I took my girlfriend here for a nice late Valentine's dinner. She absolutely loved it and said the spaghetti was fantastic! Is was definitely nice to go somewhere different for once. Nice change of scenery!
Great food , great service , will be dinning there again soon
A bit noisy, but the food and service made up for that. Our fish dishes were great!
Our cheese cake was Devine!
Excellent food and huge portions. Great value for the money. A little loud for a romantic evening but fine for a family dinner.
My wife and I celebrated Valentine's Day here. It wasn't on the day, so not as crowded as we've experienced in the past. Pace of the meal was perfect. I had the baked ziti and my wife had the baked cavatelli, both were excellent. And don't miss the chocolate layer cake for dessert! Last but not least, we ate our fill and still carried out plenty for another meal and dessert.
Arriving 25 minutes early for our Rez we went to the bar and couldn’t get a drink. Bar tenders wouldn’t pay attention to guests. Steak was way over cooked and the waiter forgot things. My 8 finger pasta was great but the service was frustrating. I’m not sure I’ll ever go back.
Our evening could not have been better. Sol, our waiter, was prompt and attentive. His knowledge of the menu allowed him to answer all questions. The entree reminded me of the way my Grandma prepared her famous Italian dishes.
Service was outstanding and very accommodating
Long wait even with reservation, no apology offered until being seated even though several hostesses were at the hostess stand talking with each other. Food good as usual but the wait and service slow. Of course, we will return, like the food, and see if it happens again.
Rosebud has a good reputation, and it always seems to earn that. The server was very attentive. The food was terrific. However, a glass of Sauvignon Blanc had no aroma and tasted a bit like vinegar. Otherwise, I would have rated Rosebud higher.
This restaurant takes far too many open table reservations. Even with an open table reservations the waits are 30-45 minutes. This has become a great source of frustration as I often go here for business meetings or celebrations.
We always love Rosebud. The food is plentiful and always good. Our waitress was very attentive and even made sure we had an extra glass of ice for our ice tea. We enjoyed the veal parm and spaghetti and meatballs. We had a little wait (20 minutes) but the booth we were seated at made up for the wait. We will be back!
We went to Rosebud after having it recommended to us several times. I like Italian food and was looking forward to trying another restaurant in Downtown Naperville. It did not live up to the hype. The food was mediocre, and I was really disappointed by the drinks and the price.
At best the food can be described as fine. It was average, plain Italian food with unnecessarily oversized portions. There was nothing that we ordered that I felt like I would want to go back and get again. I ordered an old fashioned to drink and had to send it back because it tasted and looked like water (I have never in my life sent a drink back). They re-made it and it was the exact same. I can honestly say it was the worst drink I've ever tasted at a restaurant.
Finally, the price. For two people it was $120. Not worth the money at all. Will never go back.
Not only were we sat 20 minutes late, we were squeezed into a very tight space where there was not even enough room for our waiter to stand at the table, he had to stand on the corner behind my husband. I asked the waiter about the positioning of the table adjacent to us which was creating the uncomfortable tightness between tables and he said the party next to us had requested it be that way and that they would change the table back to the correct positioning after they left. They never did. The food arrived almost immediately which was nice but also a bit odd, as if it were not made fresh. Zero ambiance in this place. Not impressed at all and would not return.
Leonardo was wonderful, probably the most professional waiter we’ve ever had. The food was amazing, although I would have preferred roasted peppers over the Italian Steak over the marinated peppers. All in all a great experience!
Our sever Dillon was attentive, knowledgeable of the menu, and the paring of the wine. Dillon was professional and pleasant while carrying on a conversation with us during our meal. Great server!
We walked in with high expectations having tried this restaurant before for happy hour, with drinks and a few appetizers in the past!
We ordered Chicken with lemon sauce and capers which comes with pasta. It was just okay, have tried way better at so many other Italian restaurants.
Hand rolled pasta with ricotta tasted very doughy and we asked for that to be replaced with a cheese pizza.
The godiva chocolate cake was yum and big enough to be shared by 2-4 people.
Service was great, food lacked flavor.
I'd rather go to other similar places in the area!
We were there for dinner, made reservation at 7:30, arrived at 7:15 thinking they would sit us at 7:30, but that was not the case. We were seated at 7:45 because we were told they were sitting people who had reservations at 7:00 even though they arrived at 7:35. Why were we penalized for others not being on time? Very disappointing!
Great food! Sat us immediately. Rather tight on space and very loud.
Great time! Great service! Great food! Celebrating with friends.
