Rosebud on Rush Ratings and Reviews
We loved our recent dining experience at Rosebud on Rush. Clearly a place that needs a reservation for sure! We were seated with 10 minutes of our 6:00pm reservation. Our waitress was amazing!!! She knew the menu to a tee and kept referring to our teenage daughter as "Bella" which I think is a term of endearment in Italian?? Our food was amazing and the chocolate cake was so huge!! The ambiance is loud, but seems to fit the setting. The wait staff is amazing to watch. They clearly have worked as a team for several years!! Can't wait to return soon!
Food was amazing. The waitot split our plate for us and was very nice and accommodating. My husband and I share the Pork Chop Calibrese and it was decadent. We come to Chicago every few years for a long weekend and we always eat here and share the same dish, it never disappoints.
Rosebud on Rush is like going to Grandma's for Sunday dinner. It is warm and cozy, and the smell of garlic and warm bread wafts in the air. You will be served delicious Italian food. No one is stuffy, and you will be sent home with lots of leftovers. The ambiance is simple, but nice.
I highly recommend the Burrata, the Shrimp Milanese, the Veal Parmegian, and the MEATBALLS!!!
I reserved a table at Rosebud for Valentine's Day and was very pleased with the experience. Food was absolutely fantastic, the staff made excellent recommendations and certainly had a great knowledge of the menu.
I highly recommend Rosebud if you are looking to treat someone to a nice dinner!
This was my first visit here.
I came here because of their high Yelp rating and the proximity to my hotel. The Rosebud group has eight restaurants in the area.
I had a reservation for two at 6pm. I started with a special blood orange margarita with salt for $12. Our cocktails were served almost immediately. I was impressed by their bar turn around time. I ordered the pappardelle Bolognese for $22, which was a huge family style serving. I was glad I did not fill up on an appetizer prior to my entree. I enjoyed my entrée, but, was barely able to finish it. There was too much to eat. The lasagna entrée was also just as large.
I also ordered a second margarita and bottle of Monsanto Chianti for $55.
Misel did an excellent job to serve our table needs. My total bill less gratuities was $159. I would definitely return here again.
With two business associates who had not visited Rosebud before. They very much enjoyed it. Food, drinks, service was excellent. As somewhat of a hometowner ( Northern IN) , I inherited the left overs for all providing a wonderful second meal for my wife and I.
Between 2 of us, we started with the grilled calamari and meatballs. For the main course we had shrimp alfredo and filet mignon with the picata preparation. Everthing was absolutely delicious! The calamari could easily serve 3-4 people. I also ordered the ceaser salad, however the waiter cautioned that i may be over ordering. He suggested to start with the appetizers and then decide on the salad. He was right, I skilped the salad. I commend him for the suggestion. Although quite satisfied, we couldn't keep ourselves from ordering the tiramisu and chocolate cake which were out of this world! Each could seve 3-4 people. We shared with a group next to us (whom we knew). An absolute wonderful culinary experience.
