Cool location in The Castle (15th and Peachtree) that can feel like an undiscovered treasure. Great cocktails and friendly service.
R&R was excellent. The service is friendly, efficient and accommodated our need to get to the symphony. The bar riffs on classic cocktails are good and limit sweetness when needed. The tiniest thing to note was that the fish was over seasoned. But I'm finding that is true at many places. So I'll simply ask for light or no salt in the future. Overall my wife and I will be back and look forward to it.
Great food but so noisy it was difficult to carry on a conversation...
Such an amazing low-key place to celebrate any occasion. Not the most trendy or hip joint and that is what makes it so special. The staff is awesome too!
Unique space. Good food. Good drinks. No-rush ambiance, which is lovely to have a nice evening amongst friends. Only drawback: you MUST valet ($5 + tip) otherwise the closest lots are $8/hr!!!!!
Lovely restaurant, great food and ambiance. Would recommend.
I enjoyed everything about this restaurant. More people need to paying attention to it
I love this restaurant and hope it succeeds. Just a couple of things that would be better. Food comes out cold sometimes. Our hot crab mushroom app was cold. My pork chop was cold last time we ate there.
The tables are too close together for older adults to get to the bench seating and everyone hears your business.
I love this place, the aesthetic is unique and fun, the food and drinks are great and I'm really impressed with the service. We were running 10 minutes late and we were going to the symphony after dinner, the host was very generous and offered me great options to eat so we could make the show on time.
Your service was great. You are so kind. We are made to feel very special. Away from the real world. We will return. Again thank you.
Rose and Rye was delicious! Our server was attentive and kind and the ambience was relaxed and classic.
The arrival experience is a bit awkward entering the restaurant; there's not a true hostess stand and long run of stairs up to the dining area lack aesthetic appeal. Once in the dining area, the ambience improves, but still feels a little cold...the old building charm mostly saves the day. On to the food, we ordered 3 appetizers: the bacon wrapped dates, calamari and crabbed stuffed mushrooms. The dates were delicious, the mushrooms were okay, but the calamari was disappointing...they breading on the calamari was too think and there was no taste to to them. On to the main course, we had the red fish special, the scallops and the steak. All main dishes were plated beautifully...the red fish had good flavor, the was prepared nicely...the scallops (served over mushroom risotto) were outstanding. The scallops were the best dish we tasted that evening so full of flavor and seared to perfection and perfect consistency for the risotto. We ordered the brussel sprouts as a shared side and they weren't very good. They were flash fried, but then drizzle with some sweet sauce they made the sprouts soggy and conflicted with the essence of the sprouts. In general, food was good, ambience was okay and service was great. 3.5/5 for our 1st experience at Rose + Rye.
Everything about Rose & Rye was wonderful but the best part was by far the food. Do yourself a favor and order the filet. It’s melt-in-your-mouth good. The service was on point and I was delighted to hear the interesting story of the building’s history. It made the ambiance even better. It’s a unique setting ideal for an evening of good food and great conversation.
My husband and I were looking for dinner before our show at the Alliance and wanted to try something new. The wine list was fine, appetizer of fries green tomatoes were expensive but okay. The entrees is when the wheels came off. I had the Salmon and Quinoa which was terribly bland and had clearly been previously frozen; seemed like moments before. My husband got the seafood pasta that was not good. It was served on spaghetti noodles, but the worst part was the potentially spoiled mussels. He had one and couldn’t eat the rest. He even felt ill for a few hours after. The bill for two glasses of win, one appetizer, and two entrees was right at $100. This meal was not worth the cost and not worth our date night.
Great food. Exceptional service. And a unique and interesting location. Highly recommend.
I love this restaurant. The staff was excellent. Could not have asked for better service.
Nice place. Food was way too salty. Cocktails were ok, have had better in Atlanta
Enjoyable meal before our concert. Ariel, our server, was awesome. Great spot for post concert drinks.
Exceptional food, wine & service . Highly recommend trying the renovated Castle next to the High Museum.
Beautiful, interesting location. This historic home is amazing. The modern restaurant is wrapped in an historic building that makes the visit a very cool experience. The owner was an attentive, perfect host. We sat outside and the service was great and adapted as our party moved from our original table to another one out of the sun. All the food was tasty, although I wouldn't say fantastic. I would try it again and recommend it to friends.
I would say that the entrance way needs more light - for the valet as well as the hostess.
The food and drink selection was great! The location is beautiful. The staff was courteous and friendly.
Would you recommend Rose + Rye to a friend" yes, with an asterisk. The food is really good, the service is excellent, but the settings and the noise is undesirable. The tables are set in such proximity, that you feel like you dine with bunch of other people. The might as well set up a long table and seat people on long benches. Also the noise level is quite high. It's not to the point that you cannot maintain a conversation but it's definitely not an intimate, romantic settings.
2nd visit..food was slow to arrive, manager was extremely apologetic. Food is very good, yet pricey.
Service was top notch, food was outstanding and the building was fun and interesting. We can’t wait to go back!
The food and service were good, but the noise level was excessive, primarily because of hard surfaces throughout the restaurant.
Great restaurant! The food, service and ambiance was excellent. The space is so unique inside and out.
Great outdoor seating on a cool Spring day for a business meeting
Awesome food, and awesome service. Will certainly be back to taste the rest of the menu!
Excellent food. Interesting architecture. The wall we sat in front of was literally the original stone when they first built this old house. Great service and attention to detail. The noise level was a bit high for my liking, but it was all conversation and fit with the energy of the place. I would definitely eat here again.
Loved it!! Dinner was delicious and service very attentive. We will be back!
After several enjoyable pre-concert dinners, last Saturday 's dinner was a bust. Our dinners came out well before we'd finished our salads and weren't all that great. Burger was barely OK as to taste and limiting cheese options to American only is bewildering. Shrimp were somewhat better, although polenta was tasteless. Dessert options, always limited, were unattractive. Maybe the very large party going on distracted the kitchen, but that's not really an OK excuse.
The quality of the food, the portion size, the service and ambiance were all excellent. It's not cheap, but you get what you pay for. I highly recommend it and will be back.
I love your place. Everything about the castle is magical to me . I waiters are kind, funny, knowledgeableT. Thank you for making me feel special. D Shaw
Tables a little too close. Wouldn’t be place for romantic dinner
Excellent service. Food was tasty and served in a timely fashion. An excellent place to visit before the symphony.
We waited 20 min and no service after being seated. Walked out.
The room was WAY too loud. The service was slow and unskilled. But the food was good.
Food was very good. Service good also especially on a very busy night. Party of four with no real complaints
The duck was delightful...amazing drink menu and you could cut the pork with a butter knife.
