For nearly 50 years, Alex Dana’s Rosebud Restaurants have set the standard for Italian fare in Chicago. Rosebud Randolph will be Alex Dana’s 9th location, featuring a 3-level space including a rooftop, located in Millennium Park.
A 3% Surcharge will be added to every check. We will be happy to remove this by request.

This restaurant is one of several Rosebud locations in the Chicago area and is a block off Michigan Ave. The atmosphere is low-key but elegant and the service was outstanding. But of course, the main thing is the food was excellent with very generous proportions. Highly recommend the Rosebud on Randolph.

The portions were large, but adequate for the price. Waiter had an attitude and did not make us feel welcome. Not that he was bad, but not from what I would expect for the price. The 3% upcharge was unexpected as well Cannot recommend to my friends. Sorry.

I was pretty disappointed to be honest. I brought my daughter and seven friends there for her 14th birthday. I noted that on the reservation and called the morning of and they did absolutely nothing for the birthday. Not a piece of cake not a candle. Food was mediocre at best. I found myself asking for bread and refills multiple times so overall not a great experience I’ll never go back

It was an outstanding experience start to finish. We brought two bottles of wine. Our server was thoughtful to let us use a decanter. The food was fresh. Water was always refilled. And we ended with two delicious desserts!

The food was delightful, but the service was terribly off. Took forever to get our drinks and then our order was taken all at once with no pacing. Worst thing - next to our table on the floor, in very plain view, was a hair scrunchie and toothpick which was never picked up the entire time we ate. And no, it was not busy. As a matter of fact, there were plenty of moments we notice staff shooting the breeze and not picking up dirty plates either. Water was filled when we sat down and never again.

One of the best restaurants I have been to where you can have a conversation with your guests and easily hear them. The acoustics were great. The service was excellent. And the food was very good.

They have a nice wine selection. There are also a lot of options for vegetarians on the menu. We were disappointed in their one check policy per table. We asked that they divide the check into two checks for 7 people.

Server Luis was very friendly, great guy overall. Food was delicious, my girlfriend loved it and I did as well. She ordered the cheese ravioli and I had the meat lasagna, both delicious. Music was a little bit to loud though.

I ordered the cheeseburger Medium rare …. It was well-done. We asked the waiter for separate checks and he said it wasn’t possible, so he split it in 1/2! I ended up paying for part of my friend’s dinner. We’ll never be back!
