A very pleasant vegetarian middle eastern dinner. A very unexpected surprise.
Loads of vegetarian choices on a varied menu--largely organic ingredients.
Informal, neighborhood restaurant.
My wife and her friends needed a night away ... they had a great time ..
Great all around! Savory and delicious foods and great drink selections. Warm atmosphere.
Delicious and imaginative vegetarian food!
We especially liked the falafel flatbread.
Would definitely come back.
Really tasty food and great service!
Delicious food and lovely restaurant ! A gem in Rye
An elevated experience for vegetarians - which I know is sometimes hard to find. Very positive review. Food was excellent. Service superb. My wife and I usually order several things and share them. (I know, romantic but corny.) We had the five-cheese plate, assorted dip/hummus/tzatziki sauce appetizer, a soup (tomato basil) and a warm beet and goat cheese salad. We let the server select the order of service and she did a great job. There were several cheese to choose from (pick 3 or 5) and one we selected was a vegan "nut-based" option. That was probably the only thing I wouldn't recommend. It wasn't bad, I just didn't happen to find it enjoyable. Even if you're not a vegetarian, this place is delicious. That written, if you know a vegetarian (like me) and want to find a place for an up-scale dining experience, this is one of the top-ten upscale all-vegetarian places I've been to. If management is reading this and wants a suggestion for improvement ... cloth napkins. More environmentally friendly than paper and makes me feel better about spending $100 on a meal (with a couple of drinks - less tip) than paper napkins.
It was our first time at Rosemary and Vine and we absolutely loved it! Very friendly staff, nice ambiente, the food was so delicious and from the table where we were sitting we could see the chef preparing the food - wonderful experience. As it was Tuesday evening, we tried the wine flight and had an accompanying cheese board with our four glasses of wines - great opportunity to taste different wines!
Overall a very happy visit! We already made a reservation for our next evening - this time for a Wednesday night when life jazz music will be played from 7 - 9 pm. Looking forward!
We really enjoyed our meal and experience here. The food is simple but fresh and well designed menu. I had a cauliflower salad that would be better as a shared appetizer since it was cold and it was a cold night.
Winter night but it was very flavorful. My friends and husband loved the special mushroom soup and their entrees as well. It’s so great having a pleasant vegetarian place to go for a nice dinner. I will definitely return.
Intimate and cozy. Food was fresh and hot. Service just perfect. Manageable menu choices. Vegetarian.
Consistently one of my faves regardless of what I order. Everything is great!
The food is unique and delicious and the service is great. We love this place.
Very nice. Quiet enough to have a conversation - food delicious! Service friendly. Perfect for a maximum of 4-6 people.
My moms plate of food was Horrible, and the waitresses seemed Clueless. Sad we won’t be going back to a place we used to enjoy
I can’t wait to go back to Rosenary and Vine! We had the most delicious kale quinoa salad with tahini dressing, two different flatbreads (yum, mine was the falafel, soo good; husband had the ricotta and arugula, which he devoured with glee). Then we had the most delicious chocolate halvah vegan desert in the world! The wine was really good, and we really lucked out by happening to come on Live Jazz night! The sax player and keyboard man were terrific!! Sound level was perfect and we could enjoy the music and also conversation. Our server was a real gem and made our night really perfect with her expert service and kind demeanor. I already told my grown daughter we willbe bringing her next time around, soon!
Live jazz on Wednesday’s is a special treat!
Came here for a casual lunch withy Gris d. We enjoyed the food and service. I’ve been here once before and enjoyed the food and live jazz. Will return in the future .
Delicious, fresh food in a small, intimate setting.
We've been here several times because my son is a vegetarian. We are not vegetarian but I appreciate their food. My husband has a hard time with the menu and always winds up ordering hummus and a cheese board! Oh, well.
You run a class act, food and atmosphere are awesome. We can’t wait to revisit, thank YOU!!
Had a great time, dishes weee excellent though the wine selection is a bit weak.
Excellent, creative, fresh food in a warm, inviting space. Friendly staff (helpful with vegan options) and the food came quite quickly. Really enjoyed the two homemade soups: lentil with kale and mushroom; hummus with olive tapenade was among the best I've had; and the cauliflower salad was delicious -- crunchy and savory-sweet. Wine selection was great, too. It's obvious a lot of care has gone into designing the space and the menu to a high standard. I definitely want to go back and also experience the breakfast/brunch menu as well. Rye is lucky to have a restaurant like this.
Always a great meal at R&V! Love the shakshuka and the pasta dishes are always great too.
I really wanted to have a great experience here, but the service was lacking from the get go. We waited almost 10 minutes, at which point I got up to get our own menus. The service was friendly but extremely slow. I had to ask for several things, a fork, spoon and salt, all of which should’ve already been on the table. The appetizers came out pretty slow, but the wait for the main meal was excruciating. I think we waited 45 minutes for the meal to come out. No apologies or acknowledgment was made of this. The food was mediocre for the price. The zaatar potato wedges fell seriously flat with me but thankfully I could munch on a couple of the pita slices that came with my husbands black bean soup (which he was none too excited over). I think $25 (we had a gluten free bun and cheese) for a tiny black bean burger with a small salad is a bit much, thankfully it was pretty good. The vegetable pasta was also very good. We sat right by where the food came out and I must say the pizzas looked delicious. Next time (I always like to give a restaurant two tries), we’ll have the pizza and hopefully get more attentive service!
Friendly staff, good food, calming ambience. Overall pleasant experience. I would dine again.
Overpriced restarant with poor service and terrible food.
This was my second time here. The menu is limited but the selection is diverse enough for something different when you come in. The portions are good size and well presented. The one thing I can say is there is not enough bread/pita for the appetizer dips. A few more slices would do the trick. The Shakshuka and Veg Tagine are a personal favorite. Well done!
Enjoyed dinner with a close friend who is also vegetarian. Food, service and ambiance were above expectations. Will dine there again in the near future.
A nice little place that serves authentic vegetarian food. If you fancy taking a break from being a carnivore this is a place to go. I would recommend the flat breads and shakshuka.
Amazing food and great atmosphere. Service was great.
Nice neighborhood restaurant with fresh, healthful food. We had a relaxing spur-of-the-moment dinner there.
I would go again with a friend for lunch but not to meet someone for business. It's just too noisy and nothing to absorb the sound. The food is healthy but not as flavorful as I expected. I'll try something different next time as several people have recommended it to me, knowing I like to eat very healthy.
I visit often as the food is great, really nice people, and very fair price. Really healthy! Not too big portions.
Delicious and creative food . Live jazz Wed was really nice . Would come back again to explore more menu items.
I've dined here a few times. I am not vegetarian (my son is vegan so it's really good for him). I have liked pretty much everything I've had here but I don't dream about it, if you know what I mean!
Always a pleasure to eat there: good food (really great flat bread), excellent Jazz, hipp environment, friendly service - what else do you wish for?
Appetizers were so small that it appears to be just tasting portions at a very high price. Main dishes of Pasta were good and proper size helping. Basic décor and ambiance.
Food is outstanding. Cannot praise the menu enough.
Service is just passable—the server forgot to take one of our entree orders . When we called her back she said “then what is it”.
Also had to flag her for refills for drinks
If you can be mellow and ignore waitstaff you are in for delicious and creative meal
Food was great and healthy.
Civilized for a business conversation.
Service was a little slow after meal was served, but manager kept eye out and prompted staff.
Environment was modern and comfortable.
