The food was terrible and way over priced for what we got. Our food was cold and the fish was under cooked. The béarnaise sauce I got on my Steak Oscar was not béarnaise sauce at all. It was more like a very thick, flavorless gravy. I am a person who loves good food and have no problem paying for it, but this was not even slightly good. I will not eat here again nor will I refer this to anyone I know.

I had the bone in rib eye cut, and bacon cheddar mash potatoes. Both was incredible the steak was cooked perfect and the flavor insane. So good and the bacon cheddar cheese potatoes that's always good anywhere. Pretty hard to screw that up.

Everything was perfect! Our server, Paul, was very professional and awesome. The food was great and the ambiance perfect. Cant wait to return.

The Rosebud Steakhouse has, without question, the best french onion soup on the planet. I thought mine was good, now I will have to rethink everything. Great waiter and supporting staff, amazing food, right next to the hotel. This was the second time going, every bit as good. Every time I go to Chicago, Rosebud will be on the to-do list. I ended up getting a case of the bottle of wine I had - wine list is extensive and well-curated.

Doesn't get the press of some of the newer steakhouses but boy is it good. And every time!

My 60th Birthday

Arrived early for our reservation and was seated promptly. I had the filet, a tad overdone but still very tasty. My wife had the flounder and she loved it. The environment was nice, although the chairs weren't terribly comfortable.
The service was just right, not too much but there when you needed it. I have been to several of Rosebuds restaurants before, but never their steakhouse. It did not dissappoint.

Spectacular service & food! Our waiter, Eddie was informative, helpful, personable, & very friendly yet professional! Phenomenal steaks, delicious sides, & large shareable portions.

Herrlich „oldschool“ - von der Einrichtung über den typisch italienischen, sehr freundlichen Kellner bis hin zum Servieren am Tisch. Nichts für jeden Tag, nicht preiswert aber den Preis wert!

Service and food were great. We asked for and were given a quiet table.

Steak was cooked perfectly and was very flavorful. Loved the Bordeaux sauce on the side. Minestrone soup was delicious!

Food was cold, service was ok. For a 300. meal it was really disappointing.

Rosebud Steakhouse is one of my favorite's spots for two reasons: happy hour drinks and prices + specials. I work by the water tower and many times me and my coworkers are coming to this location for couple of drinks after work. Most of the times we order something to eat. My friends are usually order those huge burgers since we're usually seat at the bar but I love to try new things so specials are my thing. Recently I've noticed big variety of their special's menu which I love to try and the prices are pretty good. Every single special I've tried, is amazing.
Bar is getting busy almost everyday with the happy hour drinks and prices so sometimes we have to take a table which is fine. Bar service and the table servers are always very friendly. The new managers, I think they are all of them greeks and I guess very welcoming cause of their DNA!
Definitely it's our weekday's spot. Well done!

Rosebud Steak is a neighborhood gem, just steps from the Drake and several other hotels.
Not as noisy or crowded as the bigger name steak house. We have always been able to get
a reservation.

Services was very friendly with no rush to order, menu had a nice selection of fish as well as steaks. The banana desert was a nice finishing touch.

Always a great meal with great service. Never disappoints.

Lovely meal and was lucky enough to get some street parking!

Love everything about this restaurant! We will be back in May.

This is my second visit to Rosebud Steakhouse. On my first visit, we enjoyed the best dry aged steak I’ve ever had. The specials were exceptional and the service was, as well. On this visit, I was disappointed to find no dry aged steaks on the menu. The appetizers were fairly pedestrian. The service was still top notch. In a market as saturated with great steak restaurants as Chicago, I won’t be returning to Rosebud since they no longer offer the exceptional steaks that I expect, especially for the money, in Chicago.

Firstly, perfectly seasoned and cooked steak. One of the best I have eaten in Chicago or anywhere. Kitchen gets a huge recommend. However the service from our waiter was perfunctory. We spent $200 on food but chose our own wine, waiter was unhappy and was a little short when I asked for some salt (for my fries!) he said 'taste it first' in a blunt manner. We had to ask 3 times for the bill as he was upselling an expensive wine to another couple. That's business I suppose, come for the steak, hmmm for the service.

The atmosphere was casual/formal, but I felt very relaxed and at home. It was a loud environment, don't go here if your looking for quiet restaurant. Waiter took pride in trying to pair a meal to each individual preference. The food was well prepared, very delicious, steaks prepared perfectly. Good portions, well timed service, food was brought out as we ate through the appetizers, meal, and desert. My guests were very impressed by the experience and referenced the restaurant to others as a place to go to when in Chicago...

Great dinner for our group celebrating work success. Filet was outstanding. Our gluten free member had multiple options and was very happy with her meal. Outstanding service and great ambiance. Definitely on the list of do-overs. First time there. We were not disappointed!

This is a neighborhood favorite and a "go to" restaurant that never disappoints. Good food, a warm atmosphere and attentive service.

Absolutely delightful experience. The ambiance was romantic, the service went above and beyond our expectations. The flavors of the scallop appetizer and coconut shrimp appetizer were amazing and the presentation was just as amazing. Our filet was perfect, and broccoli augration was a hit. They know how to make a tasty brandy oldfashion.....or two. Definite must go to. We look forward to going back🍽🔪🥂🥃

I think it was just a off night for the server, but the service was lack luster at best. Hoping for a better experience next time. The food was fabulous though.

Food is amazing and service was great....very noisy and we were jammed together in a very small area, no privacy.

I needed a table for one and it was a nice table, not in a solo corner. Attentive service, good advice to help me with ordering. Very nice pasta and chopped salad. I don't drink wine and the coffee and water service were generous. Dessert wasn't rushed and felt welcome to enjoy. From previous visits I know the wedge salad and burgers are always good, and steaks are their thing. Key Lime pie is good enough to take some home!
