Rosebud on Rush Ratings and Reviews
Overall a good experience. However, because of short staffing and a party of 13 in my waiter’s station (plus a number of other tables), it took an exceptionally long time to get a glass of wine, a salad, and a pasta item. It was NOT the waiter’s fault. The food was good and I was by myself and not in any hurry, so it worked out.
Not happy with seating arrangement, 5 people upstairs in the corner, really tight space , despite making reservation a week before, asked for booth.
Lobster ravioli very expensive, was not tasteful.
Ordered Kids portion pasta, was charged full prize. Kids menu should be available.
Our waitress was the best and I am sorry I do not have her name. Pretty lady with long dark hair.
Chopped Salad - we think the recipe has been changed...doesn't seem as good as it did in the past....loaded with chopped carrots so it was more a chopped carrot salad than a chopped salad. Disappointed a bit in that.
The square noodles pasta is always delicious.
Our family had so much fun celebrating our daughter’s college graduation here! Only down side was that it was freezing cold. We told a friend this, and she said she hadn’t been to Rosebud in years but last time she went it was freezing cold too! Wonderful place. Wonderful food. Turn heat up!
Everything was great until the end of the meal. We weren’t given a receipt to check our concerns but after we left and talked about our bill, we think we may have been given another tables bill! After adding everything up we had there seems to be a $50.00 discrepancy. In fact our waiter even came to question his tip! Turns out I made a mistake and did not add correctly and only left enough to cover the bill. I did correct this but am not upset because I feel we may have been over charged. iOnce I have a chance to speak to someone I will update my review. The app, salad and entree were great, “STELLAR”.
We came on Christmas Eve- A crazy day and therefore our reservations were moot. There were only 2 of us and we were told we would be seated upstairs at a 2 top table. Instead someone complained and they moved us to the bar area packed into an area of groups of 6 or more. Being next to the bar it was so loud I could not talk to talk to one another. We had a different waiter every time we were checked on and it took 40 minutes for our first course to arrive. The basement was also very warm. To remedy it the back door was left open- it was 11 degrees that evening and the draft was terrible.
Our food was okay- I highly recommend the mussels in the red sauce (best part of the meal). But our entrees were cold and plated in a hurry- the bottom of the plates were messy.
We usually have a good experience here, but It is safe to say that we will not be returning to Rosebud on Rush. Although we were not a large table with a high price tag- we were hoping to have attentive service, delicious food and a romantic evening. That did not happen. I have had better luck at Carmines (part of the rosebud family) in the Gold Coast district. We will go there in the future.
