As usual, great food with impeccable service, good value for the money.
Solid food with large portions
The air conditioning was not working well and we were sweaty at our table 6/16!
One of my favorite restaurants in Chicago. It's my go to place when coming into the City for the weekend. Great food, great location, great staff! It's a happening place!
Great food and service.
We were in town to celebrate our daughter’s birthday. The service was impeccable, the music our favorites, and the food was beyond our expectations. Definitely will make the trip back!
Excellent food; superior service.
Great value and service. Nice location just off north Michigan Avenue.
The service at Rosebud is always amazing. The servers, managers and ambiance make it such a nice experience. Thank you for always going above and beyond. I love dining here!
I make a point to go to Rosebud on Rush every time I am in Chicago. It is a gem. And it doesn't hurt to get special attention from Frank, the manager. He knows how to make you feel welcome and right at home. Food is amazing.
Delicious food and impeccable service. Always a treat to dine at Rosebud!
Brick Chicken - that’s all I have to say
Anniversary celebration and the food was outstanding. The service was not good. I think we ended up having 3 different waiters. The last was the best and wish we had him the whole time.
Food and service were outstanding
I was visiting Chicago for a weekend of fun and baseball with friends. I was craving Italian food and Rosebud on Rush came recommended by a friend. As soon as I walked in I knew this restaurant was an authentic Italian restaurant. I'm Italian and from NJ so to see the manager walk around the restaurant asking each table how their meal was brought back to my childhood.
We ordered a bottle of Rosebud Rose. The wine was amazing. We each had something different and shared with the table. The food was awesome. We split a piece of their chocolate cake. It was light fluffy and so good. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are in Chicago and want italian food.
Wonderful from the time we arrived! Prompt and courteous service and the food was phenomenal!
I have been to Rosebud before and really enjoyed the food. However, this time the food was bland and not near the quality I expected.
Staff, food and ambiance can’t be topped by any other Italiano restaurant in Chicago, period! Highly recommend the sea bass
Reservation made on open table and ready when we got there. Waiter was attentive in beginning of visit, but went downhill after apps received. Calamari was very good. Bread was empty quite often and it took 5 requests for butter to finally be delivered. Main course fair. Very bland tomato pasty sauce. Reservation was made for a birthday celebration and had to remind waiter that he was to deliver bday dessert. On the good side, the waiters assistant was meticulous about clearing dirty dishes and water glasses full. Asst staff far superior to head captain. Noise level was extremely loud. Will not return next time to Chicago.
a bit disappointed with the freshly made pasta - maybe it was sitting in the kitchen too long before bringing out - it was not al dente anymore (it was overcooked)
Great as always at Rosebud!
Absolutely fantastic from start to finish. The eggplant salad is a must!
We are really happy we picked Rosebud for our last night in Chicago before heading home. The Chicken Parm was the best I’ve had and the service was outstanding.
It was our 30th wedding anniversary and my husband was wheelchair-bound, two things the restaurant was told WELL in advance. They never bothered to tell us there was no elevator to the more elegant basement seating until we arrived for our dinner (tho I provided an email address for just that purpose). Patio seating was all that was available, and tho at least five (I got up and counted them) other tables were available where a wheelchair would not block the very narrow space between tables, we were seated right in front of the entrance beside a bus table. The maitre de insisted, lying to our faces, that this was all they could do, as we watched others being ushered to the tables we could easily have taken. Our server was delightful, the meal was delicious, and we made the most of a thoroughly demeaning, outrageous situation caused entirely by the maitre de. I frequent Rosebud restaurants almost weekly, but NEVER NEVER NEVER will we return to this horribly managed location.
Great location right off of Michigan Ave near Water tower place. Fabulous Italian food worth any trip and for any occasion.
Seated right away. Serving size was very large - definitely made for sharing. My chopped salad was bland. Linguini special was very good. Service was excellent.
A classic old favorite - generous, tasty portions with quick, efficient service in a packed, noisy space. Always good but will plan my next trip when (hopefully) it will be a little less noisy to make conversation easier.
Simply fantastic! Come to Chicago from Indianapolis for special occasions and always make sure we dine here - they never miss
Staff and food were great. It was a little loud so difficult to hear across table (though only 5 people).
This restaurant has continuously exceeded our expectations year after year. It is traditional old style Chicago Italian dining with outstanding service and attention to detail. Each time I leave, I leave longing to return.
This was our second time to Rosebud. The breakfast quesadilla is our favorite for breakfast/brunch. Our kids had the cinnamon french toast which was amazing! Tasted like a churro! I would suggest you split an order for two younger kids. I had the Greek Omelet. It was huge and I could only eat half of it but it was great! Mimosas are the perfect addition! Cozy place!
Another great meal at Rosebud on Rush. Always great service, the Tortellini Carbonara was excellent. Antipasti plate had excellent quality meets, cheeses, etc. and plenty to share. Love coming here for good classic Italian food.
We had a reservation for 8, but only 7 attended. We received 6 waters and had to ask for the 7th. We asked for bread plates and only received 5. One of our orders was incorrect and while we ended up making it work by splitting another meal, we were still charged for the wrong order. Service was slow. Noise level was high. Love the food but hesitant to return.
Excellent food, delightful service. Will return!
Food is very good. Tables way too close together, banging into people next to and behind us. Very loud.
We’ve always loved this restaurant but this time we were blown away. My mom is in a wheelchair so we were nervous, but the manager and another man swept in, carried her down the stairs, and made light of it. That was amazing and so helpful in taking the stress out of the situation. We love Rosebud and will continue to eat there, as well as recommend it!
We did not feel that our service was very good. Our waiter had too many tables to accommodate, therefore creating a slow responses to our service( feeling drinks , bread, etc.)
Fantastic as always.
