celebrated a wedding anniversary and had a great waitress
Enjoyed Rosebud for an early lunch in the heart of downtown Naperville . Celebrated my wife’s birthday with both my kids one of which goes to college at north central ! It t was perfect great service great food and always love the rosebud family
Always excellent. The eggplant salad is outstanding, even if you don’t like eggplant.
Ziti is fabulous also!
Prices have gone up but still a nice place to eat
My husband and I had not eaten out for a while - and chose Rosebud's because we were in the mood for Italian food. We could have sat in the dining room - but chose to sit at the bar since there were seats available and it seemed cozier. We had a sausage appetizer that was on special and it was wonderful. Because it was so filling, we split the 8-finger cavetelli and the portion size was even large for the two of us. We were stuffed after splitting half of it - and didn't have any room left for dessert.
The bartender could not have been better - he was quick to fill both our water and wine. I wasn't sure what kind of red wine to order - and he let me taste a couple in order to select the one that I liked best. We ordered a bottle and he was on-hand whenever either of our glasses looked low. The atmosphere was wonderful for our "date night". We forgot how much we enjoyed Rosebuds and will definitely return soon!
The wait staff was very attentive and the portions are very large.
Food and service were fine. The party was 3 couples over 50. Very difficult to hold conversation
Quick service, amazing food! Thumbs up
Delicious food! We were impressed with our visit and enjoyed it more than our regular favorite! Good job Rosebud!
Had not been here for a couple of years. Can't wait to go back now! Mare the server was exceptional. Manager was great and very friendly. Food was huge portions, especially the Chicakn Par! My gosh, one of the very best Chicken Parms in Chicago and the dinner portion could feed 3! Table bread is warm and really good especially with the olive oil, parm cheese and red pepper flakes that we mixed on one of the plates. Tiramisu was incredible.
Had a wonderful meal at Rosebud’s on a quiet Monday night. Meal was made even more pleasant by our wait-staff. Joey, our waiter, was delightful, anxious to help in any way. Would ask for him again.
We go there a lot. This is the second time in a row that my spaghetti was watery. That’s so wrong. Both times we went were on Sunday’s. Not sure if they have a different Chef or they have lower their standards.
Our service was extremely poor. We have been coming to this restaurant for years and this past experience was terrible. We were placed in the back of the restaurant with our 4 kids, which was fine, but the server paid us zero attention. When he first came to the table we asked if we could place the kids' orders immediately and then take an extra minute to decide what the adults wanted. Long story short, the kids' food came and was eaten before the waiter ever came back to even ask what my husband and I wanted to drink. The kids were ready to leave and my husband and I hadn't even had anything at all. We left the restaurant very frustrated.
Excellent Italian dishes. The biggest platter of Veal Parmesian that I've ever had!
Delicious. The server was wonderful & attentive. Both managers were made sure our dinner
was perfect. One of the managers, Brian was incredible!! He's a good man!!
Went with my stepdad for my birthday. Service and food were fantastic as always. Miss Lisa Zullo as manager!! She rocks!!
Great atmosphere and service. Food was good but was disappointed in the prices. We ordered baked clams and at $12.50 per half a dozen you would at least expect to taste the meat portion of the clam. but not the case. Disappointed because that’s why we went there.
I took my girlfriend here for a nice late Valentine's dinner. She absolutely loved it and said the spaghetti was fantastic! Is was definitely nice to go somewhere different for once. Nice change of scenery!
Great food , great service , will be dinning there again soon
A bit noisy, but the food and service made up for that. Our fish dishes were great!
Our cheese cake was Devine!
Excellent food and huge portions. Great value for the money. A little loud for a romantic evening but fine for a family dinner.
My wife and I celebrated Valentine's Day here. It wasn't on the day, so not as crowded as we've experienced in the past. Pace of the meal was perfect. I had the baked ziti and my wife had the baked cavatelli, both were excellent. And don't miss the chocolate layer cake for dessert! Last but not least, we ate our fill and still carried out plenty for another meal and dessert.
Arriving 25 minutes early for our Rez we went to the bar and couldn’t get a drink. Bar tenders wouldn’t pay attention to guests. Steak was way over cooked and the waiter forgot things. My 8 finger pasta was great but the service was frustrating. I’m not sure I’ll ever go back.
Our evening could not have been better. Sol, our waiter, was prompt and attentive. His knowledge of the menu allowed him to answer all questions. The entree reminded me of the way my Grandma prepared her famous Italian dishes.
Service was outstanding and very accommodating
Long wait even with reservation, no apology offered until being seated even though several hostesses were at the hostess stand talking with each other. Food good as usual but the wait and service slow. Of course, we will return, like the food, and see if it happens again.
Rosebud has a good reputation, and it always seems to earn that. The server was very attentive. The food was terrific. However, a glass of Sauvignon Blanc had no aroma and tasted a bit like vinegar. Otherwise, I would have rated Rosebud higher.
This restaurant takes far too many open table reservations. Even with an open table reservations the waits are 30-45 minutes. This has become a great source of frustration as I often go here for business meetings or celebrations.
We always love Rosebud. The food is plentiful and always good. Our waitress was very attentive and even made sure we had an extra glass of ice for our ice tea. We enjoyed the veal parm and spaghetti and meatballs. We had a little wait (20 minutes) but the booth we were seated at made up for the wait. We will be back!
We went to Rosebud after having it recommended to us several times. I like Italian food and was looking forward to trying another restaurant in Downtown Naperville. It did not live up to the hype. The food was mediocre, and I was really disappointed by the drinks and the price.
At best the food can be described as fine. It was average, plain Italian food with unnecessarily oversized portions. There was nothing that we ordered that I felt like I would want to go back and get again. I ordered an old fashioned to drink and had to send it back because it tasted and looked like water (I have never in my life sent a drink back). They re-made it and it was the exact same. I can honestly say it was the worst drink I've ever tasted at a restaurant.
Finally, the price. For two people it was $120. Not worth the money at all. Will never go back.
Not only were we sat 20 minutes late, we were squeezed into a very tight space where there was not even enough room for our waiter to stand at the table, he had to stand on the corner behind my husband. I asked the waiter about the positioning of the table adjacent to us which was creating the uncomfortable tightness between tables and he said the party next to us had requested it be that way and that they would change the table back to the correct positioning after they left. They never did. The food arrived almost immediately which was nice but also a bit odd, as if it were not made fresh. Zero ambiance in this place. Not impressed at all and would not return.
Leonardo was wonderful, probably the most professional waiter we’ve ever had. The food was amazing, although I would have preferred roasted peppers over the Italian Steak over the marinated peppers. All in all a great experience!
Our sever Dillon was attentive, knowledgeable of the menu, and the paring of the wine. Dillon was professional and pleasant while carrying on a conversation with us during our meal. Great server!
We walked in with high expectations having tried this restaurant before for happy hour, with drinks and a few appetizers in the past!
We ordered Chicken with lemon sauce and capers which comes with pasta. It was just okay, have tried way better at so many other Italian restaurants.
Hand rolled pasta with ricotta tasted very doughy and we asked for that to be replaced with a cheese pizza.
The godiva chocolate cake was yum and big enough to be shared by 2-4 people.
Service was great, food lacked flavor.
I'd rather go to other similar places in the area!
We were there for dinner, made reservation at 7:30, arrived at 7:15 thinking they would sit us at 7:30, but that was not the case. We were seated at 7:45 because we were told they were sitting people who had reservations at 7:00 even though they arrived at 7:35. Why were we penalized for others not being on time? Very disappointing!
Great food! Sat us immediately. Rather tight on space and very loud.
Great time! Great service! Great food! Celebrating with friends.
Great as usual! A go to when in Naperville! The veal Masala and Bruschetta arealways one ofour choices!
Unfortunately, the noise level was so high, we needed to yell and raise our voices to be heard. We were seated near the kitchen and the waiter station, which was probably the poorest seat in the restaurant. When I asked him, the waiter said that the pork chops were "slightly spicy." Even accounting for individual tastes, I found them to be extremely spicy, and did not enjoy them (an expensive meal that wasn't even 1/4 finished). The valet service ($7.00) was a necessity since there is very very little parking available nearby. The valet took my keys and left them in the unlocked car as he walked away to take care of other customers. The car could have very easily been stolen since no one was watching it. I happened to still be standing in the area and I asked him to please not leave the keys on the seat. He was not happy with my request, and stomped off to retrieve the keys and lock the car. I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Noisy, but the food was alright, the portions were generous, and the prices were reasonable. Wine prices were all over the board as far as markups from retail.
