Best twice baked potatoes ever! Petite filet was actually quite large. As first time diners, we enjoyed our time there.
Outside of the busboy taking my date’s filet mignon away from her before she had finished it (and then not giving us the chance to tell him to put it back down on the table), we had a good experience
The chicken Parmesan was excellent, huge portion. The staff is very attentive.
Great special destination and great neighborhood favorite.
Thank you for making the experience wonderful. with professional service!!
The steak was delicious and the service very good.We thought it was a bit pricey for the quality.
Everything good. Steak was not the best
They played great music, the burger, pappardelle and cannolis were all amazing!
The food was outstanding and our server, Eddie was a lot of fun and very attentive.
The service was excellent, from the m’aitre d who sat us a quiet table, and our waiter who made excellent suggestions for food and wine. We will visit again soon.
We had wedge salads that were very fresh my wife enjoyed her white fish and my veal parm was the size of my plate and very tender. Service was good and we had a very pleasant evening
A coworker and I came here for Restaurant week. The food was simple but done exceptionally well and the service was perfect- attentive without being annoying. Their restaurant week menu was also a great value.
Arguably the best steakhouse in the nation. The steak is the best I've ever had. Dave, my Waiter and the maitre'd were fantastic. I recommend you request the Frank Sinatra table.
The Rosebud on Walton is such a great restaurant-they have a vast and varied menu (seafood, shellfish, meat, pasta) and every time I’ve been here, the exceptional service and quality of food has never disappointed. Last Saturday was no exception. Bravo Rosebud on Walton
Premium elegant restaurant very pleased the food exceeded my expectations
The food was fantastic, and the Chef handled my complicated food allergies with expertise! We have since gone back several times, and one of the waitresses remembered our entire order from our prior visit, which is what we ordered again because it was so great, (one dish was steak, the other scallops).
Excellent food and service. Server and staff were very friendly and accommodating. Food and wine were excellent.
staff was very in touch and pleasant. Busy but always stayed close.
Eddie is a wonderful server...helpful and knowledgeable but not intrusive. As always, our meal was well paced and wonderful. A neighborhood gem!
An excellent meal with great service. The restaurant is a little crowded but this is a classic Chicago spot and our family of 4 enjoyed our meal. Our 16 year old ordered the Delmonico steak since he wanted a large steak. It did not disappoint. The scallops were cooked perfectly too. To highlight our meal, Chance the Rapper and his wife were enjoying their dinner there as well.
Crowded so badly people were hitting my chair every 4 minutes. Disappointing
Great service, wonderful staff and food and atmosphere were excellent
I was extremely disappointed from the moment I walked in the door.
What was supposed to a wonderful Christmas dining experience was the worst dining experience I have ever encountered.
I regret ever making this reservation. I highly recommend that you do not dine here! I have never left a negative review on Opentable in my nine years as a member.
Enjoyed a festive, delicious Christmas dinner at Rosebud Steakhouse. The place was jumping but still had great service. The portions were huge so there were leftovers coming home.
My husbands steak was not prepared Med plus. It was med rare. They took it back and cooked it to well done. To check it they sliced it almost in half before bringing it to the table. I wished I had taken a picture. Of course it was dry and tough by then. I was done with my meal and he was just frustrated and wanted to leave. They did comp the steak but we were surprised at how it was handled. If you are a steakhouse, you should know better.
This place never disappoints on Thanksgiving or Christmas. We love the intimate space, warm atmosphere and great food and drink. Highly recommend it.
This is one our favorite restaurants and it was so nice to be able to take the whole family there for Christmas dinner.
Pre-cut, bland tenderloin and mushy cauliflower not what I was looking forward to. Room Temperature well into the 80s was sweating through our meal. This experience was NOT up to Rosebud standard that we are accustomed to. With all the great steakhouses in Chicago, sad to say, we will not be returning to Rosebud.
Excellent Christmas Eve dinner!! We will be back soon and it will also be our new Xmas eve tradition!
Signiture bone in fillet with mushrooms was cooked perfectly.
One of our go to places for viewing sports and a truly fine meal as well. Great steaks. The Salmon Piccata is not on the menu anymore but just ask - they will prepare it for you. It's the best in the city. We prefer bar seating to watch Hawks, Bulls, etc with especially friendly bartenders. And they finally got the music right!
Food was OK.
I had prime rib. Saturday special. I eat prime rib a lot. We have ir almost every weekend in Northrn Wisconsin, near our lake house.
The prime rib at Rosebud was a 5 compared to the 10 we get in Wisconsin. And in Wisconsin we pay about 2/3 less money. Also we are not crammed into a tiny area where it is so tight and noisy you can not talk.
I don't have to go back to Rosebud. Way too much money for what you get.
We arrived on time for our reservation and needed to wait 5 minutes to check in. We were asked to go to the bar to wait. We waited 30 minutes and we still hadn't been seated. We asked to speak to the manager because it was taking so long. A few minutes later, we were seated. Our waiter was very nice.
We ordered drinks and our dinners. While we were waiting, we noted that everyone around us had a basket of bread, breadsticks, etc. on their tables. We never were offered any. We tried to get the attention of the employee who seemed to be in charge of this, but he didn't come near our table, which was a bit hard to get to as it was in the corner. When our steak and scallops arrived (very good), we inquired why we hadn't received the aforementioned basket--our waiter did bring one, but it was really too late as we were going to eat our dinners. Not the worst visit in the world, but not one we'd repeat.
As an aside, the manager never stopped by the whole evening.
Old-world style combined with impeccable service. Every visit is even better than the last.
First time dining in this location. They did not disappoint. I varied off the menus a little and they didn’t blink an eye. Will go back for sure.
Lovely evening. Seated promptly and served efficiently. Wait staff was attentive but not overly so. Food was well-prepared although my steak was a little undercooked. Still, very enjoyable. Will definitely go again.
Food and service were excellent! We were completely satisfied with the evening.
One of my favorite places. Food, service, ambience. it's got it all. Can't visit Chicago without an evening @
the Rosebud Steakhouse!
We have dined at Rosebud Steakhouse several times and the food is always excellent. This night was no exception.
