Place was awesome. Elena our waitress was great. Food was excellent.
Another great experience at Rose Bud on Rush. Everything was great. The egg plant stack is amazing. Table also shares chicken parmigiana, baked ziti, and some angel hair pasta. Everything came out hot and delicious. The staff is very attentive clearing dirty dishes and making sure water glasses don’t go empty. You can’t go wrong going to Rose Bud.
Our food, our service and our table were nearly perfect for the evening. We live out of state but have eaten at the restaurant many times. We are big fans of the Rosebud brand.
Absolutely fantastic, as always! Our server, Elaina, was incredibly quick and attentive. We always love Rosebud on Rush. We live in Naperville where another Rosebud restaurant is located, but we will always go to the one on Rush! The General Manager, John, was also going around to tables checking on everyone. Coming from a service background I LOVE when I see managers on the floor engaging with customers! We will be back soon!
Loved the chicken Parmesan! We will definitely go back!
Service was excellent as well as the food. Nicely decorated for the holidays. Highly recommended
Elena was a great server and the food was excellent.
The food was great. Our waitress was amazing, best ever! Her name was Alana (sp?)
I asked a couple of Chicago PD’s finest about an old school Italian place for dinner and the suggested Rosebud. I’m glad that I listened to them. The service, food, and atmosphere were all fantastic!
Service was a bit slow throughout lunch and server seemed distracted which is annoying due to the food prices and not too busy that day. Food was better than I thought it would be.
The service was excellent. Everyone who checked on us was friendly and professional but with a sense of humor. My veal Parmesan was tender and flavorful. My wife’s pasta dish was also very good. The sausage in the pasta was some of the best I’ve had. Portions are huge and we both took quite a bit home. The wine list is a good assortment of Italian wines. And what liked was the number of wines available by the glass. It was a fun night.
Seriously amazing Italian food! I ordered the eggplant parmesean which was outstanding with a side of rigatoni alla vodka. I would order the same thing again! Good atmosphere, will absolutely go back next time in Chicago.
We love to visit this place when we come to the city. The service is always great and the food is absolutely wonderful!
Food was excellent, but the place was packed and very noisy. Could not carry on a conversation due to the noisy dining room. Tables are really too close to each other. Would prefer a restaurant atmosphere a little less crowded & noisy for the price you pay for dinner.
Had a great time as always. Francisco was just awesome! We’ll be back.
The food as Rosebud is excellent and the service is wonderful!
Amazing delicious food as always. I highly recommend the Cavatelli!
We arrived early but thanks to our OpenTable reservation we were seated promptly. The pappardelle wasn’t on the menu but our server had it made with vodka sauce. Johnny made sure we were well taken care of. Always looking forward to our next visit!
My husband and I visit Chicago once a year every December. The Rosebud on Rush is always a must for us. This year is was even better than we remembered! The food was exceptional! The service was great. We will go back everytime we are in Chicago.
My daughter and I take an annual shopping trip to Chicago, and this is our favorite spot to have cocktails and relax before dinner. Having to be gluten-free is not a problem here, I love the Chicken Vesuvio, although gluten free pasta is available if you prefer a pasta dish. My daughter's favorite is the Baked Cavatelli, which is always delicious. I only wish we could go there more often.
Food was great. Service was okay!
Rosebud is always my Italian “go to”, I know the meal is going to be excellent and the service level is always very consistent.
We had a wonderful meal. Service was excellent. The only downside was the volume of the music was too loud. So between the music and people it was difficult to hear people at the table.
My table (2 people) in the upper level was cornered in a bad way too close to the table behind me. It feels like it was not suppose to be there.
Our favorite Italian food restaurant in the Windy City
Always amazing !! Service, management and the entire menu is above all others in the market. My main restaurant each trip to Chicago without exception. Thanks so mich!!
nice food, ambience, drinks, service. the place is a bit cramp.
A great evening with wonderful food and truly professional service.
The servicers were very attentive. We were early for our reservation but were taken in right away.
The ceiling was dripping water. They shouldn’t have sat anyone in that section
Great service and delicious food!
We were seated early which was great. We were in town shopping and finished a little early so really ready to sit and have a drink. Our waiter was very accommodating even separating the checks after they had been run together. Food was delicious.
The food was not up to the expectations from the “really good” reviews.
Wonderful Italian cuisine and I especially love their veal dishes.
Enjoyed Italian food there several years ago.
Thanksgiving dinner was very bland. Turkey was good, but dressing and potatoes were mush, but the carrots were so hard could not cut them. And NO pumpkin pie! Pumpkin cheesecake - poor substitute.
Stick with their Italian menu and you will have a great meal.
Coming from CA to have dinner with granddaughter and family, I picked the restaurant. Bad choice on my behalf.
Very nice for Thanksgiving lunch - great food and service.
We had a reservation for dinner and ended up being seated in the outdoor section which we were told was heated in the very cold Chicago weather...however it was absolutely freezing! We couldn’t even enjoy our meal. The service was ok...nothing special but the ambiance was very disappointing. The food itself was average. The ‘brick chicken’ which is their specialty was dry and flavorless. Costco’s rotisserie chicken has more flavor. Won’t be returning! Oh and our chairs were almost broken, wobbly and we felt like they would collapse at any moment.
Outstanding food!
Great food and service. Enjoy every visit. Great for family and friends!
We keep returning because it is always a great dinner experience. The special ravioli was wonderful - we were filled but no overstuffed! My husband cannot veer from the veal and my brother-in-law loved the sea bass. I've never had a meal here that was less than excellent!
