Rosebud on Rush
Unfortunately, reservation requests for the outdoor patio cannot be taken online.
We were a party of seven for my daughters high school graduation which was late. They were very accepting of the late reservation of 10PM and the service and food was great. Couldn't eat it all and had the rest the next day. My daughter was very happy with her linguine and clams and the sea bass was excellent. Will eat here again, and again, and again.
Great time with outdoor patio, service was excellent, easy to make reservation
Food was just ok. Not as good as in the past. Food was very slow .
Very good food! The lasagna was fantastic, service was great! Highly recommend!
Amazing! As always
Excellent service! 5 stars for sure.
The food was great. Date had the filet mignon and I had he linguine with shrimp and broccoli, they could of used a little less broccoli and thicker sauce.. their dessert was amazing! The cheese cake! 😋 definitely taking my babe back!
Incredible service and quality of food. The serving sizes are very generous and can be shared for the most part; particularly the desserts which can feed a party of 10!
We were at Rosebud with friends for Mother's Day Brunch. The food and service were great. It was very busy and therefore, may have been louder than usual. My only complaint was how close together the tables were. Our server had to take a route around several other tables to serve ours and we felt uncomfortably close to the table behind us.
Great experience overall and I would come back on a future trip to Chicago.
Had not been back here for a few years. Menu options seems to have been reduced quite a bit. Service was mediocre at best. 3 of 4 meals ok...pricey for what it is. Broccoli and shrimp pasta was 60%+ stalks. Much better Italian options in Chicago. Won’t be back...too bad...used to be a family favorite.
Group of five gals from Michigan enjoyed a fabulous dining experience at Rosebud. I make a point of dining at this restaurant each time I am travelling to Chicago. Besides the food being outstanding, the staff are all engaging and create a great experience in this already cozy restaurant. Getting our photo with the chef was an added bonus!!!! I would highly recommend this restaurant!!!!
Too loud. Too rushed. $60 fish special - price not disclosed prior was a shock. Portions too large. Overall, the dining experience did not live up to all the buzz.
Fabulous wine and cocktails. The Manhattan was one of the best I ever had. Minestrone soup piping hot and delicious. Our pasta was so good!!! Waiter was fun yet professional. Probably our 10th time at this restaurant.
Staff couldn’t be any nicer
We love everything anout Rosebud on Rush. The food is amazing...potions are HUGE so share or plan to take leftovers. The service is impeccable. Highly recommend for a large group or an intimate dinner.
We reserved a table for nine after the 2019 Graduation Commencement at Loyola University Chicago. My wife, mother, brother (and girlfriend), daughter, her 3 friends had a fantastic experience with you on this particular Friday night. Thank you for your service and for an unbelievable meal that we have talked about all weekend. Kudos my friends... we are appreciative and grateful for your entire team...!!!
This was our 33rd wedding anniversary & Francesco & Juan did a fabulous job of making it a memorable dinner! Outstanding veal francese! Excellent 8 Finger Cavatelli Arrabiat! Excellent meal all around! We were served a complimentary cannoli desert since it was our anniversary but we also ordered a delicious and ridiculously large piece of chocolate cake!
Best Italian food in Chicago. Have been a loyal customer for over 25 years. Great service and even better food. Driving 5 hours for dinner is worth the time!
Just as good as the iconic one on Taylor. Portions very generous. Couldn’t finish. Stack salad that we shared was outstanding. Could have stopped right there. Had veal parmigiana that seemed as big as a bath may! Delicious!
Excellent food, service, and attention to detail. We really enjoyed our evening at Rosebud on Rush and will definitely be back again!
Great food, as always!
Rosebud’s on Rush did not disappoint with their delicious antipasto and main dishes. Although some of the dishes are a little pricey the servings are very large and you will likely take some home with you. You have to try the Calamari with the sauce and the the Godiva chocolate on chocolate cake!! Just fair warning the cake is enormous. We had to make everyone take a portion home with them . The manager and staff deserve 5 stars for service and helping me to surprise my boyfriend with his birthday cake
A lovely restaurant with such a caring and attentive staff. Would highly recommend! A gold coast gem.
Great service...great food at dinner and then again at brunch...wonderful servers
My meal was good but i think $37 for Shrimp Francese is just a bit much.
We were very much looking forward to dining at the famous Rosebud on Rush. Whenever we told someone that is where are dinner reservation was they would respond with gleaming approval. We dressed up for a fine dining experience and we a bit surprised after we arrived. A few guests were wearing baseball caps, t-shirts, and hoodies. That was fine compared to the large group party that was celebrating as though they owned the entire restaurant and were celebrating and drinking as though it was a backyard BBQ on the Fourth of July. The restaurant staff moved us to another table after we were no longer able to hear the waiter discuss order options. The food is simply amazing and the staff brilliant. To ensure all other guests enjoy their dining experience the restaurant should limit the size of large parties or put them in a separate dining room.
Service was amazing, we never wanted for anything. Food was outstanding. I would absolutely go there again.
SPECTACULAR! We could not have had a better dining experience at Rosebud on Rush. First off, the moment you walk in you’re enveloped in this romantic, dimly lit atmosphere. Dark wood, white linens, and pristine cleanliness set the stage for a delicious meal. Chicken piccata was the best I’ve ever had (and my family owned an Italian restaurant during my childhood!), my husband swooned over the sea bass he ordered on special. What stood out also was the truly impeccable service. We will be back again and again!
Delicious as always!!!!
Amazing food and great service!
Rosebud was lovely as always - food was outstanding and being sung to by such a sweet man was the bonus for my birthday. Rosebud will continue to be the top of my list for restaurants when I am in town.
Excellent food and service.
Never disappoints! The only bad thing was that we couldn’t finish! It is so much food!
The food, the service and friendliness of the staff was excellent. One of our favorite restaurants in Chicago.
Rosebud on Rush is a terrific place! I love the food and the ambiance of the place, especially during the warmer months when I can sit on the patio. I go there almost every time I go to Chicago!
Ate here for Easter brunch with my husband and adult son and I was expecting a little more. It was just...eh. It seemed to be right up our alley - nice Italian place in a good location that featured Italian specialties and brunch. We did get seated at a window, which was nice. There ended up being a big party in the same room and maybe that is what sucked all of the service out of the room, but there had to be some reason. The staff seemed to be pieced together and awkward. Coffee is a priority with us and we were given a cup and never revisited until we were long empty and had to request refills on our own. When another server came back with some it was in a pitiful glass carafe for one, so we shared that until they brought another carafe (same size). The sweet bread that was offered at the beginning was never brought so we had to request that as well. That was ok but did look a little like it was left over from a previous meal. Breakfast was so so -- two different kinds of eggs benedict and one of the specials (a sausage skillet that was reported as being "good"). I had the florentine eggs benedict. The entire thing was barely warm - thinking most of it was warmed in an oven until ordered - and the english muffin was soggy. The spinach and tomatoes were ok. The feta tasted more sour than usual. The eggs themselves were cooked well (just not hot). Anyway, lots of restaurants in Chicago so I will probably not go back to this one. The decor needs some updating (maybe it was just too noticeable in the bright glare of a sunny morning) and service needs to be improved so that the customer does not feel forgotten. Hoping the dinner and lunch menus are better than brunch.
This was a perfect restaurant for our group who were traveling. The options and preparation styles were so delicious! The manager was very funny and attentive as were all the wait staff. Definitely a must try!!
We love this restaurant and the food is always spot on delicious! We split a salad and an entrée and the staff did a great job to serve on separate plates and not make us feel guilty about it! Plenty of food for us! We stop here every time we visit Chicago!
We had a fantastic meal here with family & friends this past weekend. Nice room and delicious food. The shrimp Milanese was divine as well as the baked cavatelli!! Try to come here whenever I’m in Chicago
