Built in in late 1800's Rose Villa was established as a boutique hotel and bed and breakfast in 1901.
The Gazebo is open for cocktails, lunch and dinner during the temperate months. With a relaxing fountain and abundant florals, the Gazebo and back porch seating is a great place to enjoy the Rose Villa. Dogs Welcome!
Upstairs is the Southern Speakeasy, "Whiskey at the Rose" and is making quite a stir among Bourbon aficionados with an array of high end Bourbons. Chef Sylvia has also gotten in on the action offering small plate appetizers and food tastings designed around whiskey and Bourbon during special events.

    Rose Villa is one of our (new) must go to places to eat while in the Daytona Beach/Ormond Beach area. Appetizer: Fried biscuits with pork belly. First of all they make really fantastic biscuits by themselves. But then they slice them in half lightly fry them and top with crispy pork belly and a maple syrup glaze. Heaven in your mouth! I'll just talk about their signature dish which is Southern fried Chicken. I almost didn't mention it because it makes it sound like this is just a chicken place. They have so many other dishes along with interesting fresh ingredients. But back to the fried chicken. Crispy, juicy not overcooked or tasteless...seriously you need to try it. Real mashed potatoes with gravy! Drink- try the Rose Tea. No roses included. Just terrific slightly sweet tea with a punch of old smokey whiskey. This stuff is dangerous :-) The only thing that was a slight let down (at least for us) was dessert. But to be honest with you we simply got it because well we're foodies. We were stuffed. Atmosphere- Rose Villa is in a historic home and is such a delight as far as atmosphere and a great place for a special evening-but not over done. Try this place. You'll enjoy it. (Side note: if you have somebody that might be a little bit of a cheapskate and doesn't like to valet park...go ahead and Valet Park. It's free! We gave a nice tip. But we didn't feel pressured to give/pay anything at all.)

    Had reservations for my wife’s Birthday. They placed us upstairs in a tiny loud bar the bar at a high top table. I asked to placed at a table anywhere in or outside. I was told they couldn’t do anything for me. Bad enough that we had to leave but the lack of concern made their customer feel less than satisfied. I left and took my wife to Martini's Organic Restaurant in Daytona Beach. Because of my situation they fit me in and treated us special.

    Went for our anniversary dinner and had wonderful time. I would recommend the Fried Green tomatoes with lobster and remoulade sauce appetizer...it was awesome!

    First saw Rose Villa on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. We enjoy going to different restaurants and this one looked interesting. We went on a weekday at 430 pm. Since it was early, the restaurant was not crowded at all. I had the Jambalaya and Debbie had the Bouillabaisse. Both were excellent. The serving sizes were just right. For dessert, we had the Chocolate Pecan Pie with Ice Cream. The restaurant itself is a wonderful step back in time. The grounds and surrounding areas are beautiful. We enjoyed a peaceful walk on the boardwalk under the bridge after dinner. The trip was well worth our time.

    The menu listed on line was totally outdated. I count on the online menu when deciding if I want to go eat someplace. For example, the Mac & cheese with lobster starter was listed as $15 but in person was $22. The fried chicken with waffles was listed as $18 but $24 in person. Online there was Catch of the day. In person only Sea Bass. When I mentioned to the waitress they needed to update it online, she said several people had mentioned that. Obviously management doesn’t care if this one waitress had several people mention it to her and wasn’t fixed. When the waitress listed the specials, she listed them all as entrees. So one of us ordered what he thought was a main, but was a started. Not even close in size to an entree. They got him something else and she corrected herself at the next table. The building itself and the history was very interesting. But, the food wasn’t good enough, in my opinion, for the price. I won’t go back.

    This beautiful,old, Victorian home is a magical place to have a meal. We sat outside in a gazebo next to a fountain but the inside is equally intriguing and intimate. Our server, Jackson, was very attentive and fun and gave great recommendations! We will definitely come back to this special gem in Ormond.

    We enjoyed the Rose Villa Ormond. We sat on the Gazebo and was able to enjoy the evening and the sunset. The food was delicious and well prepared. The servers were knowledgable about the menu. And their suggestions were perfect. They were polite and attentive. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant.

    Highly recommend! This was our first visit, and we truly enjoyed it. The food was delicious and the staff was friendly and attentive. Shout out to Ray who graciously answered our many questions and gave us helpful recommendations. She is the best! We will definitely return.

    Service was outstanding. Your incredible pork chop was not so incredible this time. We were invited guests and did not want to complain so we said nothing. We were surprised it made it out of the kitchen with all the fat it had. Not much meat to eat. Asked for it to be cooked medium well and it was more medium rare. We know from past experiences it is normally outstanding. Just thought you would want to know.

    Charming house from the early 1900’s turned restaurant. That in itself creates the ambiance. We have been here several times. The food is always great. There is a speakeasy upstairs with a fantastic bourbon selection, if you are looking for a unique dinner/cocktail evening this is your spot.

    This is one, if not our absolute favorite place to eat in the Ormond-Daytona area. The ambience is amazing - eclectic yet very comfortable and a feast for the eyes. The food is just perfect! The fried chicken, pork chops, chicken and waffles, etc...it's all great. Not good, great...not hyperbole either. Bit of advice, You must check out the bathrooms too. A must visit if you're in the area.

    Made a reservation for brunch to celebrate my mom's birthday. Service was attentive to our needs, food was very tasty, especially the shaved brussels sprouts salad. We have been to Rose Villa several times over the years, and it is always a good experience.

    Enjoyed our time immensely! Server John was exceptional! Crab cake Po Boy, Fried Chicken and Waffle's, Crab Cake, and iced tea delicious! Will suggest Carrot Cake could be better, it is too dense and has way too much tasteless frosting. Cheese cakes were great however. We will return. It was the perfect place for a quiet birthday celebration.

    Two things - first, the times for Sunday brunch are not correct on the Rose Villa website. Second, although we had reservations, we were seated in a small room alongside a party of 12. It was difficult to hold a conversation and made our special birthday lunch somewhat disappointing.

    If you’re looking for a place to celebrate a very special event, this is it!! Lovely and elegant setting! Each plate is beautifully designed by their chef and is palatable. Decor is from the 1920s. Staff is excellent. Would highly recommend!

     Well, we have been here on two occasions, and have never been disappointed. We have had the crab cake as an appetizer both times and it was very delicious and has  a nice amount of lump crab meat.  The deviled eggs are a very nice treat. They are known for their fried chicken, which will not disappoint, especially that delicious breading !on our second visit we had the special which was the grouper sandwich  on a brioche bun. Fresh and The coleslaw is creamy and delicious. And our server, John, who I requested the second time as well, is an amazing kind, thoughtful, and  friendly and knowledgeable guy!

    Five stars seems insufficient. Everything was unbelievable. We are here for a week and have already made 3 more reservations for the rest of our stay. If you are in the Jacksonville or Orlando areas, you should make the drive. It’s that great.

    I love the relaxed feel of this place – like a comfortable dining room in a friends home. Two persons in our party ate daily specials and they did not disappoint. The home made biscuits are a nice touch. We were forced to use valet parking which was a bit over the top considering the parking lot was less than full and it was a Sunday afternoon. It was an overall enjoyable experience.
