Impeccable service; outstanding food. An overall great dining experience.
Food was excellent and the service fantastic
For $200 all I received was a stomach ache for 2 days.
I was introduced to this restaurant five years ago and I’ve been coming back every year. This trip l had the Brick Roasted Chicken and Beet Salad. Both went above my expectations and l was surprised to how much I could eat with such large portions. The flavors were sensational. This location is the best and remains consistent with exceptional service, taste, presentation of their dishes, and leaving a memorable impression when you leave.
Great waiter! Great food! We will be back!
One oif the most highly rated steak places, it lived up to its name. Tasty steak, and my wife enjoyed her lasagna. Great location, near Michigan Avenue, but quiet. Great choice for a special occasion, or just dinner.
Had a wonderful dinner solo. Great cocktails and food. My steak was cooked PERFECTLY (ordered Medium Rare...got Medium Rare).
The food is always ok, but the servers are never great.
Celebrated my mother's birthday in style! The staff treated her (and all of us) with warmth and happiness. PAUL IS GREAT! Excellent, luxurious food. We will be back.
Rosebud Steakhouse is our go to best steak in Chicago. Never been disappointed in food or service
Very good meal. Excellent service. Delicious food. I had the lobster bisque and my daughter in law and a friend had the calamari. Lasagna, steak, fish were all delish. Quite honestly it started out noisy as hell, and I could barely hear the people at our table. As it cleared out a little, it was delightful. I liked our waiter and he was very attentive, but we struggled to understand each other some. Be ready to spend a bundle ... about a day's wages.
The Steaks where not that good cooked properly but the quality of steak was not worth the money. Actually all the food sides and all just where not what we expected. Very disappointed, will not go back.
Old school Chicago steakhouse. Start with the Bisque and order a bone on steak. Also the truffle tots!
The restaurant was very nice....we did need to wait for about 10 minutes to have our waiter come to our table to take our drink order. He explained that it was very busy, but it didn't really seem that way, although he was certainly a very nice guy, very busy acting....maybe just not that effective. We were in Chicago for a vacation, and the restaurant was about a block down from our hotel, The Drake.
Great food and customer service.
Let me start off by saying the sevice was excellent! The valet driver was incredible my sister was lost and he did everything to help her find her way. Steak price not a good value for the size (portion)of the steak.
I sat at the bar and service was fabulous
We come here when we want a special evening. It was perfect as always.
The food was excellent with a nice mix of Italian and steak choices. The service was efficient but not very warm or friendly. I had the Rosebud lasagna and it had great flavor with a good sauce. The food portions are generous.
This is a restaurant in our neighborhood, we decided to try. Decor is older steakhouse, noise level at about 75% table capacity was conversationally challenging. Service started slow but the pace picked up as we placed our food order. I started with the lobster bisque (one of my favorite starters). Taste was much like a tomato bisque with a small amount of lobster stirred in. Wife started with a house salad and commented it was mostly a slightly bitter tasting lettuce with little else, making it unimaginative.
Main course for me was a medium rare filet mignon accompanied by grilled asparagus. While steak was cooked perfectly the outer sear was borderline burnt. I prepare filets regularly and the overall taste of this steak was just off. The asparagus was slightly over cooked leaving it somewhat limp.
Wife ordered the sea scallops and asked that the spring pea purée under the scallops be eliminated, or a substitute offered as she doesn’t like peas at all. Upon presentation, the substitution - regular peas! Seriously! Not very creative from the chef or sous chef.
Overall dining experience here was underwhelming. We dine out frequently and think we will just leave this restaurant to the tourists.
Been here many times. It never disappoints. Try the veal chop if you want something different from their excellent steaks.
First time and one word sums it up Outstanding!! Just a quintessential steakhouse with great food, service and character. Highly recommend
Went with 10 people for my son's HS graduation. We arrived with 2 extra people and they were very accommodating. Food and service were excellent. Classic Chicago steakhouse in an un-pretentious setting. We had a lot of fun!
great food, excellent service... really enjoyed our night out.
Excellent. Delicious. Classy. Warm. Traditional and not.
Although we made very clear that my wife did nothing t wat garlic and onions her dish contained spinach with chunks of garlic. Although the staff seemed otherwise attentive this was a big miss. They comped us our San Pellegrino which hardly seemed adequate for such a huge mistake.
Our waiter Frank was a true professional, knowledgeable and attentive. The food was top notch, one of the best steaks we had ever had. Would make a point to return next time in Chicago.
Annual dinner, good food, service and quality foods!
One of our favorite places to eat when we come to Chicago. Catie was great servicing our table.
Great place for a group dinner. Had no trouble getting in with a group of six. Really enjoyed the food and it was easy to hear conversation.
We had an early reservation. Service was good and the food was great.
Restaurant was freezing cold. Food was dry and cold as well. Not to mention way over-priced considering all of the other amazing restaurants in Chicago. Won’t be returning.
Wonderful! Salads perfect, steaks perfect! Dessert perfection! Also our waiter was outstanding! Such a wonderful evening and awesome dining experience!
Always excellent food, service and atmosphere.
One of Chicago’s best steakhouses. No need to go to Rush St.
Went for Mother's Day dinner with wife and 3 teenage children. Restaurant basically wedged a table for 5 in between 2 large groups and the walkway to the kitchen.
Needless to say my family was getting constantly bumped into by waitstaff or customers - with no room for us to move away further from walk traffic. Made the dining experience unmemorable and annoying.
Also, they brought out my order of a medium delmonico medium rare, more rare. Brought back to kichen and charred the hell out of the steak to a medium. Don't really like the taste of charcoal.
When brought to attention of manager our experience of getting bumped constantly by traffic during dinner, he seemed rather annoyed explaining "sorry sir, it is a busy night". Busy doesn't mean wedge a table in the highest traffic area and make the dining experience miserable.
Manager offered to comp dessert bill but wound up comping only half the dessert. After that, just wanted to get out of there.
Sons 33 birthday & Mother’s dau
Our 1st time there and it was amazing too!
Mother’s Day lunch. It was wonderful.
Very disappointed. The food quality is too low at
Mother’s Day with the daughters. We love Rosebud and the entire Carmine’s chain. We eat there virtually every time we go to Chicago. Given my bride only ever gets flat noodles, it is a bit pricey, but we will honestly say they never disappoint!
