Literally the best Italian food I’ve ever had. Do yourself a favor and get the cannolis for dessert. The only “negative” was a table across the restaurant was full of frat guys that were obscenely loud. But again, nothing to do with the restaurant itself. Amazing experience overall snd I want to eat there every day of my life
Food very good, service good. We were seated upstairs two tables extremely loud and boisterous and Management did not control it. One table left without ordering. It was too loud for a pleasant experience. We have been there before and would return.
Fantastic, as always! GREAT to be back!
Very friendly staff.
It was a genuinely great dining experience. Waiter was awesome, the food was absolutely amazing.
Great service and menu for our Mother’s Day lunch!
Came in for Mother’s Day brunch
A bit disappointed
No special menu. Service was lacking. Food came to us warm not hot. Eggs Benedict Florentine were good.
Servers congregating and talking instead of taking care of dinner’s.

Delicious brunch and atmosphere . Easy to book online. Coffee and service was outstanding.
I spent the best Mother’s Day brunch at Rosebud. The service and food was amazing.
The service was great and the food was delicious
Overall, we enjoyed Rosebud on Rush. It was a crowded Friday evening, but we had a reservation, and our table was ready on time. We sat on the enclosed patio. Service was a little slow, but the restaurant was busy, and we were not in a hurry. Our waiter was very helpful. The food we tried was good, but the portions are HUGE!!! Consider sharing or, if not, be prepared to have leftovers. Unfortunately, we were leaving the following day and didn’t have a fridge at our hotel, so we ended up wasting a lot. I wish we would have known how large the portions would be; we could have shared a meal. The prices were reasonable, especially considering the gigantic portions.
The servers were very nice and the food was very good. Almost the entire time we were there, a woman was sitting with a child who looked to be about age 3 near us until long after they were done eating. The child was screaming almost the entire time, swinging a knife and fork around and generally disrupting the dining experience for everyone else. I had to ask a manager to remove the silverware so the child wouldn’t injure herself. The mother ignored the child and was looking on her phone the whole time. It would be helpful if the restaurant had coloring books and crayons for parents who fail to bring anything to occupy their out of control child. They could have also asked them to leave after they were finished eating.
Food was great, service was not so good. This use to be an upscale place, very casual now.
Excellent food and service.
Was an excellent experience from food to atmosphere to service
Everything was very good and we had good weather for dining outdoors.
The eggplant Parmesan was the best I’ve ever had. The Caesar salad was good but nothing special. It was a very loud and energetic environment. We sat outside in the tented space and we’re very close to all others. All tables were sat and none were left empty for the Covid situation. Luckily we are vaccinated so we felt safe…
Really enjoyed our dinner there.... food, ambience, service all excellent!
Great restaurant, have been here many times on my visits to Chicago! Excellent service food is always Awesome and I now have a dog and they accommodated on the Patio!
Just a great place to enjoy a meal and have great service!
Very good. Lots of variety. Traditional Italian dishes were great. Fish special was outstanding. Portions are ridiculous.
Red sauce for pasta was too spicy. Waiter didn't explain about it at all. Grilled caramari was excellent.
Huge portions. Don't miss the Chicken Parmigiana and The Caesar Salad is the freshest we have ever had.
Food was incredible. Our favorite when visiting chicago.
Over capacity. We walked in and I was shocked. The staff was wearing masks but every single table was filled. No such thing as social distancing. We were seated in the corner which was nice. Food was ok. Wine overpriced.
Would not let us be seated while waiting for the rest of our party to have a drink. Told us to wait in bar which had no open seats. No place to sit while waiting. Horrible table being bumped by servers and other patrons. Food is good. Wait staff is good.
We had a GREAT dinner...and service by Luis (sp?) and the others was fantastic! We were seated downstairs...and it was a little quieter, which was nice.
Thank you for making our celebration a night to remember. Your entire staff was amazing and look forward to coming back to you soon.
My wife and I had a very pleasant indoor lunch with oysters as a starter. Good wine and a tasty Bloody Mary, followed by a delectable pizza for my wife (she had leftovers the next morning at the hotel) and salmon Benedict for me. We were downstairs with limited seating so safe from COVID standpoint but not necessarily magical. Would definitely eat here again on future trips.
My friends and I were finally able to dine together and we had such a fun time at Tavern on Rush! Zoe was our server and she was amazing! Can’t wait to come back!
Excellent service and food was top notch. Highly recommended!
We had a reservation but were seated at an awkward table in the plastic covered sidewalk area. Had to keep flagging down wait staff and then waiting to get anything. Food was very mediocre and overpriced. Maybe okay for tourists but not for Chicagoans. Will never go back.
Never a disappointment, outstanding food and service!
Birthday for 10 year old son. We are from out of state is this his favorite place to eat in Chicago. Amazing service and food. Huge portions. Definitely our family favorite!
Outstanding service and hospitality! Great homemade Italian food! Miguel and Yared were exceptional, made us feel like VIPs!!!
The food doesn’t have enough flavor. The pasta was stuck together, the seafood pasta had no flavor no sauce, the fried Calamari is plain, had much better at other places. menu needs improvement. Minestrone soup was different, light colored, too salty.
From parking to accommodation & food service OUTSTANDING
