Rosebud Prime Ratings and Reviews
The food was amazing and the atmosphere was outstanding. Our table placement was mediocre as I felt that we were sat in the middle of an aisle and there was constant traffic. Other than our table every seat in the place was great. Live piano and full bar. The service was outstanding.
I was not pleased with my food I asked for medium well the steak came back over well done, burnt. I initially thought I would’ve getting the porterhouse with the Valentine’s Day special, but they ran out so they offered us two pieces of small burnt steak instead. I would not recommend this restaurant. I did not enjoy my food at all. The waiter also acted as if it was a hassle when I asked for simple things like a refill on water.
We had amazing steaks after taking in the matinee .
Our waiter was superb- made sure we were not rushed - and even brought out a new onion soup when my son had to leave the table for a business call.
Professional service and top notch food- highly recommended.
Bone in. Filet .... yum
Our group of 6 went after a theater performance and had a wonderful experience. The conversation was easy to hear and the service was phenomenal. Our waiter offered wine pairings and was very attentive to our 2 younger daughters. The food was amazing, plentiful and very well seasoned. While a little higher on the price end, we will come again for another special occasion. The experience was so amazing my MIL hugged the waiter when we left.
We ate here before the theater. Menu had lots of vegetarian options as well as meat options, so our table was happy. Food was served in a timely manner, we never felt rushed to finish our meal. Even had time for dessert! Food was good and plentiful, so much that we had enough left over for another meal each. The servers were attentive and friendly, even offering to keep our left overs in the fridge there while we went to the theater.
While the food & service were excellent, I was very disappointed that Rosebud Prime did not offer anyone their restaurant week menu. The whole point of making my reservations there was for the restaurant week menu (which I even added in the comments when making my reservation). The waiter came to our table 4-5 times without once even mentioning it, I had to ask! What's the point of participating in restaurant week if you're not even going to notify your guests in any way.
There were problems with Rosebud. The seat I had was crowded up against the side wall and I could hardly get into it. My halibut was really not good. It was overcooked and the top of the fish was like a hard shell. The food came too late- we had to get to a show and told them that when we arrived, but the food took an hour to arrive. The steaks were good, however. And our server was very nice and also apologetic about how long the wait was.
I dined there because it was close to the Hamilton play! It’s a stone throw away from the venue. I was disappointed with my reservation, I was celebrating a birthday. I communicated this on the reservation and followed up with a phone call. I was told that there was nothing else that I needed to do. Unfortunately it was never recognized by the staff as promised!
The food was good and the wait staff was attentive.
From the beginning they waiters and servers made the day special. Acknowledging our special occasion multiple times from different people made a huge difference. Our server made recommendations that best fit our meal choices and was even kind enough to take our picture to commemorate the the experience. All in all, the food was cooked to perfection, the staff went above and beyond and everything was reasonably priced for the quality of everything. Highly recommend! We will return!
The server (Jarvis) wasn’t at all familiar with the restaurant week menu and didn’t seem happy when we asked for it. It took a long time for our drinks and the wrong ones were delivered. We had to tell the server who go what. This was true for the salads, too. My filet was just okay. I ordered medium rare. Meat was pink but not rare and tough. Mashed potatoes were cold and we were the first ones in the restaurant. I ordered chocolate gelato and my friend ordered salted caramel. When I asked he switched with my friend who ended up with vanilla. I didn’t want to make a fuss with my friends.
Some colleagues of mine and I came here for lunch. The first thing the waiter did was ask how much time we had to dine and we were very clear to say only an hour. He then proceeded to ignore us for about 20 minutes which of course made us rush through our meal in order to get back to the office on time. If you’re thinking of going here during your lunch hour, do yourself a favor and find somewhere else to have lunch.
I really can't recommend this restaurant. The food was not good. I had prime rib which I ordered medium rare. They served me the end piece of the prime rib which was well done. My husband ordered the sea bass. The fish seem to be old and tasted funny. Our waiter was standoffish. All in all it just wasn't a very good experience, and I would not ever go again.
Wasn’t impressed- told them it was our anniversary and we didn’t get a dessert or even “happy anniversary “-
Every thing is ala carte
Husband had prime rib very delicious
I had spaghetti and meatballs just fair - waiter was young and inexperienced not attentive nor was anyone else.
Bathroom is located up a staircase almost didn’t want to have to make the trip! But it was a long ride home.
Very conveniently located to theater saw Hamilton
We went to rosebud on a Sunday at noon before seeing Hamilton. At first we were a little disappointed that it was a limited menu with no fish options. Our waiter said he could provide us with some fish options and we got a whitefish and sea bass that were perfectly done. You must get the Brussel sprouts with bacon. Delicious!
The 10oz filet was tender and amazing. My friend had the special, Lobster risotto and the lobster tail on the risotto was huge. We enjoyed the jalapeño hash browns and brought leftovers home for breakfast. The creamer spinach wasn’t like your grandmother’s-so much better! Our server was knowledgeable and took good care of us!
