Rosebud on Rush Ratings and Reviews
Rosebud on Rush is like going to Grandma's for Sunday dinner. It is warm and cozy, and the smell of garlic and warm bread wafts in the air. You will be served delicious Italian food. No one is stuffy, and you will be sent home with lots of leftovers. The ambiance is simple, but nice.
I highly recommend the Burrata, the Shrimp Milanese, the Veal Parmegian, and the MEATBALLS!!!
I reserved a table at Rosebud for Valentine's Day and was very pleased with the experience. Food was absolutely fantastic, the staff made excellent recommendations and certainly had a great knowledge of the menu.
I highly recommend Rosebud if you are looking to treat someone to a nice dinner!
This was my first visit here.
I came here because of their high Yelp rating and the proximity to my hotel. The Rosebud group has eight restaurants in the area.
I had a reservation for two at 6pm. I started with a special blood orange margarita with salt for $12. Our cocktails were served almost immediately. I was impressed by their bar turn around time. I ordered the pappardelle Bolognese for $22, which was a huge family style serving. I was glad I did not fill up on an appetizer prior to my entree. I enjoyed my entrée, but, was barely able to finish it. There was too much to eat. The lasagna entrée was also just as large.
I also ordered a second margarita and bottle of Monsanto Chianti for $55.
Misel did an excellent job to serve our table needs. My total bill less gratuities was $159. I would definitely return here again.
With two business associates who had not visited Rosebud before. They very much enjoyed it. Food, drinks, service was excellent. As somewhat of a hometowner ( Northern IN) , I inherited the left overs for all providing a wonderful second meal for my wife and I.
Between 2 of us, we started with the grilled calamari and meatballs. For the main course we had shrimp alfredo and filet mignon with the picata preparation. Everthing was absolutely delicious! The calamari could easily serve 3-4 people. I also ordered the ceaser salad, however the waiter cautioned that i may be over ordering. He suggested to start with the appetizers and then decide on the salad. He was right, I skilped the salad. I commend him for the suggestion. Although quite satisfied, we couldn't keep ourselves from ordering the tiramisu and chocolate cake which were out of this world! Each could seve 3-4 people. We shared with a group next to us (whom we knew). An absolute wonderful culinary experience.
Restaurant needs to update its decor. I sat on a wobbly chair, which I thought may break underneath me. Brunch is unspectacular. Need more creative dishes to inspire people to come back. Disappointing. I’ve come here periodically for years and it hasn’t changed with the times.
Overall a good experience. However, because of short staffing and a party of 13 in my waiter’s station (plus a number of other tables), it took an exceptionally long time to get a glass of wine, a salad, and a pasta item. It was NOT the waiter’s fault. The food was good and I was by myself and not in any hurry, so it worked out.
