Rosebud Prime is a fantastic place to eat. It’s very quiet with a lovely decorated interior. Upon arrival, we were greeted by several very friendly people. We were seated at a very nice booth - they even pulled out the table slightly so we could get into our seat. A super nice gesture. Our server was attentive and awesome... he was very helpful with our questions about the menu and drinks. He took our drink order and brought delicious warm assorted breads to nibble on. Our drinks were delicious. We ordered the steak with two sides- all were excellent. Then topped our meal off with a large portion of creamy, very flavorful and delicious Key Lime Pie. Our decision to try out Rosebud Ptime was a good one. We will definitely go back. A great place to dine before attending a play.
Outstanding meat. They get their beef from Linz and it is all wet aged. Best in the city right now.
Excellent service. Steaks and brussel sprouts were divine. We will definitely come back the next time we're in town!
Quiet very adequate
Food and service was great. Can’t wait to go back!!!!
Food was excellent, service was nicely paced, and my group especially enjoyed that we could converse at normal volume. It was overall a really fun night.
Dinner was fantastic and service was phenomenal! We really enjoyed our meal and time together there. The only thing that was a bit annoying was that we were seated near the kitchen and I was bumped quite a few times by servers. The resta
Outstanding cocktails! Great atmosphere and delicious food! Only negative is we were told it would take up to 45 minutes for a side dish of a baked potato. So we went without.
Service was awful. 6 servers standing around constantly talking and acting unprofessional. Sat around for 30 minutes just waiting to pay with empty plates in front of us! Food was decent but not good enough to bring my wife and I back. Wouldn’t recommend
The food wasn't to my liking. I ordered the Angry shrimp, it was on a bed on mash covered with some tangy sauce. The sauce threw off the whole dish, however the shrimp size and taste were pleasing. I also, ordered the lobster mac, that lacked lobster and seasoning. I honestly must say the sides weren't the best but the meats were fantastic!
Valentine day date was everything my lady and I hoped for.
The service was fantastic- everything was timed, classy, and smooth; our waiter was excellent- knowledgeable and helpful, and always there at the right time, but never too much or too little; and they were playing deep house music in the background which made my night!!!! Same great service for a drink at the bar before seating... which tells me overall service is on point, with well trained and happy staff.
The restaurant has the best serving staff in the world. I would advise you stick with the steaks or salads because anything else is bland, overpriced, and not worth it. Be careful with valet parking, on their account it says $14 for up to 3 hours. This, however is not true. It is a $18 flat fee, cash only. Don’t trust the description or specials on their profile. Overall, it was a good experience but the small details are the things that got to me.
Maybe it was an off night , but service was very slow and food was just good , not outstanding
Excellemt restaurant, ideal for business dinners. Have the signature bone in filet - it was cooked perfectly! Great wine list is reasonable priced with good solid selection. They also have valet parking!
Maybe for lunch. I was there in Sunday 2.8, the last day of Chgo Restaurant WeekI paid an extra $25 for bone in rib eye. The steak itself was simpky not a premium piece if meat and therefire the flavor wss just not there as good steak would taste. We had to order mushrooms and the waiter brought some au jus but that didnt help. Very disappointed in the quality of
if the steak.
Wonderful food & service.
Had dinner before attending the symphony and told the waiter we had to leave in a very brisk 45-50 minutes to make the performance. Not only did they accommodate this without any fuss, but my date and I, who don’t drink alcohol in the first place, decided to split a single main course because it was so large, and they treated us with the same care and service as if we ordered a filet each and a high priced bottle of wine. You don’t see that too often in big cities and their staff deserves commendation for their kind and first-rate service.
Both food and service were excellent. We visited during restaurant week to "sample" . We will be back in the future.
Such a wonderful experience. We came down to the city for a taping of Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me & came here for dinner first. We were treated so well the whole time. It was Chicago Restaurant Week so there was a special menu. It was amazing. Started with a superb jalapeno roasted corn chowder, entree was perfectly done scottish salmon w/creamed spinach & finished with sweet crispy cannoli. Portion sizes were generous but not so much you couldn't enjoy the next course. Partner had teriyaki salmon & roasted broccoli. Very good. Look forward to coming back.
excellent staff and excellent service loved the food .
Slightly disappointed with my New York Strip and my mashed potatoes. The potatoes were warm, not hot and my New York Strip tastes like it was cooked on a grill that had blue cheese on it. I’ve been to the restaurant before and likely will go again, but this wasn’t my best visitb
We had a wonderful time. The food & drinks were amazing, definitely recommend the firecracker pork chop and the mac and cheese. Tom was an awesome waiter! The atmosphere is so warm and cozy. Also the Host was so polite, sorry didn't get his name. I really can't wait to go back again!
The service is always great. The food is solid. Nice atmosphere.
Steak was luke warm, mashed potatoes were cold. At the time of our reservation, 7:15; there were only 3 other tables taken so very confused on why food would be cold. Server forgot our Mac and Cheese and was finally brought out 3/4 way through the meal. Overall I will not be back to this location.
Rosebud Prime made for an overall delightful evening.
I had never been and was curious to check it out.
The food did not disappoint.
The place was quite smaller than I imagined and the ambiance was "fine", but nothing spectacular.
If I happen to be in the neighborhood, I could see myself poppin' in again, but not sure I would head this way for a special occassion.
The service and food were good and overall, that is what is most important!
You know what you are getting in a Rosebud product and that is quite comforting.
Great service & ambience!
I take a client to this restaurant periodically and they treat us like family. The service and food is outstanding.
Great service and food as usual.
Excellent service and lunch at a Chicago standard before theater. Caprese salad, grilled asparagus, and Chicken Parmesan were winners. Tiramisu definitely worth it!
Waiter (Gus) was outstanding. Very knowledgable, very personable. Service was quick and food was great. Ribeyes, filets, sea bass, salmon were all served at the table and everyone was pleased with their entree.
We wanted to get something to eat before going to CBIC Theatre.
It worked out great.
The BEST theatre restaurant (or fine dining restaurant) in the loop!
It was a girl’s trip to meet in Chicago to see Hamilton!
This is and amazing restaurant. It is not overly large and tables and booths are far enough apart so you don’t feel like you’re dining with strangers. The food is exceptional and portions are very large. Service was outstanding and the staff very attentive without rushing or hovering. One of my favorites.
Was amazing me and the wife had a great time thank you!
Went on a double date for NYE dinner and Rosebud did not disappoint! Everything was phenomenal from the food and ambience to their service. Our waiters name was Webster and he was fantastic! He made excellent food suggestions and treated us so kindly. Our table had a little of everything which included: Chicken Parmesan, Bone- In Rib Eye, Filet Minon, Baked Mac and Cheese, Brussel Sprouts w/ Bacon, Lobster, and Jalepeno Hashbrowns. Everything tasted amazing. 10/10 hands down. I will definitely be returning and this place has easily made it to my “top 10 restaurants” list.
We came for New Year's Eve. No wait, good service, fine food!
this is a steakhouse that can hold the standard on how to prepare a good steak. their steaks are cooked perfectly without being burnt to a char on the outside and raw on the inside. the service is wonderful and the room a classy ambiance.
The only negative was the placement of our table. It seemed to be put in an “intersection” of a busy area. Took away a bit of the intimacy.
