Always great food and ambient for a fair price
Loved the eggplant salad. Food was delicious. Made reservation on line since busy
Great waiter …
The food and service was excellent but the noise level in the back room was too high. There are no soft furnishings to absorb the echo of the conversations
Everyone's very friendly. You get a lot of food for your money plenty of leftovers to take home.
I had dropped my soda glass into my dinner plate of veal marsala and they gladly made me up a new marsala and mushroom sauce very promptly and no extra cost.
Good meals with good service. Nice touch bringing a birthday treat with a candle to the table. Nice job.
My wife and I went there for her birthday. It was her first dinner at a Rosebud. I had eaten several times before for business at the Rosebud on Rush. We both thoroughly enjoyed our respective dinners. The service and ambience was great!
Food was delicious and service was outstanding. Raelyn (I hope I got his name right), went above and beyond.
Quality and consistent food, service and ambience as always.
Great evening, great service. Very busy, a little slow on front end but made up for it overall!
Our waitress Margie was great she didn’t forget anything. The place was packed but we had a reservation and got in right away. The food was very good..
Service was excellent but the food was not worth the cost at all. Calamari was chewy and the franchaise was served with noodles and marinara which did not go well with the meal.
It was a nice restaurant. I enjoyed my dining experience and felt very welcomed by the staff. I would go again.
I’m sorry, but when a restaurant charges $28 for Chicken Picatta, or $25 for a simple pasta dish, they should pretty darn good. Both dishes were slightly below average, however. The chicken breasts were cooked well, but they were drowning in a can-like lemon sauce that reminded me of Campbell’s chicken soup. The chicken dishes at my local pizza joint restaurant is better at around half the price. The servers did a great job, which made the night salvageable.
I was once in the one in chicago and thouhht this one will be the same. Its not. I didnt like to much the kind of sport bar, with the tv
Good service, food as described, lovely
Thanks for superior service and friendly staff.
Rosebud has always been tried and true for us. This time, the food was served lukewarm. Our waiter was friendly and helpful... and very busy. Finding labor is tough now and perhaps that is why Rosebud didn't live up to it's usual standards.
We sat outside and the beautiful night saved the experience.
Food was very good. Very busy, staff seemed overwhelmed. Server was just ok. When making reservation was asked if it was a special day, said it was our anniversary but it was never acknowledged in any way. What’s the point of asking? My husband ordered soup and I a salad. He was almost done with his soup before I received my salad. Check was presented before we where even asked if we wanted dessert or coffee, which we wanted both. May not return based on service received.
It was fabulous! Food, service and birthday treat was great!
Restaurant was very loud with 2 large groups seated near our table. Our 2 entrees and dessert were very average and took almost 30 min. to arrive from the kitchen because our waiter forgot to put our order in.We won't be going back to Rosebud as there are better Italian restaurants to go to in the western suburbs.
Our go-to spot- never fails to provide great food and service
It was a bit crowded, so the service was slower than usual…
Sat outside for early dinner. Very pleasant. Food was good. Service a bit harried. Overall good experience.
Yum!! I had the chicken Vesuvio and my husband had the gnocchi with Bolognese. We both enjoyed it.. dessert was also great - carrot cake.
Rosebud? More like Rosedud. Hostess didn’t pay very much attention to the patrons walking in. We walked in before another couple but they attended to the other couple first. We were seated for 15 minutes and the wait staff ignored us. I finally spoke with one who said our table wasn’t assigned. We had the filet medallions which were cooked good but the Parmesan crust was bigger than the medallions. The side of broccolini was as hard as a rock and I’m not joking! We had eaten at Rosebuds a long time ago at the old location and enjoyed it then but now we’re never going back!
We always love the food at Rosebud (normally go to the one in Deerfield) but found it to be only ok tonight in Naperville. The grilled calamari usually has a nice char and great flavor, but not tonight. The chicken parm was huge as it always is but again lacking…generally lightly breaded, moist and tender, not so tonight; rather dry. Will chalk it up to low staffing and go again; certainly to the Deerfield location.
Visiting from out of State but was familiar with the area, saw this restaurant on the Hotel list so thought we would try it! I am so glad we did. We had the bruschetta for appetizer which was delicious and my husband also had soup which he said was excellent. I had a house salad and the appetizer mussels as my entree and they were delicious!! My husband had the Rigatoni’s ala vodka and he indicated that it was very good! The service was more than excellent! I would give this restaurant 5 stars for sure!!
Great neighborhood spot to celebrate or meet for dinner
Absolutely disastrous experience. No one came by with drink/water refills, food was brought out before appetizer and salad dishes were cleared. I had to put dishes on seats next to our table. Had to get up and get my own silverware from table next to us, had to go to servers station to get my our own to-go containers and doggy bag when we were done. Worst part was that the waiter didn't seem to care and was never in a hurry. If you were understaffed, don't seat people. $120 for a lunch for 3 people and by far the worst service I've ever had in a restaurant. Never coming back.
Made a reservation for 11:45. They didn’t open until noon. Server forgot to give us menus. Wife finally went and asked for some. Asked for lunch menu—wanted a sandwich—was told dinner only on Labor Day. Ordered a drink—bar tender wasn’t sure if he could make it, as he just started today. Never been behind the bar. He did make it (cosmo) but it was the correct ratio—I let it slide as he was shaking and spilled it as he put it down. Felt bad for the guy—very nervous. I switched to wine and my Chardonnay was good. Wife has chopped salad—it was good. I had chicken piccata—not great and they didn’t garnish it (table next to us ordered same). Daughter had pizza and it was good.
Waiter never checked on our table—but they did seem short staffed. Which I can’t blame them for during the pandemic reopening.
I had a gift card. This is where things got really bad. Our waiter couldn’t get the card to swipe—I watched him lick the card—yes, lick it. Maybe he thought that would help the strip go though?! Anyways he came back to the table with our receipt and the card and tried handing it to me, and I had to tell him why I wouldn’t take it.
I get it, staffing is hard, but for a hundred dollar lunch, this was pretty awful.
Good food taste, very weak server, bad scenario dining outside. We were celebrating a special marker anniversary which I informed the restaurant when making the reservation. No special acknowledgment and noisy close seating on the street disappointed us. Food was good but the whole lack of good service and atmosphere spoiled the night. I’d suggest sitting inside. Maybe the service is better there and food will arrive hot. Prices are on the high side. We’ll make another choice of restaurants next time.
This was my first visit to a Rosebud restaurant and it certainly lived up to its reputation. We’ll be back!
Rosebud is our favorite restaurant in Naperville. Our food and wine was exceptional along with our server!
Great place for a lunch. Fine service and great food
My husband’s birthday dinner, his choice. Amazing as always!
Wonderful Sunday lunch with the family! All of us were pleased with our food and everyone left with leftovers!
first time in this location completely different experience than chicago locations arrived 30 minutes ahead of our reservation. they couldn't seat us even they had like 6 tables open than exactly on our reservation time 8pm they stay to seat us in this party room tucked all the way behind kitchen so I asked for onother table witch they did (same tables when we first come in still open)not the way Alex does business
chicken parmesan was dry and cold calamari chewy and cold as well .
the rest was consistent with the way rosebud and carmine do there cuisine .
sservice was on points.
Going to see a play
I had veal italiano and my partner had the cobb salad with grilled chicken. We shared a chocolate cake slice for dessert.
All of the food was incredible and portions generous. Even the cake slice surprised us by being more than enough for two people to share and feel fully satisfied with.
All servers we interacted with were friendly and accommodating. The restaurant was less busy than I would've expected for weekend lunch time, but we were still glad we made a reservation, just to be safe.
