Rosebud on Rush
Unfortunately, reservation requests for the outdoor patio cannot be taken online.
Saturday & Sunday: 8am-3pm
We have come to Rosebud’s for every special occasion since our daughter began school at Loyola in 2014. This year we have celebrated her undergrad graduation and her 1st apartment lease signing on her own. More good times at Rosebud’s to come. Fabulous food and enviable service.
Very tasty tomato sauce. Simple but elegant
If in Chicago I will be back
Very loud atmosphere.
Good overall. Too pricy for so loud... needs a new ambiance, kinda getting tired.
No way they should have such small bathrooms for men and women for a restaurant that size... that is an issue they need to fix
The Sea bass is absolutely amazing. Might be the best sea bass I have ever eaten! Spicy calamari was excellent! All around great Italian food!
There isn’t a trip to Chicago that doesn’t include Rosebud for us! We have been eating there for years. The food is delicious and the service top notch.
I will highlight that the service was awesome and spot on. We had our five year old son with us and our waiter took extra care of him to make sure he had the “young man’s pasta”. The drinks were great, oysters delicious, and we had the Chilean sea bass piccata style at the waiters recommendation and it was delicious. Great ambiance and service. It does get a little tight and loud in the restaurant but that didn’t bother us.
An all time favorite of ours. Been coming here for well over 20 years and we keep coming back!
Overall Excellent - was recommended by my friend 'Robert Conrad' whom I've known the last several years where I have participated on his Radio Show in California on CRN, aka the 'Conrad Radio Network'.
It just took a while for me to get back to Chicago. There weather was great so I sat outside and was greeted by the Manager, Johnny Marano. I really enjoyed the food and adult beverages. I will have to share the experience the next time I call into the show. Thank you again for a great experience.
Good food a little on the noisy side lots of people there especially people staying down town for business.
I have been there quite a few times always good food, but a little cramped on the seating arrangements.
This place is so delicious! I come here as often as possible and we always have excellent meals. Luis was our waiter and gave exceptional service as do all of the waitstaff that have served us.
From my perfectly crafted martini to this finale of a dessert, the entire night was delicious!
Fantastic! The best authentic Italian cuisine I have ever had. The stuffed mushrooms appetizer was phenomenal and the meatballs were just as amazing. The rigatoni alla vodka had the most robust and flavorable sauce. One side note, the portions are large (the chicken parm could literally have fed 3 people) and they do not tell you that. At minimum, two people could share an entree.
The wine list was extensive as well. Service was impeccable! HIGHLY recommend this restaurant and will definitely return every time I am in Chicago! I cannot say enough good things about it!
Got our table right away but service was slow and server was not attentive. Calamari was rubbery, the filet was pretty good, the veal parm was ok.
Tasty food and packed as always. Uncomfortably hot on top floor. As great as business always appears to be, please fix/upgrade your AC for the comfort of your guests and staff.
Food is wonderful! However, very noisy, music is loud, tables close together, don't expect to have a good conversation with your dinner companion. If you don't mind the noise, the food is well worth it.
Thanks so much for making our 35th wedding anniversary so much fun. One of the staff members sang at our table and gave us a special dessert for our celebration. Great food, excellent service, and fun staff!
Fantastic. Went for our anniversary. Sat at a cozy little table. Francisco provided impeccable service. Food was awesome. Just can't say enough. Go to Rosebud on Rush. You will love it.
Food overpriced. There are so many other options in Chicago I would not go back. Veal was bland. 4 shrimp in a shrimp dish with what felt like chopped frozen broccoli.
We were hustled thru, the assistant waiter had no what he was doing!
Authentic Italian with great service and fantastic atmosphere
Our server was attentive but not suffocating. Quality of food is always consistent.
Great place to have dinner outside on a summer evening.
Always a must when in Chicago. Either Taylor St or Rush. One of my favorites!!! for Years
Too noisy; ambivalent service; ok food. Too many other good places for dinner.
Love this place but the service was extremely slow this time and the chicken was dry and tasteless.
Went at 5p so it was very quiet, and we planned it that way so we could bring the kids. Very good food, not too expensive given the location.
Great service and great food!
Everyone was very attentive.manager was fantastic!!!!!!!! Great happy staff reflects on managers and company.you must have a fantastic group of employees your restaurant groups.thank you again
My third visit to Rosebud on Rush proved consistency is a hallmark, having made these different reservations over the past ten years. Fantastic subterranean bar rekindles the 'Speakeasy' concept and stopping there before your reservation is a must if you have the time. Variety on the menu includes not just food choices but also preparation styles. I've had Fettuccini Alfredo, Lasagna, and Surf & Turf in the three visits. The formally dressed wait staff deserve kudos for helping amplify the special ambiance of the upper dining room. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience from every aspect of the dining experience - the décor, menu, wait staff / service and people dining around me. I would wholeheartedly recommend Rosebud on Rush for any occasion. *NOTE: There is another Rosebud Restaurant in Chicago, and it has a sterling reputation as well, but if you want the amenities I've covered including the downstairs bar, the stop will be Rosebud on Rush.
We are so fortunate to just live three blocks from this fine Rosebud establishment I had the best Seabass I think I’ve ever had in my life the column Mari the fine service by Marco and Johnny makes it a very very wonderful dining experience thank you so much for the fine evening
We sat outside. Food was fabulous! Service was great! Will be back.
Our waiter Juan was so kind and fun. The food was fabulous as always
Great food, great service. Loved sitting outside on the sidewalk that had been blocked off to be a little patio. The lobster pasta was delicious.
Great experience once again!!!
Louis was a great waiter our party was 40 minuets late he was very patient with us..excellent service from Louis and the all staff will go there again
Wonderful food and servers!
Service was great! Food was delish! I recommend the patio seating.
Great service, great food take a megaphone though, you'll need it.
When in Chicago, dinner at Rosebud is a must. They've been our benchmark for good Italian in the states for 18 years. The atmosphere is energetic and elegant. This visit, we were a little disappointed. While the lobster ravioli was amazing, the tortellini carbonara was more alfredo than carbonara and the cannoli cake was dry. It was a Saturday night and our server seemed in a rush to turn our table. He dropped the check with the dessert, returned to box the remainder in short order and did not offer a refill on our coffee. The experience wasn't what we are accustomed to from Rosebud but the meal was still very good. We'll be back on our next visit to Chicago to try it again!
Great experience as tourists hungry for lunch. We were able to get a 2:00 pm lunch without a wait and our waiter was perfect and the food, fabulous.
