be back to try dinner menu.
Love the restaurant! Keep up the good work.
Excellent. We plan to return
Delicious food and great service!!
This was my first time dining there. Outstanding food and service! We ate outside, authentic French cuisine.
Escargot, moules, tarte tatin
And, they require a vax card for indoor dining.
First time we ate here indoors. At 7:45 there were few patrons so it was quiet. Can’t speak for other times if day.
Sat outside near heater - nice bistro menu with delicious food including pumpkin and onion soups, mussels, fish special, our wine was nice was refreshingly cold (perfect),
leasant and efficient service.
The food was excellent! The staff was flexible about our preference for choosing indoor or outdoor seating. I will definitely go there again.
Always a pleasure to eat at Rosemary. I’m a very satisfied customer. Tried to give five stars at the beginning of this review but it may not have registered
Great food and atmosphere.
Bday. I love this place, and they were great for my bday dinner. Small number of people, great meal, fantastic deserts, and a good bottle of wine.
Always a pleasure to eat at Rosemary. My favorite place to meet friends for lunch.
The food and service are always of the highest quality - I love this restaurant!
Great food great service.
We came for brunch. The avocado toast was amazing!! Also loved the special of the day - Asparagus Soup. Very fresh and natural tasting. We will be back for dinner. the outside dining is super cute.
This is a great casual neighborhood place. The food was very good and the service was excellent. The staff was very attentive and friendly. They have some nice outdoor seating on the sidewalk and the inside is very welcoming as well. Perfect place to meet up with a friend or enjoy a casual meal.
Simply excellent. Meat was falling off the bone on my Duck Confit. Perfectly seasoned with perfectly cooked Brussels spouts beneath. The other two in our party were similarly pleased. We went there on a whim and will go back again and again deliberately.
Delicious food, cordial service-- Chef Fred offers a great menu. Outdoor seating is noisy right on Connecticut Avenue.
Our fourth visit. Top notch. French cooking at its inventive best
Got the bottomless $38 brunch, which is an excellent deal. Servers are awfully friendly. Food comes out quickly. A true neighborhood gem. Cannot wait to frequent here more often.
We love Rosemary Bistro Café -- our group of six meet there every couple weeks or so. I especially love the wild mushrooms, and the veal cheeks. Wonderful place. The owner Frédéric is a joy to interact with, as are servers Tim, Mogi, and Nina.
Our waitress forgot one of our dinners. That was not good. We like dining outside but as the weather cools, we’ll want to dine inside and the inside if this restaurant needs freshening. The good is great and we have been there many times in the last month.
service very very slow .
waiters are very nice but the waiting to get your food takes any pleasure
We love “our” new neighborhood restaurant! The owner and staff are attentive, friendly and genuinely interested in providing excellent food and service in a fairly casual atmosphere. The menu has great options for vegetarians, vegans, and omnivores - ie, everyone in our family! And did we mention the wine and cocktails? Yum!
We have eaten here twice because it’s conveniently located near where my husband is temporarily staying. The food is ordinary and overpriced. The boeuf bourguignon and the salade nicoise in no way approach the typical style of preparation. The service is hit or miss.
Thank you for the feedback, please let us know what we could have done better. We try to keep the menu at a fair price for the neighborhood, and comparable to similar cuisine establishments in the area. However when it comes to service, we try to do our best every-time, but we're all human, and have our off days and sincerely apologize for that.
Neighborhood gem. Feels like home - if your parents are foodies.
Very good food, streets a little noisy, but very enjoyable experience
Ate outside. Not too crowded and very pleasant.
The service was wonderful and the food was delicious, I highly recommend giving Rosemary Bistro Cafe a try! I just wish I got to eat more things on the menu… I guess I will just have to go back :)
Very pleasant first visit to Rosemary Bistro, and it won’t be the last. We had Benedict dishes, but the menu is full of nice choices. The dessert menu is terrific!
Just the perfect Sunday lunch spot - we ate outside, the service was responsive without being overbearing, Hassan was very pleasant and helpful and the food was terrific! The avocado toast w salmon tartare is the perfect light meal for summer, and the crunchy toast underneath was great bc so many places give you slightly soggy bread. Nice wine and plenty of water, we had a wonderful relaxing time.
This is a great neighborhood restaurant that you can always count on.
Lovely evening on the street cafe of Rosemary Bistro. The service is attentive without being intrusive. Each dish was beautifully presented combined with each morsel being delicious! Looking forward to return this Summer.
Eating outside here on a warm night was almost unbearable. You can be either on the sidewalk or actually on Connecticut Avenue, but either way you're closed in by tarps so there is no air circulation, and it's very crowded, unattractive and noisy. The service was dreadful - orders wrong, no spoons for soup, long delays between service to different diners after wrong dish was pointed out, no bread despite two requests, then no butter, not asked about coffee or dessert (which two of us wanted) before check was brought. Instead of comping the dessert or the coffee or at least hurrying it, we had to wait another 15 minutes to get it and another 15 while the check was redone. The food is fine but pricey for the setting and the service.
